Chapter 127 Resumption of School Procedures

Li Xunli looked at Shen Qingqing without saying anything, and she knew that what Shen Qingqing said made sense.

She sighed. When Zhang Mingxian was adopted, she was still young, and since the way she was addressed hadn't changed, in Li Xunli's mind, it was just that this fourth uncle had moved to their area.

Later, when Li Xunli stopped studying and went out to find work, she ran into her fourth uncle several times when she returned home to borrow money, but she never saw him come to pay it back.

After a few times, she finally understood what the situation was like.

Li Xunli turned her head away, her mind in turmoil... No, she was trying to teach Shen Qingqing not to speak like that in front of adults!

I got swayed by that stinky girl!

But Shen Qingqing had already run towards Shen Yangyang and Shen Hong, and she wasn't going to wait for her mother to react so she could continue to scold her!

They're not stupid.

The laughter of the four children echoed through the porcelain factory, bringing a touch of life to the otherwise quiet and silent factory area.

Li Xunli didn't hold them back. As she walked towards the electric kiln, she recalled the process the shopkeeper had demonstrated for them when she went to buy the porcelain that day. Then she began to immerse herself in making the Fuwa porcelain again.

As the start of the school year drew closer, Chen Manyu's application materials for resuming his studies were finally prepared by Li Huifen and her husband through their slow and careful work.

Shen Qingqing was doing her exam at home when a phone call came in.

"Hello? Is this Qingqing? Your Aunt Huifen and your brother Manyu will be coming to our house later. Teacher Zesong went to school first. You can lead Aunt Huifen and brother Manyu to the school later. They need to complete the procedures for resuming their studies." Li Xunli's voice sounded a little soft on the phone.

The sounds from the other end were very chaotic.

After the banquet that day, the group of people that Li Xunli had interviewed and who had signed contracts with had officially started learning how to make Fuwa porcelain at the porcelain factory.

"Okay, I understand! Should I send Yangyang to her maternal grandmother's house, or should she come with me?" Shen Qingqing asked.

“If she wants to go, that’s fine too. Just make sure she wears a hat and a long-sleeved jacket, and rub some ointment on her ankles,” Li Xunli replied.

"Okay, bye-bye, Mom!" Shen Qingqing hung up the phone decisively.

She rushed back to the room and shook Shen Yangyang, who was still taking a nap, awake: "Yangyang, your sister is taking Brother Manyu to school. Do you want to go with your sister or go to Grandma's house?"

Before Shen Yangyang had even opened her eyes, she mumbled a confused reply: "With my sister..."

"Okay!" Shen Qingqing ran to the bathroom again, wet Shen Yangyang's small towel, and covered her face with it.

They rubbed and scrubbed until Shen Yangyang was completely awake.

When Shen Yangyang came out of the restroom, Chen Manyu's knocking came from the door: "Qingqing, we're here!"

"Okay! Coming right away!" After putting the last thin sun protection jacket on Shen Yangyang, Shen Qingqing led her out of the house with her bicycle.

Since summer vacation started, Shen Qingqing hadn't been to school, so it felt a bit unfamiliar to her now.

Since it was during the holiday, Shen Qingqing disregarded the school's rule against riding bicycles on the school road and rode her bike directly to the small pavilion between the third and fourth grades and stopped there.

Chen Manyu followed her and stopped beside her.

Hearing the commotion on the second floor, Chen Zesong poked his head out of the corridor and shouted, "Qingqing, bring them up to the second floor!"

"Oh, okay! Coming!" Shen Qingqing was just lifting Shen Yangyang off the back of the bicycle when she suddenly heard this shout. She was so startled that she almost threw Shen Yangyang off halfway.

Shen Yangyang had never been to Wangling Elementary School before. As she followed Shen Qingqing up to the second floor, she kept looking into the classrooms and asking, "Where is this? Where is this?"

While keeping an eye on whether Chen Manyu and his grandson were following behind, Shen Qingqing also had to answer Shen Yangyang's question.

Once inside the office, Shen Qingqing called out "Teacher," and Shen Yangyang seemed to have a switch flipped, stopping completely and obediently following Shen Qingqing's side.

Chen Zesong asked Shen Qingqing to sit down first, as he needed to start dealing with Chen Manyu's student status and the original leave of absence certificate.

Seeing that there was nothing for her to do, Shen Qingqing simply told Teacher Chen Zesong and then took Shen Yangyang downstairs for a stroll.

This perfectly satisfied her curiosity, which led her to ask about every classroom she passed by.

Blackboard bulletins for students in grades four and below are usually created by teachers, and they are mostly educational or contain basic knowledge.

When Shen Yangyang was at home, she often followed Shen Qingqing and Shen Rongzhou around and watched them learn some knowledge that she couldn't understand. After watching for a long time, she remembered some very simple and basic things.

I happened to wander into the third-grade classroom, and the blackboard at the back was decorated with the twenty-six letters of the English alphabet.

Shen Yangyang excitedly pointed at the blackboard and shouted to Shen Qingqing, "Sister! ABCD!"

When Shen Qingqing saw that Shen Yangyang recognized her and was looking at her with bright eyes, she immediately perked up. She let go of Shen Yangyang's hand, ran back to the podium in a few steps, grabbed a pointer, and ran back to the podium. "Come on, Yangyang! When I point, you read!"

Shen Yangyang raised her hand: "Okay!"

"D!"

"K!"

"N!"

"..."

After playing the twenty-six letters for two and a half rounds, Chen Manyu and his group finally finished their paperwork.

However, even though the formalities were completed, Chen Manyu hadn't taken the entrance exam yet. But because Teacher Chen Zesong didn't bring the key to the office cabinet where the exam papers were kept when he came today, he could only come back tomorrow to take the entrance exam.

As I led them downstairs, I happened to hear the innocent voices of children coming from the third-grade classroom.

When I went over, I saw Shen Qingqing and Shen Yangyang having fun pointing at the blackboard behind them.

Seeing that Shen Yangyang could recite the twenty-six letters of the English alphabet fluently at such a young age filled me with even more emotion.

Children raised in families where reading is important tend to be good at reading.

When Shen Qingqing saw the person standing at the door after she had finished playing, she immediately stopped, put the pointer back, and pulled Shen Yangyang over: "Teacher, is everything done?"

Chen Zesong spoke to Shen Qingqing in a very gentle tone: "Yes, it's all done. Manyu will come over tomorrow to take an entrance test and see which grade he should be placed in to retake the test."

Chen Manyu stood behind Chen Zesong, his face filled with tension when he heard these words.

"Should I still bring him along?" Shen Qingqing asked.

"Yes, you'd better bring him over. Then you can take a look at his test paper and grade it for him too." Chen Zesong had actually asked Chen Manyu a few questions while processing the paperwork, estimating his level to be around second or third grade, but to be more precise, they would need to do a test tomorrow before making a decision.
