"Can I eat it?" Fu Di asked happily.
"Okay." The girl didn't want to waste any more words, so she handed him the bowl and took out a cigarette to light.
Fu Di is a germaphobe, and he especially dislikes girls who smoke and drink. He would stay far away from them, let alone talk to them. But today, for a bowl of noodles, he abandoned all his principles.
I swallowed this bowl of noodles with tears in my eyes, not because I was moved. I have to say, it was awful!
His expression betrayed his true feelings; no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't put on a sweet act.
"Is it hard to eat?" the girl asked seriously, turning her head.
"No." Fu Di could only lie and say, as the old Chinese saying goes, "He who eats another's food is bound to do so," "It's very delicious."
"At least you have a conscience. I cooked him noodles, and he said they tasted like S!" The girl threw her cigarette butt on the ground and stubbed it out.
Fu Di shook his head, suppressing his nausea; he felt like vomiting.
"Little lamb, you're a good person." The girl stood up, patted Fu Di's head, and walked away.
From that day on, the girl got a new boyfriend, but the way she called Fu Di never changed: she called him "Little Sheep." He was someone she could bully at will.
Fu Di protested many times, but in the end he could only acquiesce, as he couldn't reason with this unreasonable girl.
But no matter how unreasonable she was, she would always leave some room for Fu Di's bottom line; she genuinely couldn't bear to lose this friend. Her decisiveness towards every other man didn't work with Fu Di; she was afraid that if he turned away, he would never come back.
"Now tell me the truth, is the noodles I cooked still really bad?" the baby asked loudly, raising his head.
"It tastes awful." Fu Di didn't give the baby any face at all, and the baby gritted his teeth.
"It's okay, your sister-in-law's cooking is even worse," A Lei added promptly.
Qin Xiaoyu drew her forty-meter-long sword; it was time to straighten out the family's discipline. The baby decided to learn from his sister-in-law and cultivate some manners as well.
The battlefield was once out of control.
Mrs. Fang watched them laughing and joking, a smile appearing in her eyes. She gave Xiaoyu's mother a wink, and the two of them headed towards the kitchen.
The two young people were impulsive and made the decision on their own, but their parents were sensible and knew that the matter couldn't be left unresolved.
"My baby had a tough childhood. Her parents were very self-centered and no one cared for her. But she's not a bad person, just a bit willful..."
"Don't worry, I will treat her like my own daughter," Little Fish's mother said with a smile.
If anyone else had said this, Mrs. Fang would have scoffed at it, but Xiaoyu's mother said she believed it.
Xiaoyu's mother and Zhou Xing's mother were the only two women in Mrs. Fang's life she could find fault with. These two women were gentle and kind, with excellent personalities and sound values. If she had to nitpick, it would be that they were a little too kind.
The baby is indeed wealthy after marrying into the Fu family, which is why she wanted to propose marriage in the first place.
Originally, we only wanted to change Qin Xiaoyu's genes, but now even the family tradition has changed. It's a pleasant surprise.
"The baby has a lot of assets under his name, let them manage them as they see fit. I will also give him a dowry."
"My children's assets will be divided equally among them, no more, no less." Xiaoyu's mother had included Qin Xiaoyu in the division.
Mrs. Fang knew the Fu family's wealth; Xiao Yu's fortune was growing very quickly.
“Sure, let them handle it themselves. We’ll back them up.” The two exchanged a smile, enjoying their collaboration.
After discussing it, the family decided to go back to their hometown. Qin Xiaoyu felt she was in good condition and went with A Lei.
With Deng Jianyan's assurance, A Lei didn't dare to object too much, especially since this was a major event for Qin Xiaoyu's family. With Xiaoyu's mother always there, he felt somewhat reassured.
"I always feel stifled if I don't hold a banquet to announce our family's great news to the world." Fu Yongnian said, hands on his hips and head held high, exuding an air of arrogance.
"Who are you going to tell? This is our own family matter. Who can be happy for you? We're just happy about it ourselves." Little Fish's mother's mouth was constantly stretched, sometimes wiping away tears, sometimes unable to stop laughing.
Aunt Fu is still in relatively good health, but her knees are bad, making it a little difficult for her to walk. At first, she only said that Qin Xiaoyu wanted to visit her.
The old lady was kind-hearted and got along well with Xiaoyu's mother. After hearing Xiaoyu's mother talk about Qin Xiaoyu, she couldn't help but sigh and felt sorry for this granddaughter who was not related to her by blood.
When she brought it to him, she took his hand and looked at him carefully. She knew he was an honest and good child, and she liked him very much.
“Child, come and stay with me more often in the future.” As she spoke, Aunt Fu took out a gift, a heavy mahogany box. “Inside are jewelry pieces. These are what we give to our daughters when they get married. Your sister’s is exactly the same as yours. We missed giving you one when you got married, so we’ll make it up to you.”
"Thank you, Grandma." Qin Xiaoyu bowed her head and accepted the gift; its weight represented her heartfelt sentiment.
"Mom, there's more good news. Fu Di brought his wife back." Fu Yongnian couldn't contain himself any longer and pulled the baby to the front.
Normally, the baby wears whatever he wants, but this time, to cater to the old lady's aesthetic sense, he dressed much more conservatively.
She had gotten quite tanned along with Fu Di, and after looking at her for a while, the old lady couldn't help but mutter, "Why does she look like a Black person?"
Everyone was trying to suppress their laughter.
"Grandma, I'm not dark-skinned. You'll see when I give you a chubby great-grandson." The baby spoke in a carefree manner, knowing that Aunt Fu was good to Fu Di and wanted to make her happy, so she just blurted out whatever came to mind.
"Great-grandson?" Upon hearing this, Aunt Fu's eyes lit up. She quickly looked at Xiaoyu's mother and saw her nodding with tears in her eyes. She was so happy that her hands trembled.
Qin Xiaoyu sighed inwardly. The Chinese saying that having no offspring is a great sin is really a terrible thing.
She genuinely admired Bao Bao; she was willing to give up everything for love, even her pride. This girl was sure to find happiness.
Such a wild and unruly person, upon deciding to get married, simply put on a light makeup and changed her entire personality.
The fact that this bet is placed on the Fu family shows their keen eye for talent, even more so than when selecting top-performing stocks.
The Fu family still held a banquet, but their daughter and daughter-in-law appeared together, and it wasn't called a banquet, so Bao Bao didn't have any complaints.
This time, Fu Yongnian invited only his closest old friends, from all over the country, and some even flew in from abroad. Qin Xiaoyu glanced at his social circle; this was considered top-tier in China.
Although the baby is a member of the Fang family, she hasn't achieved much personally. It's just as Xiaoyu's mother said: who cares if your family gets married or not? The people who came didn't care about her at all.
Qin Xiaoyu, on the other hand, was more famous and received more attention. Fu Yongnian was very proud to introduce her to everyone, paving the way for her success. This made it Qin Xiaoyu's show. Fortunately, the baby didn't mind or get jealous.
Xiaoyu's mother was worried that the two girls would get tired, so she would find a moment to pick them up and take them straight home, refusing to leave them outside for even a short while.
"Sister, you don't need to worry about things abroad, I know what I'm doing." Fu Di had already decided to take Fang Baobao back to MG directly. Although Xiao Yu's mother was worried, as an open-minded mother-in-law, she couldn't stop her and could only repeatedly give her instructions.
"I'll come and stay with you for two months in a few days," Xiaoyu's mother whispered in Qin Xiaoyu's ear.
"Really? Mom, you have to keep your word." Qin Xiaoyu nestled in her mother's arms, feeling incredibly happy.
