"Qinghua, help!"
Upon seeing Zhang Qinghua and the other person, Song Lili felt as if she had found a lifeline. Her eyes lit up, and she seemed to have gained more energy. Her legs felt lighter, and she quickly ran over.
She got close, almost crashing into Zhang Qinghua's arms; she had no strength left.
"What's wrong?" Zhang Qinghua hugged Song Lili tightly and asked anxiously.
"Hurry...hurry...run! There's a wild boar behind me...it's been chasing me!" Song Lili said weakly and intermittently.
The little hand tugged weakly at Zhang Qinghua, urging him to run quickly, because there was a big wild boar behind them.
"What? Wild boar, where is it?" To everyone's surprise, Zhang Qingguo was not afraid when he heard the word "wild boar," but instead shouted excitedly.
Song Lili couldn't help but glance at him. "What...what's next?"
As soon as she pointed, she saw a black wild boar charge out from behind, heading straight for Song Lili.
"Oh my god!" Song Lili screamed instinctively in fright.
Zhang Qinghua, carrying Song Lili, turned around and quickly dodged the wild boar's attack.
He finally understood why Song Lili had been running so breathlessly – it was because of this wild boar.
"Brother, this wild boar is really big. If we catch it, there will be so much meat!" Zhang Qingguo shouted with shining eyes.
“Okay, lead it towards the trap.” Zhang Qinghua nodded, not intending to let the wild boar go.
"Okay," Zhang Qingguo replied, and immediately took off running. Zhang Qinghua led Song Lili in another direction.
The wild boar was a little confused when it saw that one person had turned into three, and it didn't know which one to attack first.
Unexpectedly, Zhang Qingguo ran away first, so it instinctively chased after him and successfully rescued Song Lili.
Watching the wild boar chase Zhang Qingguo and disappear quickly, Song Lili asked worriedly, "Is Qingguo alright?"
Wild boars are quite strong; if they catch up, you're doomed.
She was incredibly grateful that she could run so fast, otherwise she would have been dead for sure.
"Don't worry, Qingguo used to follow me and ran around with wild boars a lot. He knows what to do." Zhang Qinghua wasn't worried.
When they were starving, he and Zhang Qingguo did all sorts of dangerous things just to survive.
Several years have passed, and Qingguo has grown up. There's no reason why he shouldn't be able to deal with wild boars anymore.
"Then...then let's hurry...hurry up and follow them." Song Lili was still a little out of breath, but much better.
"Have a seat first, I'll pack up and we'll go." Zhang Qinghua helped Song Lili sit down, took the basket off her back that was about to fall off, and prepared to put the wild rabbit in it.
Only then did Song Lili belatedly realize that there was a basket on her back, and the wild vegetables inside had long since been scattered somewhere.
She grinned and said, "Hehe, I forgot I had a basket on my back." At that moment, she was only thinking about running away and ignored everything else.
Zhang Qinghua couldn't help but laugh. "Give me your rabbit."
"Huh? Oh?" Song Lili was stunned for a moment before she realized what was happening, and blankly handed the rabbit in her hand to Zhang Qinghua.
When did I catch this rabbit? I don't remember it.
"Are you injured?" Zhang Qinghua asked, squatting down in front of Song Lili after seeing that she was breathing normally.
"No, I ran fast, it couldn't catch up, I'm just a little tired," Song Lili replied, her limbs limp.
This time, I'm really exhausted.
"It's good that you're alright. Get up, let's go see Qing Kingdom."
That trap was dug several years ago. I glanced at it when I passed by today and found it was much shallower. I don't know if it can still trap that wild boar.
He was still somewhat worried about Qing Kingdom.
"Okay," Song Lili struggled to stand up, her arms and legs were weak, but she still gritted her teeth and stood up.
Now, no one knows what's going on in Qing Kingdom, and it's not time for them to rest either.
“I’ll pull you along.” Zhang Qinghua grabbed Song Lili’s arm with his large hand, using his strength to support her.
"Okay," Song Lili said without being coy. She really didn't have much strength at the moment. If reality allowed, she would have lay down and refused to move.
Zhang Qinghua was very strong; he practically half-carried Song Lili as he quickly walked towards the trap.
As they approached, they heard the roars of wild boars and Zhang Qingguo cursing and panting.
"I told you to come up, I told you to come up, so stay inside obediently."
"I went through all that trouble to lure you here, and you think I could still let you escape?"
Then came a dull thud, like a stick hitting something, followed by the howl of a wild boar.
"This is..." Song Lili's heart skipped a beat, and she felt relieved. Hearing this, she knew that Zhang Qingguo was alright.
Zhang Qinghua smiled slightly, "The wild boar went in, and Qingguo guarded it and didn't let it out." He had heard it all along.
"That's good."
When the two arrived, they saw Zhang Qingguo holding a long stick, as thick as an arm, and hitting it repeatedly. They had no idea where he had found it.
In the trap in front of him, wild boars kept jumping up and down, trying to break free, but each time Zhang Qingguo knocked them down.
Zhang Qingguo was a little out of breath, but he seemed to be in good spirits.
Upon seeing the two of them, he grinned from ear to ear, "Big brother and sister-in-law, you've come?"
"Find a place to sit down, Qingguo and I will tidy up," Zhang Qinghua said to Song Lili, putting the basket on the ground.
Song Lili nodded, feeling that she probably couldn't be of much help, so she obediently agreed.
Then they saw Zhang Qinghua quickly climb a tree, pick a branch about the same thickness as Zhang Qingguo's, and pull it down sharply. With a snap, the branch broke.
He took a branch and went to the edge of the trap, aimed the broken end at the wild boar's eye, and thrust it in forcefully.
Then, Song Lili heard the wild boar's screams, followed by an even more violent charge.
Zhang Qinghua's attack blinded one of the wild boar's eyes, and the pain drove it to rage and go berserk.
He directly used his strong defense to block the attacks of Zhang Qinghua and his brother, without dodging, and charged towards them.
Zhang Qingguo had been preventing the wild boar from rushing out, while Zhang Qinghua seized the opportunity to deliver a fatal blow to the wild boar.
Wild boars have thick skin, so ordinary things can't harm them at all. Only their eyes are relatively vulnerable.
Therefore, Zhang Qinghua acted swiftly and ruthlessly, blinding the wild boar in both eyes and rendering it unable to attack accurately.
Without its eyes, the wild boar had no way of knowing where people were, and it rampaged wildly under the trap, causing the soil around the trap to fall down in a rustling sound.
"Qingguo, go tie a noose around its neck. I'll sharpen this stick." That way, we can deliver a fatal blow to the wild boar.
