Chapter 296 The Charming Yu Hui

Feng Fenfen, this shrewd woman, had secretly prepared two plans long before Wang Hu mentioned bringing a girlfriend home. She was always worried that her son would be deceived by those flashy, unreliable women outside.

If Wang Hu brought back a woman who was dressed extravagantly, acted frivolously, and was clearly not respectable, she would fight a huge battle with her son to get rid of her without any mercy.

She thought to herself, "I can't let this kind of woman ruin the son I've raised with so much love." Her mind was filled with all sorts of terrible scenarios because of this!

The family on the other end of the phone gave a detailed report of the situation, saying that Yu Hui seemed very quiet, spoke politely, and dressed appropriately. Upon hearing this, the family thought the girl seemed quite nice, not the kind of woman who would cause them concern. And after meeting Yu Hui in person, they confirmed she was indeed a good woman. Therefore, the second plan was officially launched.

Her family is actually very open-minded. They don't care whether Yu Huijie has been married before. In their view, as long as their son is happy and this woman can sincerely live with him, that's enough. After all, living together is about finding someone who can support and understand you, not just looking at superficial things.

Wang Hu led Yu Hui to his family, smiling as he introduced her: "This is my mom, this is my dad! This is my sister!" His voice was loud and proud, as if he were announcing to the world that Yu Hui was the one he had chosen. Yu Hui quickly bowed slightly and politely said, "Hello, Uncle and Aunt! Hello, Sister!" Her voice was clear and melodious, but trembled slightly with nervousness.

Upon hearing this, Feng Fenfen immediately grabbed Yu Hui's hand and said with a smile, "Don't call me uncle or aunt, call me Mom and Dad, okay? From now on, you're part of our family, so don't be so polite with us."

The tone was full of affection and warmth. Yu Hui's face turned even redder. She hesitated for a moment, then mustered her courage and said softly, "Mom and Dad! Hello." This "Mom and Dad" seemed to form an invisible bond, tightly connecting her with this unfamiliar yet warm family.

When Yu Hui arrived at Wang Hu's home, she was truly flattered by the extraordinary politeness shown to him by his parents. She had never experienced anything like it before; Wang Hu's parents treated her like a rare treasure, welcoming her in and not letting her lift a finger. Yu Hui was filled with doubt, feeling like a guest, yet even more special than a guest. This special treatment left her completely bewildered, and she could only keep wondering to herself.

After sitting in the living room for a while, Yu Hui couldn't sit still any longer. She felt she couldn't just sit there doing nothing. So, she stood up, a slightly awkward smile on her face, and walked towards Wang Hu's mother, Feng Fenfen, who was busy in the kitchen. She said softly, "Mom, let me help you." After saying that, she stepped into the kitchen, looking around, trying to find something to do.

Feng Fenfen was picking vegetables by the sink when she heard Yu Hui's words. She quickly straightened up, turned around, and waved her hand with concern, saying, "No, honey, you can rest. You're not alone now, so you have to take care of yourself." Her tone was just like that of a mother talking to her own daughter, full of affection.

Upon hearing this, Yu Hui was taken aback at first, then realized that Wang Hu's parents had misunderstood; they thought she was pregnant. Yu Hui's face flushed red instantly. She felt extremely embarrassed and stood there awkwardly, explaining softly, "Mom, I'm not pregnant." Her voice was so soft it was almost like a mosquito's buzz.

Feng Fenfen's smile froze instantly, a hint of disappointment flashing in her eyes. Her mouth agape, she exclaimed in surprise, "Huh? You're not pregnant. That brat called me on the way here saying you were. He probably made up this lie because he was afraid I'd object to him being with you. No way, I have to go teach him a lesson!" With that, Feng Fenfen put down the groceries she was holding, rolled up her sleeves, and made as if to leave.

Yu Hui felt a warm glow inside after hearing Feng Fenfen's words. She hadn't expected Wang Hu to come up with such a scheme to deceive his parents in order to let her integrate into the family. And she herself had let it slip.

Yu Hui felt both touched and guilty. She quickly stepped forward and stopped Feng Fenfen, saying anxiously, "Mom! Don't go. Wang Hu did it for me. He was afraid you wouldn't approve of us being together, so he resorted to this. If you want to hit someone, hit me instead." As Yu Hui spoke, she stretched out her arm, looking like a child who had done something wrong.

Seeing Yu Hui's nervous yet sincere expression, Feng Fenfen couldn't help but laugh. She patted Yu Hui's hand and said, "Okay, you know how to cherish a man. I won't hit him anymore, alright? Let's cook!" After saying that, she picked up the vegetables again and started preparing them. Yu Hui quickly joined in to help, and the kitchen was instantly filled with a warm and cozy atmosphere.

"Yes, Mom!"
