Chapter 152 Leave No Way Out

Qin Xiaoyu drove to the new school to assess the possibility of moving now.

The main structure of the new school has been renovated, but only a small part of the interior decoration has been completed. Only two rooms have been renovated, and even then, only the floors have been laid, and the walls have not yet been painted.

"Brother Chen, how long does it take to make these simple things?"

"If we stop what we're doing and do these first, it will probably take three to five days to clean all the rooms on the right."

"Three days, I only have three days," Qin Xiaoyu said, biting her lip.

"So urgent? By the way, I think I heard that you and the Zhou family..." Captain Chen was already on the fringes, yet such news still reached his ears, which shows how powerful the spread was.

Qin Xiaoyu gave a wry smile.

"They said some really nasty things, don't take it to heart, girl. Your sister-in-law and I know what kind of person you are. Don't worry, I'll get it done for you as soon as possible," Captain Chen comforted her.

"Thank you, Brother Chen. I'm counting on you." Qin Xiaoyu's eyes reddened.

When she returned to the school, she found Master Wang and a group of students waiting in the courtyard.

How's the little fish?

"Have everyone pack their things, we're moving to the new school."

"Huh? What about the customers here? We can't just leave them here, that would be such a huge loss!" Master Wang's vision was still short-sighted.

"We can't worry about that now. We'll reopen our old shop and try to expand it. We can leave Tian Tian and Ding Xiaoru with two experienced hairdressers to help divert some customers." Qin Xiaoyu thought of her vacant house. It had been closed since the hairdressing school opened, and the rent was still a year away. She figured she might as well use it.

"You're so thoughtful. Oh well, that's all we can do." Master Wang gave the order, and the students got excited again when they heard they were moving to a new school.

In their eyes, Principal Qin is omnipotent; with her around, there is no problem that cannot be solved.

Qin Xiaoyu went upstairs to find Hanhan and her brother, but as soon as she entered the office, she saw them leaning against the window, staring longingly in the direction of the Zhou family, seemingly looking at something.

Seeing Qin Xiaoyu enter the house, Hanhan hurriedly pulled her younger sister over. The younger sister seemed to be sulking, with tears in her eyes, and stubbornly refused to let Qin Xiaoyu hug her.

"Little sister, Mom will buy you a piano in the future, okay?" Qin Xiaoyu felt sorry for the child, who was innocently implicated.

The younger sister twisted her body forcefully, indicating her refusal. She was angry with Qin Xiaoyu, pouting and refusing to acknowledge her.

"It's okay, Mom, don't worry about us. I can take care of my little sister. You go ahead and do your work," Hanhan said sensibly.

Qin Xiaoyu sighed, walked to her desk, and began to pack her things.

"Sister-in-law, what happened?" Tang Wenwen burst in.

"Bad news travels fast, you found out too?"

"I'm afraid everyone in Huicheng already knows that a young widow seduced Commander Zhou's son..."

Qin Xiaoyu gave her a wink before saying to Hanhan, "Take your little sister to play in the yard. When you're moving things upstairs, don't run into her."

Hanhan pulled her younger sister out, and Tang Wenwen went over and closed the door.

"You have no idea how awful those words were, saying you drugged Zhou Xing and slept with him, or something. Ugh, these people should write novels, they make it sound so convincing." Tang Wenwen sullenly sat down on the sofa.

"I don't have time to deal with these things now. Let them say what they want; it's their business." Qin Xiaoyu could only manage a bitter smile. They can't just shut their mouths or sew them shut.

"I'm just so angry! It was Zhou Xing who pursued you, are these people blind?!"

"Bang!" The door was kicked open, and Grandma Hanhan stood in the doorway, looking fierce.

"Mom, what are you doing?" Qin Xiaoyu asked unhappily.

"You still have the nerve to ask me? Why are you criticizing me? The whole neighborhood is talking about it, saying that Commander Zhou's wife beat you up and broke your leg. What am I supposed to do if I don't come and see for myself!" Grandma Hanhan said angrily.

"Now you see, my leg isn't broken, you can go back now," Qin Xiaoyu said bluntly.

"Look at you, how can you not feel ashamed? I told you long ago not to do anything to betray the Zhou family, but you are ungrateful. The Zhou family has been so good to those two children, and you, without even looking in the mirror, want to enter the Zhou family. You little widow, you don't even deserve it..." Grandma Hanhan burst out with all her anger, her words a hundred times more eloquent than usual.

"Mom! I've always respected you. Watch your words. I haven't done anything to wrong anyone, so it's not your place to scold me!" Qin Xiaoyu was trembling with anger.

"Mom, let's go home. What are you shouting here for? Aren't you ashamed? My sister-in-law did nothing wrong!" Tang Wenwen pushed Hanhan's grandmother away with all her might.

"What shame do I have? She's shameless! Her husband died less than a year ago, and she's already sleeping with someone else. My Wenzhi died with his eyes wide open in anger!" Grandma Hanhan got angrier and angrier as she spoke, and finally sat down on the ground, slapping her thighs and bursting into tears.

"You saw me climb into someone else's bed with your own eyes? Gossiping will make your mouth rot! What have I, Qin Xiaoyu, done to wrong your Tang family? Others may say it, but you haven't!" No matter how strong Qin Xiaoyu was, she couldn't bear the knife in her back and was already sobbing uncontrollably.

"Don't say that! Do you think I want to spend your money? Your money is ill-gotten, dirty!" Grandma Hanhan pulled out a few small bills from her pocket and scattered them on the ground.

"I run a barbershop and earn every penny I earn. How is it dirty? Don't make baseless accusations! Zhou Xing and I are both single. Even if we got together, it's none of anyone else's business to gossip!" Qin Xiaoyu was so angry that she couldn't hold back her words.

"You're shameless! I'm so embarrassed for you! My Tang family is so unfortunate to have married such a jinx, you vixen!" Grandma Hanhan cried and cursed in a drawn-out tone.

The corridor was crowded with students who wanted to watch the excitement, and customers who had been turned down but hadn't left immediately were also eager to gossip and weren't going to miss this opportunity, so they squeezed upstairs as well.

"Stop embarrassing yourself here, let's go home!" Tang Wenwen's cousin rushed up and helped drag Hanhan's grandmother.

She was doing laundry at home when she saw some neighbors who often came over. They pulled Grandma Hanhan into the kitchen, talking furtively and incoherently, which made her realize something was wrong. Then she saw Grandma Hanhan run out without even taking off her apron, probably to cause trouble for Qin Xiaoyu.

She told Tang Long a few words and hurriedly followed. As soon as she got upstairs, she saw that the corridor was crowded with people. Tang Wenwen and Master Wang were dragging Grandma Hanhan out, so she came up to help.

Grandma Hanhan, seemingly possessing incredible strength, managed to pull her daughter off the ground, and three women couldn't lift her up.

"Sister-in-law, go out first, find a place to stay, hurry up and leave!" Tang Wenwen saw that Qin Xiaoyu was also crying her eyes out, so she quickly gave her some advice. Since they couldn't get Grandma Hanhan to leave, they could only ask Qin Xiaoyu to stay away.
