Chapter 325 Let's introduce someone.

“That would be perfect!” Xu Zheng, thick-skinned as ever, readily agreed.

"Look how well Xiaoyu handled this, Lao Xu, knowing Xiaoyu is your good fortune." Director Feng was completely convinced when he heard this.

"Ah, it's a blessing, it's a blessing." Master Xu was almost speechless.

"Sister Xu, please take Mr. Xu home first and give him some blood pressure medication. He's a bit agitated today, so please observe him closely and spend time with him. Once everything is settled in a few days, I'll ask Director Feng to cut the ribbon and then bring him over." Qin Xiaoyu was worried that Mr. Xu's agitation might harm his health, so she called over Xu Zheng.

"You want me to cut the ribbon? That's a great thing!" Director Feng said with a smile, then nudged Minister Hong and said, "There are even bigger leaders here, why don't you invite them?"

"I'm afraid I can't get enough people to help me, hehe." Qin Xiaoyu smiled sheepishly.

"I'm only two pounds heavier than her, how come you can't get her to come? Why don't you give it a try?" Minister Hong said jokingly, and everyone laughed.

After the incident, Minister Hong's impression of Qin Xiaoyu improved even more, and he kept praising her on the way back.

"It's a pity that such a person is a widow," Director Feng sighed.

"What did you say? A widow?" Minister Hong was transferred from the provincial level and was not very aware of Qin Xiaoyu's past.

"Yes, she became a widow at such a young age. If she had parents who were open-minded and didn't object, she could have married into a good family. But if they were picky and pushy, she would be courting death!" Director Feng had always had a problem with Zhou Xing's mother, and his words were always sarcastic.

"That's a real pity," Minister Hong said regretfully.

"To be honest with you, if Jingtian weren't away and not coming back, I would have already considered taking this daughter-in-law. What's wrong with finding someone who's never been married? There are plenty of cases where a woman's lack of understanding makes her mother-in-law half-dead. If Qin Xiaoyu were my daughter-in-law, I would live many more years," Director Feng sighed.

"You've come to terms with it, but then again, Qin Xiaoyu is really worth it. By the way, should we introduce her to someone? There are plenty of government officials who don't have wives." Minister Hong suddenly had an idea.

"You're kidding me. Someone like Bai Weiwei marrying an old man? I won't do that! Our Xiaoyu won't marry an old man!" Director Feng waved his hands repeatedly.

"Are you blind? Aren't there younger ones among them?!" Minister Hong angrily punched her twice.

"who?"

"Little Lu, Lu Di."

"This really works! Lu Di is divorced, right? By the way, you were transferred here together, no wonder you know the details!" Director Feng thought about it seriously and nodded again.

“Yes, he’s divorced. His ex-father-in-law is no ordinary man, you know that, right?” Minister Hong clenched his fist and gestured.

"I heard about it. Why did they get divorced? Besides, although he was transferred from the provincial capital, he's now the director of the municipal party committee's research office. Everyone knows that this position is a reserve position; he'll be promoted sooner or later." Director Feng also knew some inside information; Jing Tian's father was also a government official.

"You don't understand. I heard that his ex-wife pursued him back then. That woman was restless; she went abroad less than two years after their marriage and cheated on him, which infuriated his former father-in-law, who said he only recognized his son-in-law and not his daughter. Lu Di was proud and arrogant, so they eventually got divorced. But his father-in-law is still very good to him."

"Alright, see you at the ribbon-cutting ceremony."

Qin Xiaoyu never dreamed that two women would arrange her life's most important event while sitting in the car.

To be honest, Zhou Yue's method was actually quite effective. In less than ten days, she and Deng Jianyan brought the two children back with them.

The two children also suffered in Guangzhou, unable to find a place to live, let alone work, and unable to move an inch without a letter of introduction.

She spent all her money again, was so hungry that her stomach was practically touching her back, and had to sleep under a bridge at night, while also having to be wary of people harassing Xiao Jin.

Wang Jian still had a conscience; out of concern for Xiao Jin's safety, he thought of going home.

It was nighttime patrol time, and everyone who could run away had already done so. They didn't move, just waiting to be repatriated.

Repatriation will not be carried out immediately; they will have to wait a few more days at the detention center.

Once inside the shelter, men and women were separated. Xiao Jin was timid and hadn't been out for long. She hadn't seen much of the world and already regretted coming out.

Xiao Jin could only see Wang Jian once a day during lunch. When she saw her family, all Xiao Jin could do was cry, which made Wang Jian feel both heartbroken and helpless.

It was hot in Guangzhou, and Xiao Jin developed heat rash all over her body. It was so itchy that she couldn't sleep. She wanted to go out, but the door was locked, so she could only get some fresh air through the window.

The room was filled with beds scattered haphazardly, all occupied by sleeping people. She tiptoed to the window, and just as she was about to climb onto the windowsill to sit down, the woman sleeping beside her suddenly sat up, grabbed her, and shouted, "Thief!"

"What? I didn't steal it!" Xiao Jin panicked.

The woman just kept screaming with her eyes closed, which alerted the staff, and Xiao Jin was taken away.

"I was just feeling hot and went to get some fresh air, I really didn't steal anything!" Xiao Jin tried her best to explain, but no one believed her.

Detainees are not allowed to carry valuables. The woman who said she had been robbed had ten yuan hidden on her, but it was stolen at night. She knew that talking about it would be useless, so she pretended to be asleep and waited for someone not to hook her.

She had already drifted off to sleep, but Xiao Jin, being reckless, bumped into her as she passed by, and was thus mistaken for a thief.

"I really didn't take it! I can't even get out of here, where would I put the money if I stole it?" Xiao Jin kept protesting her innocence.

"Take her inside and search her." The staff knew she wouldn't admit it until she was faced with a desperate situation, so they took her back to her room.

The room had just returned to calm. Seeing them enter, they all sat up again.

The staff led Xiao Jin to the bed. Xiao Jin lifted the sheet herself, revealing a straw mat underneath, which was useless.

She forcefully lifted the straw mat again, revealing only the bed frame underneath—still empty. She had been searched several times; the money wasn't with her.

"See?" Xiao Jin said confidently.

"Who can you fool with your little tricks?" The staff member pushed her aside, reached out and lifted the straw mat, which magically split into two pieces, with a ten-yuan banknote sandwiched in the middle, perfectly flat.

"I didn't put this there!"

"So I put that there?" The staff member's words caused a burst of laughter.

Xiao Jin felt a chill run through her body; she was gripped by fear.

After being locked in the cabin for a day, she received news that she would not be deported; she had a criminal record for theft and would be going to a juvenile detention center.

Xiao Jin stood there blankly as others dragged her along, powerless to resist. It was lunchtime, and everyone was lining up to get their food from the cafeteria.

She glanced at the long queue and suddenly called out, "Wang Jian!"

This place is a melting pot of accents from all over the country, and her Mandarin accent stood out. Wang Jian shot out of the line like an arrow and rushed towards the door.

The staff forcefully pressed Xiao Jin's head down and shoved her into the car. Wang Jian was also blocked at the door and received a beating.
