The three of them worked together, which greatly improved their efficiency. They had all the spicy strips ready by 10 a.m.
Jiang Xiaoli carried several large buckets, totaling 200 jin (100 catties), onto the tricycle and directed Zong Jiayu to go out.
When promoting their products, the two worked together seamlessly, each taking turns speaking in harmony.
With the increased popularity of spicy strips, several small shops immediately placed orders after Jiang Xiaoli mentioned that she was there to promote them.
It went incredibly smoothly!
The family only received 10 jin of the 200 jin spicy strips. Jiang Xiaoli left them her address and offered a discount for door-to-door pickup.
At 11 o'clock, the two squatted in front of a small shop, drinking Bingfeng soda that the owner gave them.
Zong Jia looked at the girl slurping soda from a glass bottle, and felt a ticklish sensation in his heart, as if a kitten's paw had scratched at it.
Jiang Xiaoli gulped down the entire bottle of soda, then burped, "It's so hot! Drinking an ice-cold soda feels so refreshing!"
Zong Jia took the empty bottle from her and returned it to the shop owner. Leaning against the tricycle, she said, "Let's talk about the steamed bun shop."
"Okay!" Jiang Xiaoli planned to get up and sit on the tricycle to chat with him.
Unexpectedly, her legs went numb from squatting, and she staggered and almost fell to the ground.
She closed her eyes, bracing herself for a fall, when a long, strong arm caught her.
Jiang Xiaoli opened her eyes and found herself with her arms wrapped around his waist.
Just as she was marveling at how strong her waist was, a voice came from above, "Little Pear, are you alright?"
She realized what was happening, quickly let go of her arm, and took two steps back. "Sorry, my leg is numb."
Zong Jiayu could still smell the scent of her shampoo in the air. He blushed slightly and said, "Yeah, it's nothing."
Jiang Xiaoli noticed that his ears had turned red and couldn't help but sigh, "Boys are so innocent at this age! Haha!"
She sat down beside the tricycle and quickly tried to start a conversation, "Where do you think would be a good place to open a steamed bun shop?"
“We should definitely choose a place with high foot traffic, near residential areas, schools, and workplaces. What do you think?” Zong Jiayu said, giving the answer he had already thought of on the way.
"Yes, that's right. How about we ride around and look around when we have nothing else to do? Let's check it out!" Jiang Xiaoli suggested, turning her body slightly and glancing at the clock on the wall of the convenience store.
Zong Jia sat directly on the tricycle seat and said, "Come on, get in."
The two walked and looked around, commenting as they went.
"This won't work, there aren't enough people here."
"This won't work; the store is too big, we don't need it."
"Yes, this won't work either..."
Zong Jia rode his bike around the neighborhood with Jiang Xiaoli. "I know a place, it's a bit far from here, want to go check it out?"
Jiang Xiaoli thought for a moment, "Then let's go home, leave the tricycle there, and take the bus. I have something to do this afternoon."
"OK."
The two drove the tricycle home, and Jiang Xiaoli packed a few books into her schoolbag.
Li Guizhi packed a small bag of steamed buns for the two of them, reminding them not to forget to eat, before letting them leave.
Once outside, Zong Jiayu, carrying a small bag, naturally wanted to take the schoolbag from her and carry it for her.
Jiang Xiaoli was taken aback for a moment, then slapped his hand away, "No need! I'm not that delicate!"
Zong Jiayu said the place was near his school, No. 1 Middle School, about a 20-minute bus ride from Jiang Xiaoli's house.
The house had its street-facing wall knocked down, creating a window.
Jiang Xiaoli could tell from the furnishings that there must have been a small shop here before.
"This location is great, so why did the convenience store close down?"
Zong Jia explained with a smile, "It didn't go out of business. This used to be a small shop run by a few of us brothers. Later, we started selling popsicles and spicy strips, and we couldn't keep up with this place, so we just cleared out the stock and closed it down here. How about this room?"
"Great! Excellent! There's no need to provide seats for steamed buns anyway. This window is perfect for hanging price tags and selling steamed buns, and people won't crowd into the room." Jiang Xiaoli looked around and nodded in satisfaction.
"Shall we settle on this place? See if you need anything, and I'll get it ready."
Jiang Xiaoli touched her nose. This professional question should be asked of her mother, Ms. Li Guizhi!
"I'll have to ask my mom when I get back. By the way, is the rent expensive here?"
Zong Jia shook his head, "It's not expensive. This house was left to me by my grandfather."
“Since we’re cooperating, we should keep things clear even between brothers. You won’t let me suffer a loss, and I won’t let you suffer a loss either. Let’s ask about the rent for the surrounding houses and include the rent for this house in our investment,” Jiang Xiaoli said seriously.
Seeing her serious expression as she discussed cooperation with him, Zong Jiayu smiled and nodded, "Okay."
Having solved the major issue of finding a store location, Jiang Xiaoli really wanted to give herself a thumbs up for her efficiency.
She untied the bag of steamed buns, placed a clean handkerchief under it, and handed one to Zong Jiayu. "Here, let's make some steamed buns in our shop!"
Zong Jia took the steamed bun and asked curiously, "Why are you so enthusiastic about doing business?"
Jiang Xiaoli looked at him as if he were an idiot. "Of course it's to make money. Do you think it's because you want to serve difficult clients?"
"Hahaha." Zong Jia burst out laughing. "Your spicy snack business is going so smoothly, you must not have encountered any difficult people, right?"
Jiang Xiaoli thought about it and thought, "Hey, it really is true."
She only encountered difficult and demanding clients in her past lives.
She took a bite of the steamed bun and said, "Even if I've never eaten pork, I've at least seen a pig run."
Indeed, Zong Jia didn't dwell on the issue with her any further.
Jiang Xiaoli's eyes darted around. She was also very curious. This person's clothes and accessories clearly indicated that he was very wealthy. Logically, he shouldn't be in such a hurry to make money.
