After arranging a time with Chen Zesong, Shen Qingqing left with Chen Manyu and his grandson.
As Li Huifen sat in the back of the tricycle, tears welled in her eyes, but her face wore a smile of joy and relief.
Because Chen Manyu was to take the re-enrollment test based on his most authentic situation, Shen Qingqing didn't give him any extra cramming.
She only told him what time to come to her house the next morning so they could go to school together.
Chen Manyu wanted to find some psychological comfort from Shen Qingqing, but Shen Qingqing decisively went home without giving him a second glance.
He had no choice but to obediently go back. He tossed and turned all night, and when Li Huifen woke him up the next morning, he could barely open his eyes.
When Shen Qingqing went out with a bag of soy milk in her mouth, she saw that Chen Manyu's eye was bloodshot and asked in shock, "Brother Manyu, what happened to your eye?"
Chen Manyu struggled to open his sore eyelids, shook his head with his eyes half-closed, and said, "Nothing's wrong, I'm just sleepy."
Shen Qingqing understood; this was pre-exam syndrome, especially for students like Chen Manyu who hadn't experienced an unknown exam venue in a long time.
She was reborn back to elementary school. If she had been reborn back to the college entrance exam, she would have fainted on the spot and had to repeat the year.
Shen Qingqing raised her hand, intending to pat Chen Manyu's shoulder, but she wasn't tall enough, so she could only pat his arm instead: "Don't be afraid, Brother Manyu. Just write down what you know on the test paper, and leave the ones you don't know blank. As long as you get them right, I'll give you extra points!"
"Do you believe me?" Shen Qingqing asked Chen Manyu earnestly.
Shen Qingqing's sincere gaze was meant to encourage Chen Manyu, but Chen Manyu was too sleepy and his vision was blurry, so he couldn't see Shen Qingqing's encouragement clearly.
He could only nod twice, as if dozing off, when he heard Shen Qingqing's question.
Shen Qingqing blinked, then changed to a fierce tone, "Don't sleep!"
The sudden increase in volume startled Chen Manyu, and his eyes, which were almost closed, immediately opened wide.
"Don't fall asleep while riding your bike!" Shen Qingqing said to Chen Manyu as she got on her bicycle, then pushed off.
Chen Zesong had already taken out all the final exam papers from last semester, from grades one to four.
When Shen Qingqing brought Chen Manyu to the office, he was hesitating whether to take the second-grade test paper or the third-grade test paper.
"Teacher Zesong, we're here!" Shen Qingqing stepped into the office as if she were in her own home.
In contrast, Chen Manyu, who was following behind her, was already walking cautiously like a quail wearing handcuffs and shackles.
He glanced furtively at Shen Qingqing, who had sidled up to the teacher, his eyes filled with admiration.
"Qingqing, you've come at the right time. You've done both of these papers. Which one do you think is more suitable for Manyu?" Chen Zesong placed the second-grade and third-grade papers in front of Shen Qingqing and asked her to choose.
Shen Qingqing fell silent. She was certain that Chen Manyu's Chinese language skills were up to the fifth grade level, but she hadn't had a chance to test his math and English yet.
She looked up and sincerely asked Chen Zesong, "Can't I do both sets? I did both sets too."
"Do you think everyone is like you?" Chen Zesong chuckled and scolded her.
These two sets of test papers have a normal number of questions for ordinary students. As long as they follow the teacher's instructions diligently and do not forget the knowledge points, the second-grade test paper can be completed within 45 minutes, while the third-grade test paper can be completed in a little over an hour. The reason for giving a little more time is to allow students time to make mistakes.
Not everyone is like Shen Qingqing, who can reduce the time spent answering questions by several times and still get them all right.
"That's okay, we can do one set in the morning and one set in the afternoon." Shen Qingqing said with the most innocent expression, saying the cruelest words to Chen Manyu.
Even more frightening is that Chen Zesong agreed to the proposal.
With a tragic expression, Chen Manyu sat on an empty teacher's workstation and began writing the first set of test papers.
Chen Zesong personally sat beside the examiner to supervise the exam.
After all, Chen Manyu is a rather special student. We are worried that because he hasn't studied for so long, he might find these test papers too difficult and become frustrated.
He has to sit by and watch, offering timely advice when necessary.
With nothing to do, Shen Qingqing glanced at the only computer in the office and quietly asked Chen Zesong, "Teacher, may I take a look at the computer?"
Chen Zesong nodded: "Okay, desktop computers need to be turned on frequently anyway. School is about to start, so let's turn them on now so they won't break down after school starts and we won't be able to find exam papers for you."
No matter what kind of student they are, they won't be happy to hear about exam papers.
Shen Qingqing is even more so!
She's not a masochist.
She's not afraid now only because she knows all the knowledge points and is very confident in them.
After receiving an affirmative answer from Chen Zesong, she immediately slipped over and turned on the computer.
Computers still boot up very slowly these days, let alone school computers.
It took a full day and night for the computer to boot up before the screen finally lit up.
Shen Qingqing opened the stock page and began to study the stock trends over this period of time.
The red line fluctuates, but overall it shows an upward trend.
As Shen Qingqing recalled what stock trends looked like when she heard people talking about the bull market of 2007 in her previous life, she matched the lines on the stock chart little by little.
