"Don't say anything more. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have let you out of my sight. From now on, it will never happen again." A Lei's jaw muscles were taut. Qin Xiaoyu gently placed her hand on his arm and could feel the strength in his entire body.
When the car arrived at the gate, A Lei didn't wait for Qin Xiaoyu to get off; he had already walked around and picked her up. Third Sister's motorcycle was in the yard; it must have arrived earlier.
Ye Qiu seemed lost in memories, sitting blankly in the back seat without getting out of the car or saying a word.
"Sister Ye." Qin Xiaoyu reminded her, and her third sister came out of the house to greet her, took Ye Qiu out of the car, and helped her into the house.
The table was a mess, with a pile of papers, drawings, and writing on them. It seemed that A Lei had made preparations to rescue her.
Just then, the phone rang. A Lei answered it, listened for a couple of minutes, and hurriedly replied, "It's alright, the person has been brought back." He then hung up the phone.
After listening to A Lei's story, Qin Xiaoyu realized how dangerous their situation was. A Lei knew they were going to a wedding banquet, but he didn't think much of it and went to buy toys for Hanhan and her younger sister, planning to give them gifts when they met in Shanghai in a few days.
He waited for Qin Xiaoyu to come home for dinner that evening, but she didn't show up. He then realized something was wrong and went upstairs to ask around. He hadn't seen Qin Xiaoyu all day. He then realized something was amiss.
Factory Director Fei and Cheng Fuyue went to search together, but of course they couldn't get any information from Huo Jinghong. It was Fatty Hong who said that they had opened the hotel first.
When A Lei ran to the hotel parking lot and saw that Qin Xiaoyu's car was still there, he knew something had happened.
Qin Xiaoyu doesn't have any enemies now, except for Gao Daxiong, with whom she has had arguments, so she can only focus on him.
When they arrived at Gao Daxiong's house, they found he wasn't there at all; he'd apparently gone out to buy goods. A Lei became increasingly suspicious and called his third sister.
His third sister analyzed the situation for him, concluding that if anything happened, it was K-Master's doing. But then, trouble struck: the phone line to K-Master's location malfunctioned, and calls couldn't be made.
That's why there's the story of the two men rushing over on their motorcycles to rescue the person. They were just taking a gamble, but they actually made it in time.
"Alxe, I just spoke with Brother Tai and got all the details sorted out. It's true that Gao Daxiong paid for Xiaoyu's scheme. They're looking for Gao Daxiong right now, but they haven't found him yet." Third Sister said, then laughed, "That little thing is clever; she even kept one ear."
"Keep your ears?"
"He said he was in a hurry to come back and see you, and was afraid that you would be in danger if you came looking for him because of your bad temper, so he had someone cut off his ear quickly." Third Sister was overjoyed, but A Lei's face was getting more and more ugly.
"Don't you value yourself at all? Don't you know you can just wait it out?"
"Okay, stop talking, I'm scared to death." Qin Xiaoyu wasn't being coquettish; the more she thought about it, the more frightened she became.
"I want to go back!" Ye Qiu, who had been sitting blankly on the sofa, suddenly stood up.
"What's wrong?" Qin Xiaoyu knew she was frightened, so she quickly stepped forward to pull her away.
"I want to go back. I want to ask him how all these years are accounted for!" Ye Qiu pushed Qin Xiaoyu away and walked out.
"How can you go so far! Go tomorrow during the day!" Qin Xiaoyu was afraid something would happen to her, so she tried her best to stop her.
"I'll go even if I have to, I'll go there and ask him! Where has he been all these years! My son is dead! I'll tell him that my son is dead!" Ye Qiu's long-suppressed wounds were suddenly reopened, and he was only now waking up from his numbness.
"Sister Ye, it's alright, it's alright, tell me slowly, I'll go with you tomorrow." Qin Xiaoyu hugged her and stepped back onto the sofa, letting her cry her heart out.
After finally calming Ye Qiu down, Qin Xiaoyu hurried upstairs. A Lei was already waiting for her.
"Remember, in the future, always mention that you are a member of the Fang family. The Fang family can still protect you for a while."
"I'm really afraid you'll grab a gun and storm the door..." Qin Xiaoyu shut her mouth. What did A Lei put under the pillow?
"I'm willing to do anything. They're lucky they didn't hurt you."

"Yes, never apart, forever." A Lei buried his head in her neck, gently stroking it and refusing to let go.

Before Ye Qiu could even come to him the next day, Master K arrived first.
A Lei watched them enter with a livid expression.
"I'm here to pick up A-Qiu. We haven't been able to find her all these years, and now I'm taking her away." As K spoke, he glanced back, and two young women dressed in flamboyant attire behind him quickly stepped forward, bowed to A-Qiu, and greeted her in unison, "Hello, elder sister."
"Little Fish, I'm leaving." Ye Qiu had made up his mind that night and actually followed them out.
"I had no intention of offending the Fang family. My visit is just to offer my condolences. Thank you for taking care of A-Qiu." Master K nodded, and the people behind him placed several gift boxes on the table and left.
"Is this the end of it?" A Lei glanced at his third sister.
"There are rules in this world. If the little guy isn't hurt, this matter is over. But if he really loses an ear, then Master K's ear has to be paid for, and the four people who kidnapped him that day also have to pay for their ears."
Qin Xiaoyu imagined a bunch of bloody ears and shuddered. No fun at all.
"Third Sister, they're going to patronize your business. You said you'd give them a discount. Do they still want to soak in the hot springs?" Qin Xiaoyu was worried, remembering her third sister's promise. Could there be something fishy about her third sister's hot springs, or that she was doing some shady business?
"Third Sister is referring to her casino," A Lei explained. Qin Xiaoyu's worldview was shaken again. Just how many businesses did this poorest third sister of the Fang family actually have?
She rested at home for a day and then returned to the shop. Her appearance caused a sensation on the fashion street, and even the bride, Qian Beibei, came to see what was going on.
"Little Fish, I never would have guessed you had such a background. You're the young mistress of the Fang family, how come you're running such a small business?" Qian Beibei's exaggerated manner made people very uncomfortable.
"I like starting my own business." Qin Xiaoyu didn't want to talk to her.
"What's going on with Ye Qiu? I heard that K Master picked up his wife. That's amazing."
"I don't know, ask her when she gets back."
"She'll come back? With Master K around, that's a golden touch. Why would she need to work so hard to open the shop..." Qian Beibei shut her mouth, and Ye Qiu walked in from outside.
"Sister Ye." Qin Xiaoyu went to greet her, and the two hugged each other. Now they were truly sworn brothers.
