Chapter 158 Provocation in the Experiment

After Xing Baohua finished her three busy days, the phone rang again. George had arrived at the machinery factory and was staying at the factory's guesthouse.

As for how he got here, we had to trouble the Foreign Affairs Office.

During this period, there were relatively few foreign visitors to China, so almost everyone who got off the plane was received.

Find out which province you're going to, and then notify the provincial liaison office in Beijing. A dedicated staff member will then meet you.

George arrived safely, that's good. Xing Baohua asked Liu Quan to ride his tuk-tuk to pick him up, and to stop by the factory to find his uncle and ask to borrow the television for a day.

I'll also take Su Ya to eat at the city hotel after work. I'll let her go there directly after work.

With everything arranged here, Xing Baohua said to Ruiding, "I'm all ready. Three days is just enough time to finish. I'll show you the results tomorrow."

"Xing, you've surprised and shocked me. If I hadn't seen you make it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed that you could design and manufacture such a great product in just three days," Redding said flatteringly.

Anyway, Xing Baohua has already finished the procedure; as for the results, Rudin hasn't seen them yet. Compliments aren't worth much, but it's better to say something now, just in case she succeeds.

But before long, the smile on Redding's face also froze.

He met another foreigner, who was from the United States.

After he arrived, Xing Baohua obviously didn't let him talk in the office, but instead let him wander around the factory casually outside the office.

Redding saw Xing Baohua receive a thick document from that American.

I've always been curious about it.

Afterwards, Xing Baohua asked Liu Quan to take George back to the guesthouse to rest.

What Xing Baohua had in his hands was a signed contract with Motorcycle, and even a two-way paging authorization letter.

Back in his office, Xing Baohua casually placed his things on the table and began refining the final part of the software.

Curious, Reading pointed to the document and asked, "Xing, can I take a look?"

“Okay, but you need to sign a non-compete agreement. Wait a moment, I’ll copy one right away.” Xing Baohua said, taking out a piece of paper to copy it. He simply copied the agreement he had signed in his previous life, making only minor modifications.

"Be a petty person first, then a gentleman later." Xing Baohua isn't afraid of Ruding's reckless actions; in reality, these things already have owners, and even if they saw them, they wouldn't dare to create them. They can only serve as a deterrent.

In about twenty minutes, I wrote two pages.

Let Redding take a look, and if there's no problem, he can sign it or even put his fingerprint on it.

Have Xiaobo bring over the inkpad so we can easily put our fingerprints on it.

After reviewing it, Redding felt there were no problems. He signed and sealed the document before looking at the patent authorization letter for the two-way paging system that Motorcycle had given to Xing Baohua.

I had previously heard Xing Baohua say something that hadn't been confirmed, but now that I've seen the documents and the information about the American people, I have to believe that Xing Baohua has close ties, or even cooperation, with the Motorcycle Group.

Being in the communications industry, they are destined to be competitors. If Xing Baohua's wireless transmission system can utilize both wireless and computer equipment, the value it brings will be enormous.

Redding thought to himself, "Luckily, I used the buyer's identity to lure them in. If Motorcycles had bought the patents for the equipment and software, who knows what would have happened?"

Looking at the patents and such only confirms the authenticity of Xing Baohua's cooperation with Motorola.

Ericsson and Motorola have collaborated several times and transferred patents to each other, so Ruding can tell the authenticity of the patent in Xing Baohua's possession.

It's true, Reading acknowledged in his heart.

Xing Baohua didn't reveal George's identity, but in fact, he did it on purpose.

As expected, Reading regarded George as the representative of motorcycles. Although they didn't discuss much during this meeting, perhaps they can find time to talk later?

Reading was eager to know their next collaboration. But really, it was just a thought; collaborations are always kept secret, they don't let anyone know at all. Otherwise, why would they sign a confidentiality agreement?

After finishing his last task, Xing Baohua took Ruiding back to the hotel, where he found Su Ya waiting for him at the entrance.

The three of them had dinner together that evening, and Xing Baohua told Ruiding that the hotel offered international long-distance calling, and that he would cover the cost if anyone wanted to make a call.

Xing Baohua was arguing with him so he could communicate with headquarters. After all, it involved a large sum of money; otherwise, Xing Baohua wouldn't have resorted to the "you can't catch a wolf without risking your cub" strategy.

As expected, Redding looked pleasantly surprised and said to Xing Baohua with a smile, "If your experiment succeeds tomorrow, I will call and persuade them to buy your patent. But I need to take your equipment back to show them."

"I'm sorry, I really want you to take it back, but that can only be done after my patent is approved. You know, you guys apply for patents much faster than I do," Xing Baohua said, chuckling.

The patent thing isn't even close to being finalized yet. The drawings aren't even finished, so how could there be a patent?

Looks like I'll have to work overtime these next couple of days to finish the drawings so George can take them with him on his way back. I'll also try to find a professional agency to expedite the European and American patent applications.

Time is money, and it's not something to be taken lightly.

After dinner, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and the feeling of being together for a short time is indeed quite delightful.

Unfortunately, Su Ya couldn't enjoy the night with Xing Baohua.

Xing Baohua had no choice but to drive her home.

When Su Ya arrived home, Xing Baohua said to her, "I'll be very busy these next few days and won't have time to spend with you. I'll come see you when I'm done."

"Okay!" Su Ya nodded as if she understood, and then left.

The next day, after breakfast, Xing Baohua took Ruding and headed straight to the electronics factory.

Unfortunately, there was no video recorder to capture this glorious moment, as the workers had already connected all the television sets that Liu Quan had borrowed to the learning machine.
