Chapter 464 The phone keeps ringing, it's really weird.

After finishing his call with Liu Quan, the person in charge of Huahong Logistics called Xing Baohua, saying that the first C-130 delivered by the United States would arrive in Hong Kong. They asked Xing Baohua if he wanted to hold a small ceremony and invite him to attend.

With only one aircraft, who are we trying to impress with this kind of ceremony? We have to go through all the trouble of inviting the media. If we had more aircraft, a proper acceptance ceremony would have improved our image and demonstrated our strength.

One plane was too pathetic. Xing Baohua told the other party to just accept it normally. He suggested that the logistics executives should step forward, find a few pretty girls to give the pilots flowers to express their appreciation for their hard work, and find some ground staff to take a picture. That would be the gist of it.

Not long after I hung up the phone, it rang again.

When he answered the phone, he heard it was Su Ya. The two hadn't been in touch for a long time. Xing Baohua was too busy dealing with a bunch of trolls to pay attention to anything else.

After chatting sweetly for a while, Su Ya told him that she would be coming to Hong Kong in three days. She was not coming alone, but with a group to attend a financial academic exchange conference.

Professors from several schools and financial experts from certain institutions came.

Her advisor brought her and another graduate student with her.

After talking on the phone for more than half an hour, his phone got hot and the battery warning went off. After hanging up, Xing Baohua asked someone in the office to inquire about any recent financial academic conferences in Hong Kong.

After replacing the phone's battery, Xing Baohua's office secretary informed him that the University of Hong Kong was holding a financial academic conference in four days, inviting numerous universities to participate.

An invitation from the University of Hong Kong?

It seems he himself is from the Department of Finance at the HKU Business School, but he hasn't been there in a long time, and no one has informed him about this academic conference.

Okay! This guy is being a bit presumptuous.

Although he has some social standing, what is he in academia? Moreover, he didn't get in through the proper channels; his classmates only knew his name, not his face.

Xing Baohua didn't want to participate in academic conferences either, as they were boring and tedious, and more importantly, whether he could understand them was another matter.

After thinking about it, I decided not to show my face. I'll just pick up Su Ya later, and then everyone can have fun or go home to sleep.

8:00 AM, Capital Airport Terminal.

Su Ya glanced at her mentor, Professor Meng, and saw that he was talking with leaders from other colleges.

“Junior sister! I heard there are many fun places and snacks in Hong Kong. How about we go check them out and have some food sometime? My family asked someone to help me exchange some extra Hong Kong dollars. You can get some from me if you need them.” A tall, thin young man approached Su Ya and said.

Su Ya turned around and said, "Thank you, senior brother, I have the money. Oh! Just a reminder, some areas in Hong Kong are quite chaotic, so be careful when you go out. It's best to go to crowded and bustling places."

"You heard it from someone else, right? It's different from what I heard. A few senior students from our department went there before. They said the security was very good, and there were police patrolling. After all, Hong Kong is a developed place, so there won't be any of that kind of smog."

"Senior brother, I didn't just hear about it; I went there myself."

"?"

Su Ya's senior brother was speechless. He looked at Su Ya with a questioning gaze, wanting to ask how she got there.

Just as Su Ya was about to speak, their mentor, Professor Meng, came over. Su Ya greeted him and heard Professor Meng say to her, "Little Su! Did you contact your boyfriend during your trip to Hong Kong?"

“I contacted him, and he said he would pick me up from the airport, but I didn’t let him come. However, it won’t be convenient for me to join the tour group tonight!” Su Ya said.

“Oh! Okay, try to get together with your partner sometime. I remember he said he was coming from the University of Hong Kong. Let him be the host.” Professor Meng said.

“Okay, Professor Meng, who are we waiting for? Our flight is at 9:30, so it’s about time we headed to security to check in!” Su Ya said, glancing at her watch.

“There are still more than thirty people who haven’t arrived yet. This time, not only are there representatives from our academy, but also from several financial institutions, such as the People’s Bank of China, the National Economic and Reform Commission, and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Even if they arrive late, the plane will have to wait for them.” Professor Meng said, and Su Ya nodded in agreement.

Professor Meng was then called aside to speak with others, and Su Ya's senior said to her, "You have a boyfriend? And you're still studying at HKU?"

"Hmph!" Su Ya glanced at him but didn't say anything more.

Perhaps this senior student had some ulterior motives and wanted to pursue her, but after overhearing Professor Meng and the other person's conversation, he knew he had no chance.

After finally boarding the plane, the senior student helped Su Ya put away her carry-on luggage. Su Ya thanked him and sat down. She took out her Walkman from her small bag, put on her headphones, and prepared her mask so she could take a short rest after takeoff.

A moment later, someone sitting next to Su Ya came in. After seeing him put down his luggage, the person said, "You're going to Hong Kong for a meeting, right?"

The senior nodded, and Su Ya hummed in response.

The man was dressed very formally in a suit and tie, and he was quite handsome. He looked to be close to thirty years old.

"Are you students or from some company?" the handsome young man asked.

The senior student said "student," and the other person smiled and said, "I am the secretary of Elder He of the Advisory Committee. My name is Liang Shuangli."

"Hello, I'm Wang Yang, a graduate student of Professor Meng at the University of International Business and Economics. This is my junior, Su Ya." Su Ya's senior brother replied to the handsome guy across Su Ya's face.

Liang Mi glanced at the Walkman in Su Ya's hand, then at her appearance. Just as she was about to speak, her phone rang.

Instinctively, I reached for my phone, only to see Su Ya already taking it out of her bag and answering the call.

My phone was leaking air badly, and I heard a man's gruff voice ask, "Have you boarded the plane yet?"
