Chapter 106: The Queen's Sorrow
"Who is this?" The Insect Emperor whispered to himself. He opened his eyes wide and looked at the corpse inside. The corpse's appearance and bones were obviously younger than him, and the skin was smooth and without wrinkles.
The Insect Emperor clenched the cane in his hand, suppressed his anger, and asked again: "Captain, who is this?!"
Colin lowered his head and said, "Emperor Insect, the grave robber opened the crystal coffin when he escaped, and the body has been inside all this time."
The Insect Emperor breathed heavily, and he walked forward as fast as he could, using his cane to roughly push away the black crystal fragments that were pressing on the corpse. Some of the fragments cut the flesh of the corpse when they exploded, causing the skin to crack slightly and black blood to flow out.
The oppressive sound of swish filled the tomb, and the atmosphere was depressing. Colin took the opportunity to turn his head and look to the side.
Sean and A'ran walked in as ordered. They stood at the corner, not daring to speak due to the pressure from the Insect Emperor.
Sean's face turned pale at some point. Colin glanced at him, and after a moment of silence, he finally spoke: "Your Majesty, the corpse inside might have been left by grave robbers. I heard them talking about the black crystal. They firmly believe that the black crystal can preserve corpses..."
Before Colin could finish his words, he was hit on the head by a cane.
The solid wooden crutch was heavy, and Colin fell backwards. He did not utter a sound of pain, but continued to kneel in the same position.
The Insect Emperor didn't even look at him. He had already turned the half-lying corpse over.
The face of the corpse was exposed to his sight, with a high nose bridge, tightly closed eyes, and a pair of peach blossom eyes that were raised upwards even in death, just like they were in life. There was a tiny red mole at the corner of the eye.
The waist-length silver hair almost stung the pupils of the Insect Emperor, and his hand holding the cane trembled uncontrollably. After a few seconds, he fixed his eyes on Sean.
"Sean, who is this bitch?"
Sean froze, raised his head stiffly, and said, "Father, I don't know why Ryan is here. I have always kept him in the hospital for treatment. He is a plant worm..."
"He's in the black crystal coffin now!" The Insect King coughed twice, and stabbed the female insect's arm with his cane, as if he wanted to chop him into pulp. "You evil creature, what do you want to do? Let this worthless insect be the king?!"
"No, no... Father, a bug stole Ryan while I was away. I have never done such a thing, Father..."
Sean's voice trembled as he looked at the female insect's body. The flesh on its arms was smashed into a bloody mess, and black blood was all over the floor.
Ah Ran watched coldly from the side. He said, "Sean, you are the only one who knows where Ryan is being treated. It's hard for my father and I to see him. Who could steal such a big insect from you?"
Sean's lips turned pale, and he kept explaining to the Insect Emperor: "Father, Ryan is still alive. He is just a plant worm and he is not dead yet. I will take him back and will not let him pollute your eyes..."
"This bastard should have died long ago." The Insect Emperor used his cane to pierce the female insect's arm. He looked at Sean and his voice became hoarse. "You kept him for so many years. Are you resenting me?"
Sean choked up, his eyes turning red without him noticing. The Insect Emperor stared down at him, his cloudy pupils still showing his pressure, and his pupils were raised like snakes, casting a large shadow around him.
Sean was silent for a long time, then said in a dry voice, "Father, Ryan is guilty, and you should execute him."
"Throw him to the alien beasts." The Insect Emperor pulled the cane out of the female insect's body. He walked slowly outside, stopping every step, leaving a trail of blood. "Sean, go in person."
Sean blinked, his Adam's apple rolled, and he lowered his head and said, "...Yes."
The Insect Emperor passed by Colin and looked down at him. The female insect was kneeling on one knee with a serious look on her face. The Insect Emperor looked at him for a while, then looked away and walked out.
A'ran also stood up after that. He glanced at the female insect's corpse and then quickly left the tomb.
Fabian had been waiting outside. He waited for A'ran to come out and handed him the pills: "Prince, you haven't taken your evening medicine yet."
A'ran took the pill and swallowed it expressionlessly. He glanced at Fabian and asked in a low voice, "Did you do this?"
Fabian wiped his palms and smiled at A'ran, "Prince, how can I steal a female insect with my body like this? Can you please stop doubting me about everything?"
A'ran closed his mouth and sneered.
The curve of Fabian's lips gradually softened, and he said nonchalantly, "I just gave Prince Sean a few words of advice. Who knew he was so brave?"
Ah Ran raised his eyelids: "Be careful or he might kill you."
"As long as I stay in your room, he can't kill me." Fabian laughed. "Don't you think so?"
Ah Ran pulled the corner of his mouth and said, "Get lost."
The female soldiers outside quickly evacuated the cemetery. The footsteps gradually faded away, and finally only a few insects were left in the tomb to deal with the cracks.
The crystal coffin insect king does not allow other insects to touch it, and some insects have already set up a cordon around the crystal coffin.
Sean sat paralyzed on the ground in the grave. He hugged Ryan's body and tore off his belt to wrap Ryan's injured arm.
"Ryan, don't be afraid, it doesn't hurt...it doesn't hurt..."
Colin stood beside Sean. He looked at the way Sean held Ryan tightly and refused to let go. Suddenly, a surge of bitterness and unspeakable emotions rose in his throat and chest.
"Sir, he's dead." Colin squatted beside Sean, curled his fingers and wiped the tears from the corners of Sean's eyes with his sleeve, "Why do you have to do this?"
Sean suddenly shook off Colin's arm. He looked up at Colin, the hatred in his eyes almost overflowing from his eyes: "He's not dead! He's just a plant insect, he's still alive!"
Colin's arm ached, so he withdrew his hand and said no more.
Ryan had stopped breathing a long time ago. He was a worm before, but not long ago, all his organs began to fail rapidly, especially his heart, and there was no way to save him.
He died a week ago.
Colin thought Sean could let him go, but he didn't expect that Sean was unwilling to abandon Ryan's body and secretly placed him in the crystal coffin of the Insect Emperor.
This is a great sin. Sean could actually do this for his queen.
[What a sentimental bug. Woohoo... Colin, there aren't many male bugs in the bug tribe who are as affectionate as Sean. He loves his female queen and she also loves you. He is the only male bug with great love.]
The pink ball came back from outside at some point and landed next to Colin, with the heart of love on its body beating continuously.
[Now his queen is dead. From now on, he will love you as much as he loves himself... and cry for you. You are his only one.]
Colin frowned and murmured, "Great love..."
