Chapter 641 Dealing with Jing Tian

Her cousin paid for an extra day's room before leaving. She sat on the bed and cried for a whole day and night, deciding to pretend it never happened. Everyone has to stumble at some point in their life; she accepted it.

After returning from out of town, Man Aihong never dared to step into that company again. She didn't dare tell her family either, only saying that she was busy with work, and threw all her energy into studying and working, trying to forget that terrible night.

Just when she thought she had everything arranged perfectly, another blow struck. Fate hadn't let her off the hook; she was pregnant. Driven by her strong will to survive, she made the decision: abortion.

"You came alone?" The older nurse's eyes were full of disdain; she immediately understood her situation. Therefore, she showed her no respect. She was roughly pushed onto the operating table.

She will never forget the blood-stained bed in the private clinic, and the excruciating pain.

Just when she thought she was going to die, the surgery was over. Because she had delayed for too long, a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure was no longer sufficient, so a curettage was performed.

Her heart broke when she saw that bloody, mangled mess.

When she came off the operating table, the doctor told her to sit on a chair in the outer room for half an hour before kicking her out, her face pale.

Her legs were weak, like two noodles, unable to stand up, twisting and turning.

It was winter, the sky was gray, and the north wind was so strong that there were no pedestrians on the road.

Soon, large snowflakes began to fall. Man Aihong thought, "Let's just keep walking, keep walking, until we reach a place where no one is around, and freeze to death. Then she will be clean."

But she didn't have much strength left, and soon collapsed on the snow, unaware of anything else.

When she woke up, she saw Zhu Xu's face.

He passed by and took her to his rented apartment. Man Aihong reached under the covers and touched the wet sheets; she was still bleeding. She cried in shame.

Zhu Xu never asked her what had happened. He just kept buying her medicine—hemostatics, painkillers, and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Finally, seeing that she had calmed down and the toilet paper on the sheets had slowly dried, a bowl of steaming hot wontons was brought over.

Young people have good physical health and strong minds.

Man Aihong didn't know whether it was the bowl of wontons or Zhu Xu that brought her back to life, but anyway, she wanted to live.

Zhu Xu continued to take care of her, but it was clear he didn't have much money, and they could only afford two meals a day. At first, they had wontons, but later it became noodle soup.

In the end, Zhu Xu only brought back a bowl of noodle soup. He said he ate it outside and it would get cold on the way back, and he doesn't like eating cold food.

Man Aihong touched the noodle soup in the bowl; it was completely cold.

When Man Aihong was old enough to go out, she went to a noodle soup shop. The owner said that the skinny man always ordered takeout and never ate in the shop.

Man Aihong squatted at the shop entrance and cried for a long time. From that moment on, she made up her mind that unless this man abandoned her, she would never leave him.

“This is our story. It’s not that he’s marrying above his station; it’s that I’m marrying above my station.” After Man Aihong finished speaking, she wiped the water off her face and lowered her head to focus on the shumai in front of her.

"I understand." What else could Qin Xiaoyu say? Well, only three sets, it's not a lot.

It was all worth it for Man Ai Hong.

When Qin Xiaoyu drove Man Aihong back to her rented apartment, Zhu Xu had already returned, and the door was unlocked. He was dead drunk, and the whole place reeked of alcohol.

"Go home quickly, A Lei will worry about you." Man Aihong quickly cleaned up Zhu Xu's vomit and chased Qin Xiaoyu out.

Qin Xiaoyu's car hadn't even come to a complete stop under the porch when the door opened, and A Lei appeared in the doorway.

"Why are you so late?" A Lei snapped at her as soon as he saw her.

"I ran into Jing Tian today." Qin Xiaoyu was too exhausted to act cute anymore. Seeing her family made her feel scared, and she slumped onto the sofa.

"He didn't hurt you, did he?" A Lei's face turned pale with fright. He squatted down in front of Qin Xiaoyu and carefully examined her complexion.

"No, Sister Man saved me."

Where did you send him?

"It seems like he was taken away from a shelter. I've explained his condition to him, so he shouldn't be allowed to continue harming people," Qin Xiaoyu sighed.

"Go take a shower, you must be tired. Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" A Lei became gentle again. Seeing Qin Xiaoyu shake her head, he picked her up, took her into the bathroom, and turned to walk out.

When Qin Xiaoyu came out after taking a shower, she found that A Lei was gone. There was a note on the table that said he was going out for a while and that she should go to sleep first. There was also a cup of hot milk on the table.

It seems they've gone to deal with Jing Tian.

Qin Xiaoyu became worried; she didn't want A Lei's hands to get stained with blood because of Jing Tian.

Just as dawn was breaking, the sound of a car came from outside. Qin Xiaoyu rushed to the door, where a tired-looking A Lei appeared.

"Why won't you sleep? You're being naughty." A Lei cupped her face and kissed her deeply.

"Where did you go?" Qin Xiaoyu pulled her hand away from his.

“Some things need to be settled. I can’t let you take risks. What happened yesterday was all my fault. I didn’t think things through.” A Lei hugged Qin Xiaoyu and walked towards the stairs.

"To settle this?" Qin Xiaoyu asked worriedly.

"Yes, he has gone to another world." A Lei's voice was very soft, but Qin Xiaoyu's body still trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes.

A perfectly good person, who ruined their own life.

A Lei spent all his time looking for Jing Tian. There were so many shelters in Guangzhou, and he had to search several before he finally found out where Jing Tian was.

Because Qin Xiaoyu had already explained his condition, no one dared to touch him. They had no choice but to bring him back. While the effects of the medicine were still on, they found a single room and threw him in, not intending to care for him and let him fend for himself.

When Ale asked to visit him, the people at the shelter were quite happy.

"You need to pick someone up? Hand them over immediately." They didn't mind working overtime in the middle of the night.

"No, just a glance." A Lei calmly extended his hand, and the staff member, feeling what was in his palm, said nothing more.

He was taken to the outside of Jing Tian's room. The iron gate was tightly closed, with only a small hole in it, which was where offenders were punished.

"Should we open the door?" the staff member asked.

"No, a few words through the door will suffice," A Lei waved him away.

A Lei kicked the door, making a loud crash.

"Who's outside?" Jing Tian woke up.

"I'm Alxe, do you remember me?" Alxe tried to raise his voice, but the iron door was a bit thick, so Jing Tian's voice came out weakly.

"That little whore's lover, it's a pity we didn't kill her today."

“It was my fault today, so I’ve come to find you now,” Are said, emphasizing each word. “I’ve already made arrangements; you’ll be taken away tomorrow for medical experiments. What will happen then, I don’t know. You’d better take care of yourself.”

"No! How dare you treat me like this! I'm going to sue you! I'll sue you! Let me out!" Jing Tian panicked. He knew that A Lei was a man of his word, and the thought that he might really become a lab rat sent chills down his spine.
