"Come in, all the students are here. Tell them, ask these kids if they have any clues." The homeroom teacher led them into the classroom.
"I am Hanhan's mother. He didn't come home after school yesterday. Classmates, does anyone know where he is?"
The students had already heard about the situation last night, and they all looked gloomy.
A little boy silently raised his hand.
"Tell me, tell me quickly!" the teacher urged.
“Yesterday, a few of us made plans to go ice skating after school, but Hanhan said his mother wouldn’t allow it, so he went home by himself.”
In the north, ice skating is the only entertainment for children in winter. There is an artificial lake not far from their school, but Qin Xiaoyu always felt that the ice there was not solid enough, so she wouldn't let Hanhan go to play.
"Did you see him walking in the direction of home?" Qin Xiaoyu felt a glimmer of hope, at least knowing the general direction Hanhan was heading.
"No, we were all happy, preparing our ice skates, and didn't notice Hanhan." The boy sadly wiped away his tears.
"Thank you." Qin Xiaoyu couldn't hide her disappointment.
"Come with me." The teacher led them out.
"I've got an idea. Hanhan is usually very popular. Even students from other classes might know him. I'll go to the principal and have a school-wide announcement, asking students from other classes to recall if they saw Hanhan after school." The teacher's mind worked quickly. This was much more effective than going from class to class.
The principal was very cooperative and announced it over the loudspeaker. Soon, a teacher came over with a pretty little girl.
"Auntie, I'm from Class 3, and I know Hanhan." The little girl spoke with an unnatural shyness on her face, and she stopped halfway through her sentence, fidgeting with her clothes. Qin Xiaoyu understood what was going on.
"I'd like to talk to her alone, is that alright?" Qin Xiaoyu requested.
The principal and teachers all left, giving up their office space.
"There's no one here now, so you can speak."
“Auntie, I like Hanhan. Every day when he gets home from school, I walk with him for a while. He doesn’t know I’m following him. Yesterday, I followed him for a while and saw two men call out to him. Then he went with them.”
"Two men? In military uniforms?" Qin Xiaoyu's first thought was that Commander Zhou had sent someone to pick up Hanhan.
"No, they were wearing ordinary clothes, gray cotton-padded jackets, and there was someone wearing a big leather hat. Oh, and they were pushing a bicycle. Later, they carried Hanhan and put her on the back of the bicycle." The girl described it in detail.
"They're not soldiers, they're pushing bicycles." Qin Xiaoyu was a little confused. Now it seemed that Hanhan had indeed been taken away, but who were these two men?
There aren't many men who can take Hanhan away.
"Auntie, can you keep what I said a secret?" the little girl asked, blushing.
"Okay, this is our secret. I thank you on Hanhan's behalf."
"Auntie, you must find Hanhan," the little girl said earnestly.
"Auntie promises you."
Now she can at least breathe a sigh of relief; from the current perspective, Hanhan did not have an accident.
After leaving school, Qin Xiaoyu had a new plan.
“Brother, take everyone back. Hanhan didn’t get lost or have an accident. He should be somewhere safe right now, just not free.”
"Why would someone want to take him away? Kidnapping? Is that woman surnamed Bai up to her old tricks again?" Qi Si asked, frowning.
"Probably not. Lei Bingzheng has made his move, so she definitely won't continue." Qin Xiaoyu also began to wonder who these two men could be.
If it really was kidnapping, then a message should have been sent by now. Could it be that they just want Hanhan?
The first person we can rule out is Commander Zhou. Even if he wanted to possess Hanhan, he wouldn't resort to such despicable methods. He understands Hanhan's personality well; if he did that, he would only lose the child's heart.
Another possibility is that it's someone from the Tang family.
Qin Xiaoyu then suspected that the focus should fall on the Tang family. Hanhan's grandmother kept saying that Hanhan was of Tang family blood, so it was hard to say that they didn't want to take Hanhan back.
But outright robbery is definitely out of the question. Although Qin Xiaoyu no longer has the Zhou family protecting her, she has Qi Si as her backer. Offending her is tantamount to courting death. A few curses are fine, but if you actually steal her son, you're probably tired of living.
"Come with me to the Tang family." Qin Xiaoyu was taking Qi Si with her, ready to fight to the death.
Last time she went alone, all alone and outnumbered. Now that Qi Si is with her, even if she searches the entire Tang family, no one will dare to utter a sound.
The Tang family's gate was not closed, and Qin Xiaoyu strode in, bumping right into Hanhan who ran out of the east room after hearing the noise.
"What are you doing here again!" Grandma Hanhan had just finished speaking when she saw Qi Si behind Qin Xiaoyu. She immediately lost her confidence and repeated what she had just said in a lower tone, "What are you doing here again?"
"Is Hanhan here?" Qin Xiaoyu stared intently into her eyes, trying to find some clues.
Unfortunately, Grandma Hanhan was terrified as soon as she saw Qi Si. Her eyes darted around, and she couldn't tell if there was a ghost hiding there.
"Didn't you look for him yesterday? He didn't come back." Grandma Hanhan didn't dare to block the doorway.
"Is that Xiaoyu? What happened?"
The wife called out from the inner room. Qin Xiaoyu didn't care about anything else at the moment and pushed the door open to rush in.
"Madam, Hanhan is missing. He hasn't come home all night. Has he returned?"
"What? The child is missing?" The wife immediately panicked, and Qin Xiaoyu felt a chill in her heart. The wife knew nothing.
"Madam, Hanhan was taken away by someone, she should be safe, don't be afraid."
"Who took it away?" the wife asked hurriedly.
"His classmate saw it and said it was two men."
"Where's the second son? Call him over here!" the wife yelled at Hanhan's grandmother.
"He's on the night shift tonight and is still asleep in that room... I'll go call him!" Seeing that the lady's eyes were bloodshot and she was waving her cane as if to hit someone, Grandma Hanhan ran off to call for help.
"I, I, I don't know anything." Grandpa Hanhan looked completely dazed and didn't know anything when asked, so he just shook his head.
But an honest person's eyes can see right through you.
Grandpa Hanhan was completely unaware of the situation, and Qin Xiaoyu felt somewhat desperate.
If we're talking about the Tang family taking Hanhan away, then there were only two people involved, and if Hanhan's grandfather wasn't involved, then there was no one else.
My cousin has already been informed and has no idea what's going on. It's a problem for the Tang family to find two more men.
"Madam, I can't worry about anything else. I'll search inside and outside the house, okay?" Qin Xiaoyu steeled her heart, no longer afraid of a complete falling out.
"Alright, I've given the order. You can search the Tang family's house as you like. I have a cold, I took some cold medicine yesterday, and slept through the night. I don't remember anything. Go ahead and search." The lady readily agreed.
Qin Xiaoyu searched all the rooms but found no clues.
Hanhan's grandparents stood in the yard, looking rather anxious. Could it be that this matter really has nothing to do with them?
Only her uncle's house was left. Qin Xiaoyu gritted her teeth, pushed open the door, and went inside.
