"It's filthy, isn't that what you did?" Xu Xinchen was already in excruciating pain in her wrist, and now that she heard the culprits dare to complain about her, she became furious.
"You still have the nerve to say that? If you hadn't bound my hand so tightly, would I have been so badly injured? Now that the blood is splattered, you're blaming me?"
The man was taken aback at first, and his expression seemed to show a hint of guilt, but he quickly suppressed that guilt and transformed it into a fierce look.
"Even if we get it all sorted out, what are you planning to do? I'm warning you, if you keep acting up, it won't just be as simple as tying your hands up next."
Xu Xinchen gritted her teeth, finally regaining her composure after losing her temper in anger. She turned her head and gave the man a cold look: "I know. I just wanted to remind you who caused my hand to be like this. You have no right to complain about me."
Upon hearing Xu Xinchen's words, the man coldly snorted and turned to leave. Watching him leave the room, Xu Xinchen slowly moved her body, inching closer to the bowl of porridge.
With her hands bound for so long and bearing such severe injuries, Xu Xinchen tried to lift the porridge, but she simply couldn't.
He had only lifted the bowl of porridge a tiny distance off the ground when his hand lost all strength, causing it to fall and wobble on the ground.
The bowl containing the hot porridge was a white porcelain bowl. It made a very loud noise when it fell to the floor, not to mention it shook on the floor. The obvious sound made the man who was guarding outside rush in immediately.
Along with the man entered, his extremely loud roar echoed: "What do you think you're doing? Didn't I already warn you to behave yourself?!"
When he came in and saw that the bowl of lean meat porridge had been spilled all over the floor, but the bowl didn't look broken at all. It looked like an accident. He then had an embarrassed look on his face: "You, what happened to this?"
Xu Xinchen helplessly raised her hand: "My hand is probably too badly injured. I wanted to pick up this bowl, but I couldn't lift it at all. Instead, it fell to the ground."
After listening to Xu Xinchen's explanation, the man frowned deeply, glanced down at Xu Xinchen, and then turned and walked out without saying a word.
Xu Xinchen watched the man's retreating figure, stretched out her severely injured hand, and rubbed her temples. It seemed there was no other way; there was only half a bowl of porridge left, so she would just have to make do with it.
After making up her mind, Xu Xinchen bent down to eat the porridge when she saw the man who had just turned away with a cold expression come back, carrying a small box in his hand.
The man saw Xu Xinchen's actions, his brows furrowed even more, and a hint of disdain flashed in his eyes: "This porridge has already been sloshing around on the ground, and you still want to eat it?"
A slight smile flickered across Xu Xinchen's face, but she maintained a perfectly calm expression: "If I don't eat this, will you make me another serving?"
Before the man could speak, Xu Xinchen continued, "If you don't make it for me, I'll go hungry. This half-bowl of porridge may have wobbled on the ground, but it didn't spill."
The surface is clean, but the inside is still clean.
After hearing Xu Xinchen's words, the man's expression became even more intense: "Don't eat this anymore, I'll get you a new bowl."
As he spoke, the man muttered in a low voice, "Anyway, there's still a whole bunch outside. Those were all prepared for you. If you don't eat them, they'll just go to waste."
Xu Xinchen was speechless for a moment. It turned out that a lot of lean meat porridge had been prepared for her outside. Was this a plan for her to live on lean meat porridge for the rest of her stay here?
The man clearly didn't want to pay attention to what Xu Xinchen was thinking. He squatted down and opened the box he was carrying. Xu Xinchen turned her head and saw that the box contained Yunnan Baiyao (a traditional Chinese medicine), gauze, and some other medicines she couldn't identify.
The man took out a white powder from the box and, without even saying a word, grabbed Xu Xinchen's injured wrist and sprinkled it directly on it.
Xu Xinchen's wrist stung from the white powder, and she couldn't help but pull back, letting out a soft cry: "Wait, it hurts!"
A hint of impatience flashed across the man's face: "If it hurts, just bear it and stop yelling here. I'm already being kind by applying some medicine to you, what more do you want?"
Fine, circumstances dictate the course of events. Xu Xinchen gritted her teeth, enduring the stinging pain in her wrist, her eyes fixed on the man applying medicine to her.
You wouldn't know unless you looked closely. It turns out that the man didn't look very old, maybe only around 20 years old, with a touch of youthfulness on his face.
No wonder he still had a touch of kindness in his actions. I just don't understand how someone who looks so young and has such a kind heart could end up with that "Sister Hua" and even get involved in kidnapping. Doesn't he know that's illegal?
Xu Xinchen had her own thoughts in mind, and she became engrossed in watching. The man felt flustered under Xu Xinchen's gaze and couldn't help but raise his hand to block her eyes.
His tone was filled with intense anger: "What are you looking at? Haven't you looked enough? If you look again, I'll gouge your eyes out."
Xu Xinchen was taken aback, and then realized that she had been so engrossed in her thoughts that she had forgotten to look away. No wonder the man was uncomfortable. She coughed a few times awkwardly and changed the subject.
“You look quite young. How could you do something like kidnapping someone?” Xu Xinchen said, her voice filled with deep concern. “Do you know that doing this is illegal?”
The man chuckled, sounding completely nonchalant: "Of course I know it's illegal, but it's a quick way to make money. I don't know how else to earn money."
Upon hearing the man's words, Xu Xinchen frowned deeply. Was this man doing this because he was short of money? Thinking this, she asked the question aloud.
