Su Xu immediately coughed awkwardly, "It just feels bigger than before."
"Tsk tsk." Liu Nian glanced at Su Xu out of the corner of her eye and teased, "Is this what you men focus on? You were just feeling sorry for me."
Liu Nian then cried out in pain again.
Su Xu, who had been lying lazily, immediately sat up straight. "What's wrong?"
Liu Nian placed her hand on her stomach and said with some surprise, "The little ones seem to be kicking me."
"What?" Su Xu quickly leaned forward and curiously placed his hand on his stomach.
At first, his brows were furrowed, but they slowly relaxed, replaced by an expression of unprecedented surprise.
"They're moving!" Su Xu was so excited he was almost incoherent. He grinned, showing off his big white teeth, and chuckled at Liu Nian. "They all look incredibly strong!"
A feeling of happiness, like that of an impending mother and father, filled Su Xu's heart. She took Liu Nian's hand, placed it on top of hers, and felt the strong movements of the little ones.
This was the first time Su Xu truly felt the prospect of becoming a father. Before, he had only thought of fatherhood as a noun and didn't have much of a connection to it. But after his first interaction with them, Su Xu suddenly understood why he felt that happiness and anticipation.
Liu Nian sniffed, feeling a little like crying.
She watched as the man bent down, kissed her belly, and said, "Daddy loves you."
He looked up again, his deep eyes fixed on Liu Nian, "I love your mother even more."
It would be best if these days could last forever.
Su Xu opened his diary, recording his feelings and the date of his first interaction with the children. He looked back at the sleeping woman and wrote in the diary—
"Therefore, death is worthwhile."

Liu Nian slept straight through until the sun was high in the sky. Su Xu had already left, and it was only when Su Feng came to study at home that Liu Nian slowly woke up.
"You're so lucky. Look at any other woman, you can get up whenever you want." Zhang Suzhen was also there.

"Then he would take the rope and put it on the crooked tree at the east end of the village. When someone came by, he would pretend to put it around their neck."
"There was nothing they could do but agree to lend him the money and give him some time to think of a solution."
“They asked Zheng Yanni for money, and Zheng Yanni shouted that they were divorced, and then pretended to be serious as she packed her bedding and said she was going back to her parents’ home.”
Zhang Suzhen spread her hands, "Isn't this just being a scoundrel?"
Liu Nian almost burst out laughing. Were these two not drama queens? They were such good actors.
"Don't get involved in this. Just stay home and rest for a while." Zhang Suzhen looked at Liu Nian with concern. "I'm afraid those villagers won't be able to do anything to Zheng Laosan, so they'll come to your house and cause trouble again."
Liu Nian patted her stomach, "What am I afraid of? If they come, I'll hang myself. I'll kill four lives, let's see who dares to come!"
After saying that, she laughed heartily. To be honest, she thought that Zheng Laosan and his wife were really talented people.
In a sense, they are a good match.
"So no one called the police?" Liu Nian asked again.
Zhang Suzhen turned around and sat down in a chair, slapping her thigh and saying, "I get angry just thinking about this."
