Chapter 6 Supply and Marketing Cooperatives

I prepared the oil, salt, soy sauce, and vinegar that I usually use at home, and the whole trip cost me a total of four yuan and two jiao.

Bai Jiaojiao bought quite a lot of things, but Shen Heng didn't say a word, only seemed to be deep in thought.

When Shen Heng took Bai Jiaojiao home, it was already lunchtime when everyone was taking a break.

However, Shen Heng had left a lot of work behind and had no time to rest; he had to hurry to the fields to finish it.

Shen Heng has a bad reputation, and the captain doesn't think much of him.

But he was a very capable worker, so the brigade leader turned a blind eye to Shen Heng's usual misdeeds, which allowed Shen Heng to have a foothold in the village.

Bai Jiaojiao resented Yu Wenli for disrupting her plans, causing Shen Heng to not only miss meals but also not have a proper rest.

What would it feel like if someone brought him food? How should he react? What should he say? What should he do?

Chen Heng has no experience.

He didn't want to make a fool of himself.

Bai Jiaojiao saw through Shen Heng's attempt to hide his unease and felt a pang of heartache. She waved her hand to dismiss Shen Heng, saying, "Alright, you should go to work now."

Shen Heng said in a rough voice, "You're not allowed to deliver this to me, or you'll see what I do to you when I get back!"

Chen Heng: From the first day of marriage, he begins to establish his position in the family.
