When Shen Qingqing was asked to change her schedule to audit classes in the senior high school building for a semester, Zheng Yonghui didn't say much in class. He just asked Shen Qingqing to go to his office after class to inform her privately.
However, Yao Run and Chen Siping were in the same class as Wu Fangyi. When they discovered that Wu Fangyi hadn't been in class since the start of the semester, they immediately grabbed the two of them and asked what had happened as soon as they returned to the dormitory.
Jinzhong High School doesn't exploit its senior students to the point of exhaustion for the sake of college entrance examination pass rates. Even senior students wake up at the same time as other students and go back to their dormitories to sleep at the same time after evening self-study.
However, the senior high school building was a bit far from Shen Qingqing's dormitory, so Shen Qingqing and her friend took a little longer to get back to their dormitory after evening self-study than Yao Run and the other three.
As soon as they entered the dormitory, Fang Airu and Yao Run shoved mineral water bottles in front of them, one on each side, and subjected them to "torture": "Tell me, where did you go today? Why weren't you in class?"
Shen Qingqing blinked, then immediately raised her hand dramatically, using a sickeningly sweet voice, and said, "How can you accuse someone like that? I really was doing my best—"
"Get in here! You're a disgrace!"
Before Shen Qingqing could finish speaking, Yao Run, covered in goosebumps, simply lifted her inside with one hand. At 1.75 meters tall and having studied Sanda (Chinese kickboxing), it was too easy for Yao Run to lift Shen Qingqing, who was less than 1.62 meters tall.
When she was dragged in, Shen Qingqing was given a light, painless kick.
Fang Airu kicked him.
Shen Qingqing was dragged in, groaning and crying.
Wu Fangyi used to protect her to some extent, but later she found that Shen Qingqing was also enjoying herself, so she simply gave up and stopped caring.
“At the beginning of this semester, we transferred to the advanced class in the senior year to audit classes, so we don’t attend classes in the classroom.”
Yao Run put down the fluttering chicks in her hand and turned to look at Wu Fangyi, who was explaining: "What do you mean? You're not coming to class this semester? What are you going to do about your exams?"
After tugging at her clothes that were hanging up, Shen Qingqing continued, "She won't take any of the exams in the second year of high school; she'll go straight to the third year."
The other four looked at each other. They could hear every word Shen Qingqing said clearly, but when they were put together, they were a little confused.
Seeing that they were still confused, Shen Qingqing paused for a moment and then explained the whole situation: "Fangyi and I plan to take the college entrance examination early this year. We are currently doing final review with the senior students, so we will not attend any of the junior classes."
The other four: "..."
"So you... are graduating together this June?" Fang Airu managed to ask, with some difficulty.
Shen Qingqing nodded readily: "Yes, if we pass the exam, we'll graduate; if we don't, we'll just hang out with you guys for another year~"
As she finished speaking, Shen Qingqing gave a sickeningly sweet wink, then vomited at the remaining four people.
"If you graduate, will two more people move into our dorm?" Chen Siping suddenly thought of this question.
Shen Qingqing blinked blankly; she really didn't know the answer to this question.
"No, only classes within each grade might live together, but not between grades," Wu Fangyi explained after checking.
"That's alright," Chen Siping muttered.
The entire dormitory suddenly fell silent. Everyone's expression was indifferent, yet it concealed a deep sorrow.
These teenagers, aged sixteen or seventeen, are at a time when they are full of youthful thoughts.
The earliest farewell they experienced was after the grand and sweeping journey of their senior year of high school, when they went their separate ways with their bags packed.
For Yao Run and the other three, this farewell was actually a year in advance.
I thought they would stay together and have fun until their senior year of high school, and discuss which university to go to after the college entrance exam. But I never expected that these two academically brilliant students would skip a grade and take the college entrance exam!
"Are you going on a graduation trip this summer? It's only half a month. Senior high school students start classes on August 1st, the college entrance exam is on the 7th and 8th, and our final exams are in early July. There's enough time." Fang Airu broke the silence in the dormitory first.
"Hiss—" Shen Qingqing gasped. To be honest, she was a little tempted, but she was still a minor and it wasn't very convenient for her to travel without a guardian by her side.
Wu Fangyi had also thought of this, "Let's prepare for the graduation trip when Qingqing is an adult. We'll be sophomores and you'll be freshmen then, which will be just right."
Shen Qingqing is two years younger than them; she's only sixteen now.
“Okay, you two should be applying to those two schools in the capital, right?” Fang Airu sat back in her chair, leaning back against the chair, looking at Shen Qingqing and Wu Fangyi with some envy.
"I don't know where I'll take the exam, but I'll fill in all the schools I can," Shen Qingqing said.
She wouldn't even dare to dream of those two top-two schools!
She checked and found that, apart from Peking University, the only domestic universities with business programs that have a place in the world rankings are those in Hong Kong.
But obviously she has no way of attending a university in the port city.
I can only take a closer look later, or ask the teachers when the time comes.
Wu Fangyi nodded firmly: "I want to give it my all for the School of Mathematics at Q University."
Shen Qingqing already knew about Wu Fangyi's choice. That night, as they chatted on their way back to the dormitory, Wu Fangyi was convinced of her love for mathematics by Shen Qingqing's words, "As long as you figure out what you want most."
Q University is renowned for its science programs.
"When you get accepted into which schools, remember to tell us! We'll come visit you a year from now!" Fang Airu clenched her fist. "Even if it's not the same school, we can still be in the same city!"
