Chapter 122 Sparring (Part 1)

Tian Tian has high emotional intelligence; seeing that things weren't going well, she ran up and called Master Wang.

"Oh, Commander Wang is here! Director Feng, come in and have a seat. Come and get your hair washed." Master Wang busied himself, leading them into the VIP room.

The room wasn't very big to begin with, and it felt crowded when four people came in.

"Why don't you go downstairs? The rooms there are bigger." Master Wang smiled ingratiatingly at Zhou Xing. Now that he'd been offered this advice, how could Zhou Xing refuse?

Zhou Xing reluctantly stepped outside, not forgetting to glare at Qin Xiaoyu at the door.

Qin Xiaoyu wasn't happy about it, is it my fault? If she had the choice, why would she greet Jing Tian's mother and fiancée with a smile?

Bai Weiwei probably came with a testing mindset, not wanting to be filled with jealousy as soon as she entered the door, which would make her feel uncomfortable, so she could only smile and find fault.

"Sister-in-law, Jingtian is leaving soon, why don't you two get together a little longer?" Bai Weiwei smiled innocently.

"You two are having a get-together?" Director Feng looked over curiously again. In her eyes, Qin Xiaoyu and Jing Tian were completely unrelated, like a customer and a hairdresser.

"Yes, my sister-in-law went to the party last time we sent Jingtian off. She wore a beautiful dress and even danced with Zhou Xing." Bai Weiwei smiled even more sweetly.

Little darling, have you given yourself away? Okay, you do the first day of the month, I'll do the fifteenth.

Qin Xiaoyu maintained her smile while pulling Bai Weiwei's hair taut with her hands.

Bai Weiwei felt a pain, her face twitched, and she suddenly looked up at the mirror. Their eyes met, sparks flying.

"Little Qin can dance?" Director Feng's gossip instincts were completely aroused. In fact, Commander Wang was not much better off; she was almost killed by curiosity, but she held back out of a sense of duty.

"Yes, my sister-in-law invited me to a party last time. At first I didn't want to go, but then I thought it wouldn't be appropriate for a girl to go alone." Qin Xiaoyu had already straightened out her role by this point.

Yes, an elder sister-in-law is like a mother, and this sister-in-law is qualified.

Director Feng's expression softened.

“Weiwei, I remember you were supposed to dance the first dance with Zhou Xing.” Qin Xiaoyu began to retaliate.

"Jing Tian is lazy and doesn't like to dance." Bai Weiwei thought Qin Xiaoyu was already too scared to talk back, but she didn't expect her to dare to fight back.

"You guys seem to know each other quite well, right? You keep calling him 'Brother Xing'," Qin Xiaoyu continued.

"They are very close; they grew up together," Director Feng explained.

"No wonder she left Jing Tian behind at night and had Zhou Xing take him home." Qin Xiaoyu knew perfectly well that Zhou Xing hadn't taken Bai Weiwei home, but she insisted on doing so so she could bring it up.

"Really?" Director Feng was getting a little impatient. Commander Wang was so frightened that he kept giving Qin Xiaoyu meaningful glances, signaling her to say less.

"Later, I left on my own. Jing Tian had been drinking and didn't care about anything." Bai Weiwei's skill was indeed high. She still had a smile on her face and easily deflected the blame.

"Jingtian didn't drink that day, did he? I think he was going to drive." Qin Xiaoyu played her trump card.

"Sister-in-law, you're very observant. I remember you were drunk, weren't you?" Bai Weiwei bit her lip, leaving a row of sharp marks from her white teeth.

"That's right, a girl from a poor family like me, how could I possibly hold my liquor? One sip and I'm out. Oh, and speaking of which, it's all your fault, you forced me to drink." Qin Xiaoyu smiled and teased.

"Girls shouldn't drink alcohol," Director Feng muttered, leaving it unclear who was to blame.

"I was saying the same thing, girls shouldn't drink alcohol, it's not safe outside," Qin Xiaoyu chimed in. Bai Weiwei was shot and fell down, losing a round.

"Little Fish, it's not that I'm being nosy, but don't get involved with them. You can't afford to lose," Commander Wang said worriedly. She had just let the mother and daughter have their hair done first, so Bai Weiwei and Director Feng left hand in hand.

"I understand, Aunt Wang. I'll be careful," Qin Xiaoyu said, her voice lacking confidence. She knew best the unease she felt inside.

For example, right now, she wished she could fly downstairs to Zhou Xing's side and listen to him speak, or even just hear his breathing, which would make her happy.

"Aunt Wang, why are you dressed up so nicely? Your uncle will worry." Zhou Xing leaned lazily against the door frame.

"You little rascal, you're making fun of me now. Get your hair cut and go home quickly," Commander Wang said, deliberately putting on a stern face.

"There's no one home, why go back?" Zhou Xing completely ignored her, put his hands in his pockets, hummed a song and walked towards the kitchen, it seemed he was going to eat there.

Qin Xiaoyu's lips twitched slightly, but when she saw Commander Wang looking at her in the mirror, she quickly put on a stern face.

"Little fish."

Qin Xiaoyu turned around at the sound and saw Zhou Yue. Did she know Zhou Xing was back? Why were her eyes red?

"You've come to see Zhou Xing?"

"Why would I look for him? I'm looking for you." Zhou Yue said, glancing at Commander Wang before turning and walking towards Qin Xiaoyu's office.

"What's wrong with this child?" Commander Wang, who had watched her grow up, asked with concern.

"Her husband is home. Did the two of them have a fight? I'll go over and talk to her later. She's a little princess after all." Qin Xiaoyu shook her head with a wry smile.

Zhou Yue's marriage to her lover was a perfect match; both families were in the military, their fathers were both commanders, and they were old comrades-in-arms who had fought side by side.

However, both children were spoiled and pampered, so it was inevitable that they would bump into each other, and neither of them was willing to give in.

If Zhou Xing's mother were home, she would definitely scold Zhou Yue, and she might be able to restrain herself. But now that no one is around to control her, she's left alone.

Zhou Yue was still wiping away tears in her office upstairs. When Qin Xiaoyu entered the room, she became even more aggrieved and burst into tears.

"What happened?" Qin Xiaoyu walked over quickly, and Zhou Yue threw herself into her arms, bursting into tears.

"Tell me, don't keep me in a hurry, what's wrong?"

"Little Fish, what should I do? I might not be able to have children."

"What kind of talk is that?"

"My mother-in-law said I couldn't get pregnant, so she took me to the hospital for a checkup, and the doctor said I couldn't have children..."

Qin Xiaoyu gasped. In the 1980s, women who didn't have children were often abandoned, and the commander's daughter was no exception. Moreover, the man's family considered themselves to be heirs to the throne. This time, something serious had happened.

"Sister Xiaoyue, please sit down and tell me slowly."

"There's nothing more to say. The doctor said I can't have children, and I never will." Zhou Yue was helped to sit on the sofa by Qin Xiaoyu. She twisted her fingers in pain, tears streaming down her face.

"The medical technology in Beijing is too mediocre. Let's go elsewhere, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, anywhere is fine." Qin Xiaoyu was still unwilling to give up.

"Is it okay?" Xiaoyue looked up at Qin Xiaoyu in a daze.

"Of course you can. With your family's circumstances, it's not difficult to go out for medical treatment. You can just take a plane."

"Yes, I'll go home and talk to my mother-in-law."

"Yes, tell me, should we call your mother first?"

"No, let them have fun. They're already out, so don't worry about home anymore." Zhou Yue shook her head.

Qin Xiaoyu noticed that Zhou Yue had matured a lot in a short period of time.

He's not as selfish and willful as before.
