Chapter 640 Encountering Jing Tian

"Let's just find a small restaurant to eat at. I'm not dressed like this for a big city." Man Aihong guessed what she was thinking.

The two people walked out of the parking lot through the passageway. There were many beggars on the roadside. Some chased after the passengers, while others crawled on the ground and reached out their hands.

They walked cautiously forward with the crowd. Man Aihong was afraid that Qin Xiaoyu would go to a fancy restaurant, so she focused on a small shop and strode forward.

"Please have mercy..." a beggar said in a hoarse voice, speaking in Mandarin.

Qin Xiaoyu's body trembled, and she turned around to look.

The beggar hadn't had a haircut or bath in ages; his hair was filthy, long, and tangled, and vegetable scraps were stuck to his beard. His clothes were tattered and unrecognizable. But those eyes—Qin Xiaoyu would never forget them, even in her dying moments.

It's Jing Tian!

She backed away in terror.

At that very moment, Jing Tian recognized her. He mustered all his strength and suddenly lunged at her...

Qin Xiaoyu's mind went blank; she was completely stunned.

With a flash, Man Aihong turned around and returned without anyone noticing. She swung the woven bag in her hand and hit Jing Tian in the face, knocking him to the ground.

Man Aihong wanted to continue, but Qin Xiaoyu had already come to her senses.

She snatched the bag from Man Aihong's hand and threw it at Jing Tian.

"What's wrong? Those are my crabs!" Man Aihong couldn't bear to part with her crabs and wanted to pick them up again.

“He has a contagious disease, a fatal one, so we don’t want the crab. I’m afraid that if the crab accidentally hurts him and gets his blood on him, it’ll be all over.” Qin Xiaoyu had experience with this; Wang Lei was a lesson she learned the hard way last time—don’t let a bad person get you into trouble.

"Oh my god, that's scary!" Man Aihong, being a woman, was frightened after hearing this and pulled Qin Xiaoyu back.

"Call the police! Don't touch him, get out of the way! He has a virus!" Qin Xiaoyu shouted loudly as more and more people gathered to watch, fearing that someone might run into Jing Tian.

Jing Tian had just been hit hard by that ten-pound crab, and when he fell, his head hit the ground again. He couldn't get up for a long time and was still struggling.

At this moment, the railway police responsible for maintaining order outside the station had already rushed over after hearing the news. Just as he was about to go up to check, Qin Xiaoyu grabbed him.

"Don't move him. The virus he carries is contagious and deadly. Call an ambulance. The doctors will handle it. It's best not to let him move around. He's vicious and could hurt someone!"

The police panicked upon hearing this, but seeing that Qin Xiaoyu's clothes, appearance, and speech did not seem to indicate that she was ill, they decided to believe her for the time being.

Hearing there was an infectious disease, no place wanted to take them in, and after much back and forth, a vehicle from a shelter finally arrived. The staff were all fully equipped, even wearing gas masks, before they carried the stretcher over.

Jing Tian refused to submit and tried to break free, but several people pinned him to the ground and injected him with an injection. He didn't know what it was, but he went limp and collapsed.

After finally getting the person away, Qin Xiaoyu was taken back inside to give a statement.

After dealing with Jingtian's matter, more than an hour had passed. Both of them were hungry, so they didn't bother to choose a place and went straight into a teahouse.

"You know him?" Man Aihong noticed that Qin Xiaoyu's expression was off; she had encountered an enemy.

"It's a long story, it happened back in my hometown, I'll tell you slowly when we have time." Qin Xiaoyu knew that Jing Tian was probably in grave danger this time. Although he had done many evil deeds, it was not a pity. But thinking of Xiao Zichen, her heart still felt heavy.

"Tell me about Zhu Xu first. He's produced design drawings again?" Man Aihong knew perfectly well what was going on.

"Yes, I had an argument with Master Liang, and I think everyone's opinion is..."

"Stop talking, Xiaoyu." Man Aihong seemed to have made up her mind. "I'll beg you just this once. For this fashion show, please include three outfits designed by Zhu Xu. I'll agree to whatever you ask for. Three outfits, just three."

"Do you really have to do this? Don't you want him to wake up? How long can you keep putting up with him?" Qin Xiaoyu was also furious. Not only could Zhu Xu not be woken up, but Man Aihong was also pretending to be asleep.

“Xiaoyu, some things aren’t what you think. It’s not that I’ve been accommodating him all along; he’s been accommodating me more.” Man Aihong put down her chopsticks, looked up, and her eyes were already brimming with tears.

It's true that Man Aihong was a pampered and obedient daughter at home, and it's true that she had never suffered much hardship growing up. But she suffered her biggest loss when she was in college.

At that time, Zhu Xu was just a poor student with mediocre grades. He and Man Aihong, the pride of their teachers and classmates, were from two different worlds.

They only crossed paths in some classes. Man Aihong, who was very clean, didn't care for Zhu Xu, whose clothes were always dirty.

But in Zhu Xu's eyes, she was like a fairy, descending to earth at will, her every smile and gesture capable of captivating him. He was emotionally unintelligent and couldn't hide his feelings, so his gossipy classmates told Man Aihong about it, to which she simply smiled. She was still young, she had many things to do, and these things were all fleeting memories for her.

Her ideal was to be a strong woman, to build a career. Her idol was Margaret Thatcher. As for love, she didn't care.

If it weren't for what happened later, they might have truly become strangers.

She was a year ahead of Zhu Xu, so when Zhu Xu was a junior, she had already started an internship.

She was much more slender back then, still a young girl with innocent eyes, her heart full of naivety. Although she wasn't particularly beautiful, youth was enough.

She first interned at a relative's house of her teacher as a salesperson. She quickly became the top performer and was quite pleased with herself.

My cousin is a forty-year-old married man. Before he became wealthy, his wife was a shrew, and after he became wealthy, she became an ever-vigilant shrew, never giving him a chance. My cousin is also a well-known good husband who is afraid of his wife, working diligently to earn money for the family without ever showing any resistance.

Man Aihong was young and blinded by everything she saw. She thought he was an honest man and didn't put up any defenses. The plan was for the three of them to go on a business trip together to discuss a big deal, and the accountant would also be going.

There's nothing wrong with this combination, and Man Ai Hong didn't take it seriously.

When she checked into the hotel that night, she shared a private room with the accountant.

She added with a grin, "The boss really went all out to book us a private room. Shouldn't it be a large room?"

Looking back, I realize that my older sister knew about it, because she blushed when she heard that.

Man Aihong didn't think much of it. She could take a shower in a private room, and then go to sleep. The young woman was exhausted after a long day and slept soundly.

When she realized something was wrong, her mouth was tightly covered, and a man was on top of her...

She resisted, but it was no use; a few slaps left her dizzy and disoriented.

Finally, dawn broke. My cousin appeared as if nothing had happened, as if the events of the previous night had nothing to do with him.

The accountant was very open and honest, but Man Aihong was the only one hiding in the bathroom, at a loss.

She waited until they lost patience and left before daring to come out of the bathroom. She didn't dare call the police; she had never been to a police station before, and she didn't know how to explain what had happened the night before.
