"No! Do you have medical licenses? People will die!" Qin Xiaoyu knew the appendix was useless, but she couldn't let anyone just remove it in the yard, so she panicked. She struggled violently...
"Little Fish, are you feeling unwell? You keep groaning?" Ye Qiu asked with concern.
Qin Xiaoyu hurriedly looked up at the courtyard, but there were no lights. It was all a dream.
To still be dreaming at a time like this, you must have a very carefree attitude.
"It's nothing, just a nightmare." Qin Xiaoyu gave a self-deprecating laugh. "I dreamt that..."
The door was kicked open, and Bull Head and Duo Zai burst in. Judging from their expressions, it was K-Master who had returned.
Qin Xiaoyu and Ye Qiu were dragged into the main room. It wasn't that they didn't want to leave, but that they really couldn't; their legs were too weak.
The lights in the main room weren't very bright; several large light bulbs, each upright, swayed back and forth in the wind, casting dozens of eerie and terrifying shadows of people inside, creating a bizarre and terrifying scene.
The two of them were thrown onto the ground in the middle, where it was cool. Ye Qiu twisted her waist and knelt down, but unfortunately, her posture was not standard.
Qin Xiaoyu adjusted her skirt and stood up. She couldn't walk, but standing up was fine.
A man was sitting in the armchair directly in front of me, but I couldn't see his face clearly.
The man above seemed to be sizing her up as well, and slowly stood up.
"I heard you've been looking forward to seeing me. Now that I'm here, take a good look." K walked over slowly.
The lean man in his forties was not tall, had a sallow complexion, small double-lidded eyes, a hooked nose, and thin lips. He looked somewhat like Brother Tai, and they seemed like relatives.
"Master K, my brother is Qi Si. I'm close to my brother and I know the rules. You're just doing this for money. I'll pay to keep myself safe, and I'll follow your rules. I'll leave you with one ear. Please let me go back." In her haste, Qin Xiaoyu blurted out the prepared words.
"Oh, she really is a heroine." K was a little surprised. He had probably never seen such a calm woman before, since the women he had captured were usually crying and wailing.
"I know, my enemy just wanted you to teach me a lesson. I'm just a young woman new to this place and didn't know my place. I accept the lesson, but please be lenient. I, Qin Xiaoyu, will definitely repay you in the future." Qin Xiaoyu bowed deeply.
"Hey, now that you mention it, I feel like I'm being really unfair." Not just K, but all the men in the room were somewhat moved.
This little girl doesn't look very old. She speaks reasonably and doesn't cry or make a fuss. Why does she seem so pitiful?
"Master K, you're just following the rules of the martial world. I just want to get this over with as soon as possible." Qin Xiaoyu's face was pale, and she made her point clear.
"What difference does it make whether it's done sooner or later?" K asked, intrigued.
“My husband has a quick temper, and I’m afraid he’ll get into trouble.” As soon as Qin Xiaoyu mentioned A Lei, tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down her face, making one’s heart clench at the sight.
"She's still a loyal wife. She wouldn't cry if her ear was cut off, but she cried when her husband was mentioned. Come to think of it, any family with a wife like that would cherish her. Even a day as husband and wife is worth a hundred days of kindness..." K sighed.
"Please, Mr. K, make your move." Qin Xiaoyu was racing against time; the longer it dragged on, the greater the danger to A Lei.
"Alright, we've come this far, Atai, come here." K waved his hand, and Tai walked over.
"Wait a minute!" Ye Qiu suddenly called out.
"And what did you say?" K hadn't looked at Ye Qiu seriously since she entered the room, but he lowered his head only now after hearing her.
"Don't you remember me?" Ye Qiu said, lifting her head, smoothing her messy hair, and revealing her face.
"Ah Qiu?" K exclaimed in surprise, as if he had seen a ghost.
"It's me. You're still alive?" Ye Qiu slowly stood up from the ground.
"I sent people to look for you back in your hometown. Nobody knows where you are." K had regained his composure.
"I've been in Guangzhou for several years, how would I know that the famous K-Master would be you?" Ye Qiu said with a wry smile.
"Alright, this has nothing to do with you anyway, it's none of your business. I'll talk to you later." K's words gave him away, it seems it really was Gao Daxiong's doing, mainly targeting Qin Xiaoyu.
"Little Fish Girl has done me a favor, please let her go this time," Ye Qiu persisted.
"This is the rule of the underworld, you don't understand. Just stand aside and wait, she won't be made to suffer. I'll take you all back together in a bit," K said with a gloomy face, his intentions regarding his wife remaining unclear.
"Sister Ye, there's no need to plead for me. Let's hurry." Qin Xiaoyu was afraid of any unforeseen complications.
K waved to Tai, who suddenly had a gleaming knife in his hand. He walked to Qin Xiaoyu's side, pressed down on her shoulder, and then forcefully tapped her leg with his knee. Her leg went numb and she knelt on the ground.
Tai brushed a strand of her hair aside, revealing her ear...
"Wait! The Fang family is here to take our people!" Duozai ran into the hall, panting.
There was a commotion at the door. A motorcycle rushed into the yard and turned off the engine as soon as it entered. The people behind it jumped off and rushed into the hall.
In the blink of an eye, Tai Ge's knife was in his hand, and at the same time, more than a dozen guns were pointed at him.
Qin Xiaoyu closed her eyes in anguish. It was too late; A Lei had already arrived.
The motorcyclist was wearing a leather jacket and had a slender figure. She took off her helmet and hung it on the handlebars. Her long golden hair swung down and fell loose. It was Third Sister.
"Foreign girl, what are you doing?" K-Master actually knew Third Sister.
"Put all your guns away. If you have something to say, just say so. What if it goes off accidentally?" Third Sister went over and pulled the muzzle off Bull Head's gun without any politeness. With a gesture from Boss K, all the armed men stepped aside, and A Lei picked up Qin Xiaoyu.
"What are you doing here?" K asked, pointing at Qin Xiaoyu and A Lei.
“This is my younger brother and sister-in-law. You’re amazing, you’ve kidnapped someone from the Fang family,” the third sister said with a smile.
"A member of the Fang family? I don't know that. Don't try to fool me, the young mistress of the Fang family would open a small shop on Fashion Street?" A hint of panic flashed across K's face.
"I won't say any more. I'm taking him with me. Consider it a favor I owe you. If you want to come visit me, I'll give you a little treat." Third Sister squinted her eyes and gestured for A Lei to leave.
"Give them a car," K said to Tai with a dark face.
"A car?" Brother Tai was stunned.
"Go now!" K raised his hand and slapped Tai across the face, probably because he was angry that Tai had been stabbed by A Lei earlier.
A Lei drove Qin Xiaoyu and Ye Qiu back, while Third Sister rode her motorcycle back by herself.
Qin Xiaoyu still couldn't believe that she was out of danger; it all felt like a dream.
"Don't you even know how to say you're a member of the Fang family?" A Lei asked, only remembering to do so after driving onto the highway.
"How was I supposed to know the Fang family's name would be useful? Even Qi Si couldn't use it..."
