Commander Zhou was taken aback by his actions, and he immediately pulled out four more small red flags. Hanhan inserted them back without hesitation, and they were all in the correct positions, not one was wrong.
Commander Zhou was impressed by the little boy in front of him. This speed and memory were beyond the reach of ordinary people. Even his own combat staff had to think for a moment when they had to restore the sand table after it had been scrambled.
He decided to go all out and pulled out about ten red flags. Hanhan, stubborn as ever, put them back in one by one, and still got them right.
"Godmother! A grandpa is moving the sand table!" Hanhan panicked and shouted for help.
"Who is it?" Zhou Yue had just carried her little sister out when she heard someone calling from upstairs. She quickly put her little sister on the sofa and ran upstairs.
"Dad? Why are you back?" Zhou Yue was a little dumbfounded.
"My home, why can't I come back?" Commander Zhou retorted directly.
"Hanhan, let's go downstairs, quick!" Zhou Yue hurriedly pulled Hanhan over.
"I told you not to go into this room!" Commander Zhou said sternly.
"It's okay for Hanhan to come in; she definitely won't move around," Zhou Yue explained.
"You really trust him that much?"
"Yes! This child is definitely right." Zhou Yue bit her lip and gave Hanhan her assurance.
"Oh my, where did this baby come from? So cute!" Zhou Xing's mother walked in carrying her little sister, who was wrapped up like a dumpling. She had just changed out of her pajamas and saw a chubby baby on the sofa, completely wrapped in a fluffy blanket, with only a pair of big eyes showing, darting around excitedly. She quickly picked her up.
Hearing the arguing upstairs, he knew it was Zhou Yue who had caused the trouble, so he carried his little sister upstairs.
"This child looks just like Zhou Xing. Look, doesn't she look like him?" Zhou Xing's mother handed the little girl to Commander Zhou for a look.
Seeing her hug her little sister, Zhou Yue was a little scared. The little sister was a withdrawn child who didn't like being kissed or hugged. She quickly reached out to take her, but the little sister turned her head and buried her face in Zhou Xing's mother's neck, melting Zhou Xing's mother's heart.
"Where did these two children come from?" Commander Zhou was also concerned about this matter.
“These are my godson and godson, aren’t they especially adorable?” Zhou Yue said proudly.
"Where did you find her? She's really adorable, especially this little girl, I just love her." Zhou Xing's mother hugged her little sister tightly, and Zhou Yue thought to herself, "How could I not love her? That face is exactly the same as Zhou Xing's when he was a child."
"This is Qin Xiaoyu's child. She's too busy, so I brought him back to give him a bath."
"Is that Qin Xiaoyu who runs the hairdressing school?" Zhou Xing's mother looked at Hanhan and understood; they were cut from the same cloth.
"Yes, she has a knack for raising children, and these two kids are really great. Come on, Hanhan, let's go downstairs first."
"You can all go now, but he'll stay with me for a while," Commander Zhou suddenly said.
"Spend some time with you?" Zhou Xing's mother and Zhou Yue both thought they had misheard.
"Okay, you can go now." Commander Zhou took Hanhan from Zhou Yue's hand. Hanhan showed no fear and obediently followed him to the sand table.
"Do you know how to read a sand table?" Commander Zhou bent down and asked softly.
"I don't know, Grandpa, teach me," Hanhan answered in a clear voice.
“Now your father has finally found a kindred spirit. When Zhou Xing was little, no matter how your father tried to guide him, he wouldn’t like it,” Zhou Xing’s mother said softly to Zhou Yue as she walked ahead carrying her little sister.
"I really didn't expect that. I thought my dad would get angry." Zhou Yue shook her head.
"Come and dress the child, don't let her get cold." Zhou Xing's mother walked to the sofa, and Zhou Yue brought over her younger sister's clothes.
"What is this? It's so old, how can you wear it? Go buy a few sets." As soon as Zhou Xing's mother saw her younger sister's clothes, she picked them up a few times and threw them aside.
"Mom, this is my goddaughter. It's like you're trying to take her away."
“Qin Xiaoyu is a widow, and it’s not easy for her to raise a child alone. Since you’ve taken her in as your goddaughter, you should naturally help out.”
Zhou Yue originally thought she would be scolded if Zhou Xing's mother found out about this, but she didn't expect this kind of talk. She was so happy that she ran out to buy new clothes.
She went around and bought several sets of clothes for the brother and sister. She saw Zhou Xing's mother and younger sister playing on the big bed. The big room was sunny, and the younger sister was wearing Zhou Xing's mother's short-sleeved pajamas. She was jumping around happily on the spring mattress, treating it like a trampoline.
"Don't jump, Grandma will be angry!" Zhou Yue stepped forward and hugged her little sister.
"Why are you angry? Let her jump, look how happy she is." Zhou Xing's mother even scolded her for meddling.
What puzzled her even more was that the old man and the child upstairs were playing something, and bursts of laughter would occasionally drift out. It wasn't until dinner time that she called them down. Commander Zhou took Hanhan's little hand and led her into the dining room.
"Sit next to Grandpa." Commander Zhou noticed the chair was a bit high, so he lifted Hanhan up onto it.
"Thank you, Grandpa." Hanhan smiled, her two dimples flashing.
"Let me tell you, this kid is a military genius, and his memory is incredible. I just tested him for a long time, he's so smart, how did they educate him?" Commander Zhou praised him highly.
Zhou Xing's mother ordered a table full of dishes to be prepared. Hanhan and her younger sister had never seen such a feast before. The younger sister's mouth watered, but she didn't touch it. It wasn't until Commander Zhou picked up his chopsticks that Hanhan picked up her spoon and scooped a shrimp for her younger sister.
The Zhou family had a habit of not talking while eating, and they ate very quietly, watching Hanhan take good care of her younger sister with deep emotion.
"I'm done eating, thank you Grandpa and Grandma," Hanhan said crisply after Commander Zhou put down his chopsticks.
"Good boy/girl." Zhou Xing's mother couldn't help but praise him.
"Not bad, right?" Commander Zhou smiled smugly, as if they had already reorganized the division, with each of the two children now in one, making it a battleground once again.
"I really can't believe that Qin Xiaoyu could raise a child like this. It's a miracle. Last time Commander Wang came over with his grandson, you saw it, right? Tsk tsk..." Zhou Xing's mother was heartbroken and clicked her tongue when she thought about how the naughty child had made a mess of the house last time.
"Yeah, if these two kids weren't so well-behaved, would I be their godmother?" Zhou Yue hugged her younger sister, but Zhou Xing's mother pulled her back into her arms.
"If you want to be a mother, go give birth yourself."
"Hey, Mom, that's not fair! This is what I brought back, Dad?" Zhou Yue watched as Commander Zhou pulled Hanhan's little hand upstairs again.
"How old is this child? Why isn't she saying anything?" Zhou Xing's mother asked, concerned about her younger sister.
"My child is almost three years old, and I'm worried. I took him to the hospital, but they couldn't find anything wrong with him, and I don't know what to do."
"Looking at her, her IQ is definitely fine, she's very smart, and her hearing is fine too. What's going on?" Zhou Xing's mother called out to her little sister. The little sister immediately raised her head, her bright eyes staring at her. Zhou Xing's mother couldn't help but grin and opened her arms. The little sister rushed into her arms.
Qin Xiaoyu had been busy all day, and then treated reporters and TV station staff to dinner. By the time they all left, it was past eight o'clock. She rubbed her forehead and suddenly felt that it was too quiet around her; something was missing—her child!
