Chapter 829 Zuo Xiurong

Zuo Xiurong was also greatly affected by Bai Weiwei's situation. She had always been disliked by her father, and although her mother brought her out, it would be a lie to say she didn't resent her.

Although Zuo Xiangyang was a terrible person, he still had a good job and a relatively comfortable life. Now he has fallen from grace, all because of his daughter.

Whether out of revenge or because she had no feelings for Zuo Xiangyang to begin with, Zuo Xiurong's mother remarried rather quickly, and Zuo Xiurong was sent to a dormitory without even a home.

After graduating, she worked as an apprentice in a factory. She wasn't considered pretty, had no family to rely on, and no dowry, so she became an old maid.

Her senior brother was very slovenly, his family was in very poor condition, and he had a paralyzed mother. He hadn't found a wife even when he was over thirty.

Their master intervened and mediated, and the two of them settled for each other. Life didn't get better, but it gradually washed away those unbearable memories.

When Qin Xiaoyu and A Lei found her, they immediately recognized Zuo Xiangyang's features on her face. It was definitely his.

Zuo Xiurong has two children, one is a four or five-year-old girl with pigtails, chubby and wearing an old dress, jumping around on the kang (a heated brick bed).

The youngest child, just over a year old, was being fed porridge in their arms. Upon hearing their purpose, he didn't even look up and said, "I don't know anything."

"Your child is so cute." Qin Xiaoyu had been holding back all along, but when she suddenly saw a child about the same age as Jiajia, her emotions immediately broke down, and tears streamed down her face.

A Lei wanted to comfort her, but he couldn't hold back his own tears either. The 1.9-meter-tall man was crying like a baby.

Zuo Xiurong initially didn't want to pay attention to them and just left them out in the sun, but she couldn't stand it anymore and left.

But the two women started crying as soon as they entered the room and said just one sentence. She was a mother herself, and she understood how it felt, so she couldn't bear it anymore.

"Stop crying, go find Sister Liu. I bet she's taking care of Bai Weiwei's baby."

"Really?" Qin Xiaoyu asked in surprise.

"What do you mean by 'real' or 'fake'? I'm just guessing. My dad is a suspicious man; he always suspected that the child wasn't his. But blood ties are something you can't change. In the end, he found the evidence; the child was definitely his. It's just that the circumstances forced him to keep his word."

"Was that child taken away by him?" Qin Xiaoyu sensed a glimmer of hope.

"Probably, but I don't know where he hid it. Maybe he sent it away."

The last sentence chilled Qin Xiaoyu to the bone. If they really sent them away, where would she find them?

"If we really send them away, where can we send them?" Qin Xiaoyu asked timidly.

"I don't know about that. Our hometown is in Shandong, and we seem to have some relatives there. But with my dad's sour face, he doesn't get along with anyone, so it's hard to say. But these days, money talks, and who won't support you if you spend money?" Zuo Xiurong's words left them speechless, and they couldn't get any more information from her. They walked out dejectedly.

It was already dark. The road from Zuo Xiurong's house was muddy and difficult to walk on. The two of them took turns supporting each other, their hands tightly clasped together.

"Thank you for not blaming me at all," Qin Xiaoyu said softly.

In many families where children have gone missing, the person who took care of the child is made the guilty party.

A Lei has cared for Xiao Jiajia even more than Qin Xiaoyu, treating her like a precious treasure, yet he hasn't uttered a single complaint.

"Don't overthink it. We'll look for the child together, and we'll definitely find him. It's not your fault."

There were no more tears in Qin Xiaoyu's eyes. For the person she loved, she had to stay absolutely clear-headed and fight to the end.

Family members have returned one after another, bringing news, but there is still no trace of them.

Qi Si had just arrived from the provincial capital and, upon hearing this, immediately went to find his old brothers.

"Brother, don't go. The storm has just passed. Don't drag yourself into this." Qin Xiaoyu was so frightened that she quickly stopped him.

"Let go of me. What's more important than my nephew?" Qi Si pushed her away and strode out.

"Don't go. We'll figure something out. We can't let you risk your life again. Think of Xiao Si's wife and Xiao Xin." A Lei held the car door shut, refusing to let him open it.

"Fine, I'll walk if you won't give me a car. All of you, get out of my way!" Qi Si was acting recklessly, and no one could do anything about it.

"Brother, listen to me, don't go, wait a little longer, wait a little longer!" Qin Xiaoyu dragged him down with a precious pendant.

"That's bullshit! What are you waiting for? You have to act quickly!" Qi Si had experience in dealing with these kinds of things, having been through the underworld.

No one could stop him. As they approached the gate, A Lei, unwilling to give up, continued to struggle with him all the way.

"Mom, why aren't you saying anything!" Qin Xiaoyu turned around and saw Zhou Xing's mother silently shedding tears, and stamped her foot.

"What did I say? He's right. Don't worry about these things now. The child is so young, we can't let anything happen to him." Zhou Xing's mother spoke decisively. Qin Xiaoyu knew this all too well, but she felt powerless, and this feeling was truly unbearable.

There was a smell of paper ash in the air. She looked towards Building No. 2 and saw a fire burning at the entrance. Granny Wang was singing and dancing, trying to summon the spirits.

Qin Xiaoyu slowly walked over. In the firelight, Granny Wang looked exceptionally young. Her forehead was covered in sweat, her eyes were tightly closed, and her brows were furrowed.

"Godmother, don't catch a cold." Qin Xiaoyu cried, her nose twitching, as if she were the patient.

"Don't bother me." Those were just three words from Aunt Wang, and Qin Xiaoyu obediently retreated.

A Lei came back alone. Qi Si went out, got into a taxi, and left. They couldn't stop him.

"Even if you find Bai Weiwei's child, she won't know. How will she contact you?" My cousin-in-law suddenly thought of an important question.

As if knowing what she was saying, the phone suddenly rang, and Qin Xiaoyu rushed over to pick up the receiver.

"Has my son been found?" Bai Weiwei's voice came through, she seemed to be lowering her voice.

"Not yet, but we have a clue. He must be alive." Qin Xiaoyu pricked up her ears, hoping to hear even a little bit of a child crying from Bai Weiwei's side, just to let her know that Xiao Jiajia was alright.

"Then go ahead and search diligently," Bai Weiwei said coldly.

"Is my child alright? Let me hear his voice, just hear it! Otherwise, how can I trust you!" Qin Xiaoyu said anxiously.

"She's doing great. This child is so easy to manage, she doesn't cry or fuss, much easier than you. Believe it or not, you don't need to listen."

“I’m telling you, take good care of my son, and I’ll return your son to you. If anything happens to my son, I’ll make sure you and your son are executed. I mean what I say, so don’t push me!” A Lei suddenly snatched the phone and said, enunciating each word clearly.

Qin Xiaoyu had never seen him so ruthless before. Everyone has a bottom line, and his bottom line was his wife and children. Bai Weiwei had gotten herself into trouble.

The call ended.
