Chapter 323: Base Storm

Before Han Lie went down to make arrangements, Gu Ying sent someone to report that the mission had been completed.

Shangguan Wan and Han Lie looked at each other, then stood up and walked out in unison, swaggering out of the base. Before leaving, Shangguan Wan asked Han Lie to pass on the message.

The base, once quiet, with only the occasional snoring, suddenly erupted in a commotion over this sudden incident. Many people didn't understand the specifics of the incident, but the fact that it concerned the base and their safety was a matter of great concern, and the base was in an uproar.

Everyone gathered at the door of Commander Wen's villa, asking loudly, hoping someone would give them an answer.

The Red Eagle team members were left behind by Shangguan Wan to maintain safety and calm the people in the base.

"Aren't you from the base? What on earth is going on?"

What does it mean to abolish the old system?

“Why was Commander Wen arrested?”

“How did those refugees get into the base?”

"I don't agree. Who knows if they are infected now? No, we can't let them in."

"You say it nicely, but who knows if it's your plan?"

"Where is Commander Wen? Did you capture Commander Wen because you valued the base and wanted to kick us out?"

There were many different opinions in the base for a while, but the Red Eagles just tried to prevent any accidents from happening and did not give any explanation. After all, Shangguan Wan had not spoken yet.

There are also some people within the base who maintain their support.

"It's good that they're abolishing the old system. It can save a lot of people. As long as they work, they can get protection. This way, they can avoid lazy people and still provide protection."

"Think about those people who were thrown out. They were so pitiful. They almost handed over all their food when they entered the base, but they were kicked out after only being there for a few days. Think about the elderly people. They have parents too. Think about the children who were rejected. Some of them have mutated children now, so they feel sorry for other children. But if they are rejected like this, they will probably not live long before they are killed."

"They say the commander secretly built a research institute to study viruses. So, is he trying to harm them and control them to make money for himself? It's terrifying to think about it."

"Yes, Commander Wen is not good at managing this base. It would be better to replace him. At least find someone who is dedicated to the benefit of mankind as the leader. They are the only ones still alive. If they don't think about saving themselves, I'm afraid that humanity will be extinct."

"Yes, and Commander Wen also turned a blind eye to what he did. He simply couldn't control the safety of the base."

The people at the base weren't angry at being disturbed, but rather concerned about the events of the day. They simply wanted to know who could have achieved this position. But this person must be the savior who would save the world from danger.

Shangguan Wan and Han Lie drove out of the base at breakneck speed and parked at the base of the building across the street. They went upstairs. Seeing the intact team return, Shangguan Wan's face lit up with admiration. As expected of his soldiers, they possessed strong execution abilities.

"Xiao Wan, Commander Wen is still in a coma. We have brought back the remaining soldiers. It's up to you how to deal with them." Lone Eagle pointed at Commander Wen lying on the ground behind him and the soldiers tied up like dumplings beside him.

"What's going on with them?" Shangguan Wan didn't understand the situation at the time and could only think that she didn't understand and didn't want to blame the good people.

Lone Eagle told Shangguan Wan the entire story, including Commander Wen's fearful eyes and pale face.

Shangguan Wan looked at the lone eagle seriously, indicating that this was true?

Lone Eagle nodded and frowned as he looked at Commander Wen lying on the ground in a mess.

"You think there's someone behind him that he's wary of, and that he's probably just being forced into this or is just colluding with the crowd."

Shangguan Wanxiu looked at Commander Wen with a sad expression as she recalled her previous life. It seemed that this incident had never happened. In addition, she died early, so she didn't know what happened afterwards.

Could it be that someone was manipulating all of this? Thinking about it, it seemed possible. After all, Commander Wen wouldn't necessarily have access to such advanced equipment. Furthermore, this location seemed more like a premeditated plan.

"You go down first, go back first, and find a way to pry open his mouth tonight, find out all our problems and give an explanation to everyone in the base. And find a way to find out the person behind him. If we do this now, I'm afraid we have alerted the enemy." Han Lie looked at the still excited Lone Eagle and the others, pointed outside and asked them to take those soldiers away. They didn't have time to convince them at this time.
