Chapter 3 I wouldn't even dare to do this in my wildest dreams (Part 2)

Bian whispered, "Those people inside are all neighbors from our alley. You have to keep them company when they come to visit. Go ahead, ask Ming Shen to introduce you."

Su Xueli couldn't refuse, so she went into her new house.

As soon as she entered, the women were eating candy and melon seeds, and they were telling Wei Mingshen's dirty jokes.

"Tell your sister-in-law, how many times did it happen last night, and how long did it last?"

"Hahaha..." Several women burst into laughter.

"Can your new wife handle it? Look at you, so tall and strong, and she's so thin and small. She must have suffered a lot."

"I'm telling you, Brother Mingshen, this will go on for a while, so we need to be more considerate and take care of your younger siblings too..."

Wei Mingshen, a grown man with a thick skin, laughed heartily at these utterly shameless words, making Su Xueli blush with embarrassment.

Although she had lived two lives, Wei Mingshen was a complete stranger to her. When she heard people talking about the two of them in a suggestive way, she was still as shy as a naive young girl.

She quickly changed the subject: "Ming Shen, what are the names of these ladies? Could you introduce them to you?"

As he spoke, he took a cup and poured water for them, handing it to them one cup at a time.

They were too embarrassed to make too much noise, so they introduced themselves. When someone asked to see Su Xueli's dowry, she generously opened the cabinet key and showed it to them.

In those days, dowries consisted of handmade items such as shoes, sweaters, and hats made by the new bride herself.

Finally, after getting rid of the group of women, Su Xueli breathed a sigh of relief and sat on the edge of the bed to drink a large gulp of water.

Now that they were alone in the room, the atmosphere suddenly became awkward, their minds filled with the explicit and lewd remarks of those women.

Wei Mingshen stood up, coughed twice, and asked her, "It's getting dark, what would you like to eat?"

Su Xueli felt a lump in her throat. In her past life, she would always cautiously ask him while cooking, and he would always reply irritably, "Whatever."

Unexpectedly, it was his turn to ask her that question.

So she lowered her head and retorted, "Whatever."

Wei Mingshen stroked Qingqing's chin, glanced at her with amusement, and said, "Whatever."

He was in a good mood, and after returning to his parents' home in three days, he would be a single young man again. This time, he was determined to marry Lin Meizhi.

He hummed a song as he left the house and went to the kitchen to say to Cao Maizi, "Mom, roast some peanuts for me."

Cao Maizi scolded him with a stern face: "You only care about your own cravings. You asked Xue Li what she wanted to eat for dinner. She was too embarrassed to tell me. You should ask her."

Wei Mingshen said, "She said whatever."

Cao Maizi said, "Oh, okay, let's reheat the dishes from yesterday's table and make some millet porridge."

The dishes served after the meal are considered good these days; they contain both meat and vegetables, and have a complete flavor!

While having dinner together, Wei Mingyue still had a sour face, but she didn't want to be ignored anymore, so she deliberately picked a fight, "Sister-in-law, this is the first time I've ever seen a new bride sleep in broad daylight on her second day after marriage. I feel so embarrassed."

"Snap!" Cao Maizi tapped her daughter's hand with her chopsticks.

"Your sister-in-law didn't sleep well last night, so what's wrong with her taking a nap during the day? Mind your own business, you little girl."

Wei Mingshen rolled his eyes at his younger sister, "Can't even hot rice porridge shut you up?"

Su Xueli chuckled softly.

Wei Mingyue's pretty face turned as red as an apple with anger. She slammed down her chopsticks and said to Wei Mingsen sarcastically, "Heh, my brother, you really love your wife, huh? Well then, you should live a good life with your wife from now on and stop thinking about other people."

This is an attempt to sow discord, letting the new sister-in-law know that her husband has someone else in his heart.
