Chapter 85 Godson

"Sister-in-law! Ever since I found out who you are, I've never treated you as a sister-in-law, but as an older sister. How could you be so heartless?" Tang Wenwen shouted, stamping her feet.

"No need, just think of me as your former sister-in-law. I can't afford a sister like that."

"Okay, I'm leaving now. I won't come back again, so as not to embarrass you!" Tang Wenwen grabbed Jing Tian and rushed out, almost knocking over Commander Wang at the door.

"Aunt Wang!" Qin Xiaoyu panicked, unsure of how much she had heard.

"Isn't that Jing Tian? Oh, and that looks like your sister-in-law." Commander Wang had just come up and hadn't heard anything, but he just kept muttering to himself as he looked at the two people's backs.

"It's them." Qin Xiaoyu gave a wry smile.

“But I heard that Jingtian is getting married. Your sister-in-law won’t marry him…” Commander Wang understood everything from Qin Xiaoyu’s eyes and hurriedly shook his head, saying, “You should tell your sister-in-law not to be foolish. Who are the Bai family? If this gets out, she will be dead without a burial place.”

Qin Xiaoyu really didn't expect that Tang Wenwen's rival had such a powerful background. Who was Commander Wang? For her to say such a thing, it must be true.

"Aunt Wang, there's nothing I can do about this. I've tried to persuade her, I've even scolded her, but she's determined to do what she wants. Let her be," Qin Xiaoyu sighed.

“That’s true. If you don’t handle these things properly, you’ll get yourself into trouble. Just pretend you don’t know anything.” Commander Wang sat down on the sofa, then immediately jumped up, rushed to his desk, and pulled out a handful of candies from his bag. “These are for Hanhan and Xiaomei. Keep them safe. Don’t eat too many of these candies.”

"Aunt Wang, you worry about me like a real grandmother," Qin Xiaoyu said coquettishly.

"Maybe it's because I'm getting old, but I just really like children," Commander Wang remarked.

"Then you should hurry up and have a grandson too."

"I have to think of something too. My son is good in every other way, more than ten times better than Jing Tian. But he just won't date. When I ask, he says he has someone he likes. But when I ask who it is, he won't say. What can I do?"

Hearing what Commander Wang said, Qin Xiaoyu felt a pang of guilt, knowing that Wang Lei hadn't yet gotten past her.

Jing Tian and Tang Wenwen's situation is quite bad right now, and Wang Lei probably won't be able to use her to get close to Qin Xiaoyu anymore, so they haven't seen each other for a while. I didn't expect that he still can't let go of her.

"Aunt Wang, have your son come over for a haircut sometime, I'd like to have a talk with him."

What do you want to talk about?

“You don’t understand the thoughts of young people nowadays. I have a lot of contact with them, so maybe I can give them some guidance.”

"You know what, this method actually works. Your son is the most persuasive and reliable. Okay, let him come! It's strange, he got a great haircut from you last time, so why hasn't he come back since?"

"And you know what? Last time Zhou Xing came, he insisted on leaving ten yuan, which made everyone feel embarrassed. I guess Wang Lei was afraid of being taken advantage of," Qin Xiaoyu quickly made an excuse.

"Yes, my son Xiaolei has never liked to take advantage of others since he was a child. It's okay, I'll talk to him and have him come over."

"Come downstairs, I'll give you a big curl." Qin Xiaoyu had just gotten a steam styling machine. Although the curl didn't last long, it didn't damage her hair, making it perfect for people like Commander Wang.

"I forgot about the important matter!" Commander Wang clapped his hands and exclaimed, "I came to ask you if you want to do an interview. Yesterday, reporter Liu from the newspaper came to my place for an interview, and I mentioned your hairdressing school. She was interested."

"Great! Who wouldn't want free advertising? Even better if it gets a TV interview!"

Qin Xiaoyu knew the power of newspapers these days. Without the internet and smartphones, newspapers were people's only window to the outside world, and almost everyone had a copy. If her school could get published, its awareness would increase significantly.

"Okay, I'm glad you agree. I'll contact the TV station later." Commander Wang was quite capable, and Qin Xiaoyu naturally trusted her.

Soon, Commander Wang set the date for the interview, and Qin Xiaoyu organized the trainees to do a thorough cleaning, with everyone busy upstairs and downstairs.

Zhou Yue came over to watch the commotion. As a young lady from a wealthy family, she couldn't help. Seeing Hanhan and her younger sister running around and tripping over each other, she told Qin Xiaoyu that she would take them home.

"No, your dad looks so fierce, Hanhan and the others will be scared." Qin Xiaoyu quickly shook her head.

“My dad and mom went out together today and said they won’t be back until tomorrow morning, it’s fine.” Zhou Yue called the two children over and helped them put on their coats.

"Be good when you go to your godmother's house, and don't touch anything." Qin Xiaoyu reminded her again, still worried.

“My kids are none of your business.” Zhou Yue was still not happy with what she heard, and picked up her younger sister. “I noticed you haven’t given them a bath lately. I’ll give them a good bath when I get back.”

"Okay, you can wash the little sister, Hanhan can wash herself." It's the lean season now, cold outside and cold inside, Qin Xiaoyu is afraid the children will get cold, so she doesn't dare to bathe them.

"No problem, let's go!"

Zhou Yue brought Hanhan and her younger sister home. As soon as they entered, the two children couldn't take their eyes off each other. But after hearing Qin Xiaoyu's words, they both stood with their hands behind their backs and solemnly inspected the place. No one was willing to reach out and touch them.

"Come on, take a bath, get all clean. Your godmother will have someone make you something delicious." Zhou Yue led the two children into the bathroom.

Hanhan was indeed independent; she washed herself before I even had to do it.

The younger sister wasn't very cooperative; she was only interested in playing in the water. The bathroom was warm, and Zhou Yue wasn't worried about her catching a cold, so she let her have her way and told Hanhan to put on her clothes and go out to play first.

Zhou Yue then realized that there weren't many toys suitable for children to play with at home. The television was also just for show, only having programs available in the evening. A thought struck her, and she took Hanhan upstairs.

Zhou Yue was in the bathroom, the water was running, but she didn't hear anyone come in. Commander Zhou and Zhou Xing's mother had gone home early.

Their car broke down on the way, and Commander Zhou, in a fit of anger, returned home and refused to go anywhere else. Zhou Xing's mother didn't dare to argue with him and could only obediently follow him.

Commander Zhou went up to the second floor and found that the door to the training room was ajar. Normally, this door would not be opened, and even the people who cleaned the room were not allowed to enter. The sand table inside was his treasure, and no one was allowed to touch it.

He pushed open the door, and there stood a little boy, slightly taller than the table, with his hands behind his back, staring intently at the small red flag on the sand table, lost in thought.

Whose child is this? Commander Zhou was stunned for a moment. He had never seen him before, but there was a sense of familiarity in his eyes and brows, a feeling of warmth and closeness.

"Ahem!" Commander Zhou coughed. Hanhan turned around in response, saw a stranger, and greeted him generously, "Hello, Grandpa."

"Okay, sure." Since Hanhan was so polite, Commander Zhou couldn't very well not reply.

"Grandpa, you can't touch this, you can only look at it." Hanhan reminded him worriedly, which almost made Commander Zhou laugh in exasperation. He hadn't even investigated the unauthorized intrusion, and now he was being told not to touch it.

"Who said we can't move it?" Commander Zhou said defiantly, pulling out a red flag and throwing it aside.

Hanhan was so frightened that her eyes widened and her mouth gaped open. With lightning speed, she picked up the red flag and planted it back.
