Chapter 7 Delivering Meals

"Fine, if you're not going to deliver it, then get back to work!"

Bai Jiaojiao kicked the person out of the door.

Shen Heng had no idea how he was kicked out. Looking at the closed door, he couldn't help but feel a little lost. He turned around and quickly left the house.

Bai Jiaojiao knew that Shen Heng clearly wanted it; she knew better than anyone how much Shen Heng longed for this warmth.

That jerk, always saying one thing and meaning another.

If Shen Heng had just said a few nice things and had flattered her more in his past life, she might not have divorced him back then.

Bai Jiaojiao went into the kitchen. She had just bought some prawns at the supply and marketing cooperative, picked two radishes that Shen Heng had planted in the yard, shredded them, and stewed them together.

Being by the sea means that seafood is incredibly cheap.

She had just finished making the pancakes when she heard someone knocking on the door.

Who is it?

Bai Jiaojiao found it strange.

Are there still people in this village looking for Shen Heng?

Could it be her eldest brother or second sister?

Bai Jiaojiao opened the door, and upon seeing who it was, her delicate brows furrowed: "What are you doing here?"

Liu Ying looked distressed and cried out, "Bai Jiaojiao, didn't you promise me you wouldn't tell anyone about me and Yu Wenli? I beg you, please don't tell anyone what you saw that day?"

After Liu Ying ran back, she was thoroughly embarrassed by the educated youth who returned from their lunch break, but they seemed to only know about her relationship with Yu Wenli.

As for the incident at the beach that day, where she and Yu Wenli took off their pants, Bai Jiaojiao probably hasn't told anyone yet.

She quickly begged to come over, hoping to stop the matter from being mentioned by Bai Jiaojiao.

Bai Jiaojiao couldn't help but find it amusing.

Having been fooled once in her past life, she sees Liu Ying as a clown in this life.

Liu Ying shared the same thought as her, wanting to rely on Yu Wenli to return to the city.

If Liu Ying wanted to date Yu Wenli, then it could be considered a transaction involving sex.

She witnessed Yu Wenli and Liu Ying intertwined on the beach with her own eyes; otherwise, she wouldn't have felt so disgusted and had a fierce argument with Yu Wenli on the spot.

Liu Ying's shirt was yellowed from washing, and she wore army green pants. She had two braids, a round face, and a thin body, making her look honest and easy to bully.

But Bai Jiaojiao knew that Liu Ying was a ruthless person who would do anything for her own purposes, and was not as pitiful as she appeared on the surface.

Bai Jiaojiao didn't invite Liu Ying in. She leaned against the door and said, "Isn't this great? The whole village knows you and Yu Wenli are dating. No one else will have the chance to secretly get together with Yu Wenli like you have, right?"

Bai Jiaojiao's sarcastic remarks caused Liu Ying's muscles to twitch, and she almost lost control of her expression.

Liu Ying looked around warily. Shen Heng's house was an old house with no neighbors, and there were hardly any people outside when he was at work.

She then said, "Really, I was deceived by him too. I didn't know he was with you! Bai Jiaojiao, I apologize to you!"

Liu Ying, wanting to gain Bai Jiaojiao's sympathy, covered her face and cried: "But I've given him everything. If others find out about this, how can I face them?"

Bai Jiaojiao sneered inwardly.

When you spread rumors about me and Shen Heng, did you ever think about how I would face people in the future?

In her previous life, after Bai Jiaojiao married Shen Heng, Yu Wenli also wanted to come and entangle her.

Liu Ying was resentful and still regarded her as a rival in love.

While everyone was busy cutting firewood and digging for vegetables on the mountain, Liu Ying took advantage of the chaos and pushed her off the mountain. She rolled several times and almost hit a rock. Fortunately, the grass on the mountain was lush, otherwise she would have died.

Later, Liu Ying even tried to frame her for having an affair, spreading rumors about her and making her reputation as utterly despicable.

There are also countless little stumbling blocks in daily life.

Now that Liu Ying is begging in front of her, she not only doesn't feel sorry for her, but will make her feel even more sorry for her.

Bai Jiaojiao feigned innocence: "Wouldn't it be even better if others knew that you'd cleared your name for Yu Wenli? Then you could ask the brigade leader to stand up for you and make Yu Wenli take responsibility for you. If he doesn't admit it, you can sue him for hooliganism; he wouldn't dare disobey you."

Liu Ying hesitated for a moment, and Bai Jiaojiao immediately put on a kind-hearted act:

"Think about it, as long as you marry him, you'll achieve your goal, right? You'll be his family member, and when he returns to the city, you can go with him using your marriage certificate. Besides, if you can give him two children after marriage, won't you just tie him down?"

Liu Ying was somewhat tempted by Bai Jiaojiao's words.

"Can it really work?"

"Why not!" Bai Jiaojiao looked around to make sure Shen Heng wasn't nearby, then put on a look of deep regret: "I just didn't have the guts to go back then, and now I really regret it. I'll be stuck here for the rest of my life. Sigh, I'll never get ahead."

Seeing Bai Jiaojiao's current predicament, Liu Ying clenched her fists: "I must go back to the city." After four years in the countryside, Liu Ying had long been fed up with this kind of life.

Bai Jiaojiao then feigned concern and advised, "You really need to think this through, it could ruin your reputation!"

Liu Ying rolled her eyes at Bai Jiaojiao: "I'll do anything as long as I can marry Wenli. Unlike you, I'm not willing to risk everything!"

Liu Ying forgot her original purpose for coming, made up her mind, and turned to leave in a hurry.

Bai Jiaojiao watched Liu Ying's departing figure, a smile playing on her lips.

What follows is a real show of scumbags and bitches fighting like dogs, leaving everyone covered in grime.

She was in an incredibly good mood, humming a song all the way as she carried her basket to find Shen Heng.

"Heng-ge! I've brought you food!"

Bai Jiaojiao started shouting from the edge of the field. Although most people were taking a midday nap at home, there were still a few people scattered around in the field.
