Chapter 639 Different Ideologies

"Little Fish, if this continues, we really can't continue." Master Liang was exhausted from arguing.

Qin Xiaoyu discovered that she had also been dragged into this vicious cycle of the Snake game. Apart from Zhu Xu, everyone knew that his design was flawed.

Making seersucker is a very dangerous endeavor, and only highly skilled individuals can do it. For Zhu Xu to attempt it would be a disaster.

He took the worst aspects of seersucker to the extreme: bulky, cumbersome, flamboyant, and cheap.

Sometimes they would argue so fiercely that it would be deafening. Qin Xiaoyu even imagined whether Zhu Xu's works would cause a sensation when they were exhibited.

Such comprehensive examples of negative examples are hard to find.

Zhu Xu couldn't face the truth and desperately tried to prove himself right. Meanwhile, the others desperately tried to prove him wrong.

A group of people doing useless work around a pile of waste paper is an unexpected waste and the least worthwhile thing to do.

Unlike Zhu Xu, Man Aihong has been on a winning streak. She has already opened up markets in several nearby cities, with some merchants expressing their intention to become her agents and others planning to open her own counters.

This left Qin Xiaoyu extremely conflicted. Why did it have to be a bundled sale? She only needed one Man Ai Hong!

Master Liang's outburst was expected. Qin Xiaoyu knew that although he was reserved and didn't like to cause trouble, he was stubborn at heart, just like last time when he got angry and wanted to run back to Northeast China.

She was also constantly worried that the conflict would escalate.

Zhu Xu, however, refused to believe in fate and pushed everyone to this point.

Before this meeting, Qin Xiaoyu had repeatedly emphasized that they would only discuss Jie Wei's manuscript.

Jiewei's design drafts are almost complete. If the meeting goes smoothly, they can finalize a dozen or even twenty styles that can be put into production directly.

Time is of the essence; they need to finalize the design as soon as possible to avoid affecting the production schedule.

But as soon as the meeting started, Zhu Xu jumped up.

“This drawing looks a lot like mine, take a look.” Zhu Xu flipped through his sketchbook to find design drafts.

"Passed, next one." Seeing that things weren't going well, Master Liang quickly took out another draft. Xu Jingye also became nervous and immediately started discussing it with him.

"Take a look, aren't they similar in style? Mine is more mature." Zhu Xu still took out his design draft. When the two designs were placed side by side, Qin Xiaoyu sighed inwardly.

What kind of shamelessness is it to claim that these two designs are similar?

The fashion of the festival is very flowy, with light green fabric that flares out with large ruffles and spirals down. You can imagine a tall person like Hu Xing wearing it and walking gracefully, her whole being would be full of dynamism.

Zhu Xu's design also features large ruffles, but they run horizontally from top to bottom. It would be fine if it were a tube skirt, but the most ridiculous thing is that it also has a cinched waist.

“It doesn’t look like it. Let’s discuss the next one.” Qin Xiaoyu handed Zhu Xu’s design draft back to him.

"We share the same ideals, but mine is more suitable! Why can't you face the truth? Is it so hard to accept me? Can't you even look at me properly!" Zhu Xu's long-suppressed emotions finally erupted, his face flushed and neck thick, he was already losing control.

"Zhu Xu, we are all facing reality. You should be more realistic." Qin Xiaoyu thought of Man Aihong and wanted to save face for him, so she didn't say anything too harsh.

“Yes, Xiao Zhu, be realistic. Our design studio has high standards, you know how you got in,” Master Liang couldn’t help but point out.

“My reality, haha, my reality! Everyone on Fashion Street knows I’m a kept man. My wife earns my living. She works hard outside, and that’s why you’re willing to take me in, right?” Zhu Xu said, his eyes already filled with tears of humiliation.

"Yes! You're right! You're just a freeloader! You're not cut out to be a designer, so just accept your fate. I know your wife works hard, so why don't you go out and do business with her? Do you know how hard we work to accommodate you! Our workload is several times what it used to be! Please, we're all adults, don't cause trouble for others!" Master Liang usually doesn't talk much, but these few words were precise and ruthless, each one hitting the nail on the head.

Qin Xiaoyu wanted to give him a thumbs up. Every word he said was exactly what she wanted to say.

“Exactly, every meeting is a waste of time. If this continues, the factory will have no products to produce, we won’t be able to finalize designs, and the fashion show will be rushed. You should also consider the collective interests. People can’t be so selfish.” Xu Jingye rarely spoke so much.

"Heh, you've finally told the truth. Fine, I'm nothing but trash, I'm selfish! Each of you had dozens of design drafts approved, but I had none. Okay, I'm trash, I admit it!" Zhu Xu grabbed his dozen or so design drafts and tore them to shreds.

Jiewei was terrified and hurriedly protected his design drafts, fearing that they might be accidentally damaged.

"Alright, Zhu Xu, you're tired. Go back and rest for a few days. Let's continue the meeting." Now that she'd laid bare her true colors, Qin Xiaoyu was ready to clean house and didn't want to keep him around anymore.

I'll just consider him an employee I'm not working for, as long as he doesn't cause trouble.

"Alright, I got it. If this place doesn't want me, there are plenty of other places that will! I won't come even if you invite me next time. Just you wait and see!" Zhu Xu said, and strode downstairs.

"It's a pity about Sister Man." Jiewei sighed.

"You guys discuss it, I'll go pick her up at the station." Qin Xiaoyu glanced at her watch; Man Aihong's train was almost here. She was a little worried, so she decided to go meet her. Some things were better discussed directly with Man Aihong.

As I came downstairs, the women in the shop stared at each other, looking quite worried.

“Zhu Xu had Gao Daxiong take him away,” Cheng Fuyue said with sharp eyes.

"Hehe, I'm not afraid of bad things happening, I'm just afraid of bad people." Qin Xiaoyu sighed. Now she had to go pick up Man Aihong even more. Gao Daxiong might not know what to say.

Guangzhou Station is always packed with people, and Qin Xiaoyu wasn't confident she could catch Man Aihong.

She couldn't remember what clothes Man Aihong wore when she went out, but it was pretty much the same as everyone else on the street: polyester pants, and she liked to wear a cotton hat that hung down softly, covering most of her face.

Perhaps there really are magnetic fields or something like that in this world. Just as there were very few people left at the exit and Qin Xiaoyu turned to leave, Man Aihong appeared in her line of sight.

The clothes were correct, the hat was correct, and she was carrying a wet woven bag in her hand.

"Sister Man!" Qin Xiaoyu waved and called out.

"Little Fish? What happened to Zhu Xu?" Man Aihong asked alertly.

"It's nothing serious, we just had a fight during the meeting," Qin Xiaoyu reassured her, and Man Aihong sighed. She probably expected this.

"What's this?" Qin Xiaoyu heard a lot of noise coming from the bag, a series of snapping sounds...

"Crabs, Zhu Xu loves to eat them, so I brought back some fresh ones." Man Aihong weighed them in her hand; they weighed about ten pounds.

"Let's grab a bite to eat first." Qin Xiaoyu glanced at the buildings in the distance and spotted a large restaurant.
