Chapter 504 Graduation Thesis Supervisor

Jiang Xiaoli went back to school on Wednesday to cancel her vacation.

Fang Yong looked at her and smiled, saying, "President Jiang has finally decided to come back to teach?"

"Teacher Fang, please don't make fun of me. I promise you, I will definitely not ask for leave before the final exam."

Fang Yong nodded. "You said it yourself."

"Yes, I said it!" She nodded firmly.

"Alright." Fang Yong took out a list from his desk drawer. "This is the list of thesis advisors for this year's graduating seniors. Go back and think carefully about your thesis topic, choose one as soon as possible and hand it in to me. Although the deadline is the end of the month, some professors may not be able to supervise too many students if they select too many."

Jiang Xiaoli glanced at the list and saw Tan Xuanyi's name at the very end.

She smiled and said, "Teacher Fang, I've made my choice."

Fang Yong frowned. "Your thesis is related to your graduation grade, so you must be careful!"

She pointed to Tan Xuanyi's name, "I choose Professor Tan."

“Professor Tan…” Fang Yong pondered for a moment, “Professor Tan really likes you, but I need to make it clear to you in advance that Professor Tan has very high requirements for the level and professionalism of students’ papers. If you are sure, I will put your name on the list.”

Jiang Xiaoli smiled and nodded, "Okay, you can choose. I'll choose Professor Tan."

After leaving the counselor's office, she simply went to Professor Tan's house for a free meal.

Ran Hui was cooking when Tan Xuanyi opened the door. "Oh, Miss Ran is back in the country!"

Jiang Xiaoli chuckled. Ever since he learned about her relationship with the Jiang family, he stopped calling her "Little Jiang" or "President Jiang" and started calling her "Miss Jiang."

"Professor Tan, if you keep calling me that, I'm going to find someone else to supervise my graduation thesis."

Tan Xuanyi immediately glared at her, "Go ahead and go find someone! Let's see who dares to take you!"

She was speechless. "Why would you bring something like this?"

"What? After all these years at Peking University, this is all the connections you have?" Tan Xuanyi said proudly.

Jiang Xiaoli could only coax this old child by saying, "I was just joking with you. Our counselor just showed me a really long list and told me to go back and choose carefully. When I saw your name, I decided on it without even thinking."

"Hmph! That's to be expected!"

Ran Hui came out of the kitchen carrying a plate of food. "Xiao Li, don't listen to him. Choose whoever you want. If he dares to make things difficult for you, I'll personally go and talk to him!"

Jiang Xiaoli chuckled at Professor Tan, "Oh dear, I forgot, Professor Ran and I are on the same side!"

Tan Xuanyi was speechless. "Old woman, you're just interrupting me!"

Ran Hui rolled her eyes at him, "I can't be bothered to talk to you!"

She turned around and pulled Jiang Xiaoli to sit down. "Xiaoli, come and try this soup. I specially picked out an old hen at the market this morning. You're lucky to have caught it."

Jiang Xiaoli filled three small bowls with soup, first giving some to Ran Hui and Tan Xuanyi, before she picked one up and tasted it herself.

"Wow! Professor Ran, your soup-making skills are amazing!"

Ran Hui said modestly, "Hehe, my cooking skills are just so-so, the main thing is that the old hen today is good! Xiao Li, if you like it, drink more."

After dinner, Tan Xuanyi called her to his study and asked, "Your trip to Great Britain wasn't a waste, was it? I heard you got a sales agency for a foreign brand?"

Jiang Xiaoli nodded. "Yes, this brand is a project of the Medical Aesthetics Research Center under Jiang's Medical Research Institute. The main functions of the product are sun protection and whitening. It has exclusive patented ingredients and the effect is very good. I have been using it for more than 20 days of military training and I haven't gotten tanned at all."

Tan Xuanyi thought for a moment, "It seems that's true. You guys came back from military training as a bunch of dark-skinned potatoes, but you're still fair and clean."

"Pfft!" Jiang Xiaoli laughed at "Little Black Potato," "You're quite good at giving people nicknames, aren't you?"

Tan Xuanyi denied it, saying, "I didn't come up with that. Every year when students come back from military training, they are much darker-skinned. Many people say that."

She smiled and said, "Actually, it's quite fitting!"

"Hmm." Tan Xuanyi took a sip of tea. "From what you've said, this product really does seem quite effective, but it must be expensive, right?"

Jiang Xiaoli nodded, "Yes, it's not cheap. You get what you pay for, and there are many discerning people in China who know their stuff."

Tan Xuanyi instructed, "After all, it's an expensive product, so we need to put more effort into marketing."

"I know, my current plan is..."

The two got so engrossed in talking about company matters that Jiang Xiaoli didn't realize it was already past 5 p.m. until she shook the empty thermos.

She carefully put away her notebook, saying, "Time flies, Professor Tan. Let's call it a day."

Tan Xuanyi closed his pen. "I think this marketing plan is almost perfect. The specific results will depend on the people who execute it."

Jiang Xiaoli nodded. "I know that. I'll keep an eye on it until 'Dr. Pei' is successfully launched and sold."

As they came out of the study, Ran Hui sat on the sofa and looked up to ask, "Xiao Li, are you having lunch at home this afternoon? Order whatever you like!"

She glanced at the time and didn't refuse, saying, "I like all kinds of delicious food except for cilantro!"

Ran Hui smiled and said, "I just love kids like Xiao Li who eat so well!"

This time, Tan Xuanyi didn't argue. "Young lady, don't try to lose weight like those people. You'll be blessed if you eat and drink well!"

Jiang Xiaoli said with a smile, "Then I'm sure I'll be blessed with good fortune in this life!"

"Haha." Tan Xuanyi was amused by her proud little expression. "You little rascal!"

While waiting for her food, she casually asked, "Professor Tan, what aspect do you think would be best for my graduation thesis?"

Tan Xuanyi thought for a moment, "Actually, there are many angles you can take for your graduation thesis. I think using real data to illustrate your understanding and operation of the company's actual management is a good choice."

Jiang Xiaoli thought for a moment and then smiled, saying, "If I use data from the 'Jiang Group,' wouldn't that sound a bit like showing off?"

Tan Xuanyi disagreed, saying, "It's not like we're fabricating or lying. Applying what we've learned to the management of a company is precisely the ultimate goal of establishing a business administration major."

She nodded. "You're right. I'll go back and think about which case would be better."

When she got home that evening, she lay on the sofa with her eyes closed, trying to recall a few cases suitable for her graduation thesis, and fell asleep without realizing it.

When Li Guizhi returned home, she found her daughter sleeping on the sofa. She took a blanket and gently covered her with it.

Jiang Xiaoli was a light sleeper to begin with, and when she sensed the movement, she opened her eyes and smiled, saying, "Thank you, Mom!"

Seeing that she was awake, Li Guizhi put the blanket aside and said, "Go back to your room and sleep if you're sleepy."

She nodded and casually asked, "How's your recent learning going?"
