Chapter 105: Disputes

Chapter 105: Disputes

Colin stood there in a daze.

This crystal coffin was created by the Insect Emperor after years of painstaking efforts. From the day the construction plan was finalized, this black crystal coffin has been a key protected item.

Now not only is it damaged, but there is also another body hidden inside.

The corpse that fell from the crystal coffin was placed there by the worms at some point. He fell among the broken pieces of black crystal, half lying on his side in a bright yellow robe, with his waist-length silver hair scattered on the ground. Colin saw the pale skin on the corpse's arms among the stones.

There are no body spots and the body has not yet decayed.

Colin's eyes rested on the winding silver hair. He stood there, and for some reason he felt that the body looked familiar.

He took two steps towards the crystal coffin and suddenly heard the sound of gunfire coming from outside the cave.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Everyone retreat - the prince is here, all the rest of the female insects retreat!"

Colin immediately turned around and walked out of the stone gate. The female soldiers outside were divided into two teams with long guns in their hands. They were all royal guards, they were all dressed in uniform, and they all pointed their guns at the opposite side.

The Tenth Army followed Colin's orders and stayed outside the cave. They did not join the confrontation in front for the time being, but just watched from the sidelines.

Colin came out of the cave. When the adjutant saw him, he stepped forward and whispered, "Captain of the Legion, Prince Sean and Prince Aran are here. They are still fighting for the priority to enter the cave."

Colin frowned when he heard this and shifted his gaze forward.

Sean stood on the left side of the cemetery. He still wore the pigeon blood-red ruby on his neck. There were obvious wrinkles on his white suit, as if it had never been taken care of.

He looked across with an uncertain expression: "Ah Ran, why are you here instead of resting in the palace?"

Upon hearing this, A'ran covered his lips and coughed. His face looked bad, with dark purple under his eyes, and he could hardly stand up straight in his coat.

He smiled at Sean and said, "The royal mausoleum was robbed, this is a big deal. I am worried about my father's crystal coffin, so I came here to check the situation. Sean, why are you here?"

"Of course I'm concerned about the situation in the cemetery as well." Sean's expression remained unchanged. He was anxious to enter the cemetery. Just as he was about to walk to the side, he saw the female soldier opposite him step forward and block his way.

Sean turned his head and looked to the side: "Brother Wang, what do you mean?"

A'ran stood still, and the female soldier on Sean's side was staring at him with a gun, but A'ran pretended not to see anything.

He said, "Xian, you call me your royal brother, shouldn't you let me go in first?"

"You go in first?" Sean sneered, "Brother Wang, you have been ill for a long time and have not been able to leave the cave. What do you want to do by going into the cave in advance?"

Ah Ran did not show any weakness. He asked back, "Then why do you want to go in early? This is father's crystal coffin. Before father comes, it is better for both of us to stay where we are."

"you!"

The two insects in front of him were on the verge of a fight, and the atmosphere became increasingly cold. Colin stood at the entrance of the cave. He received the signal from Sean and hesitated for a moment before moving to the side.

The adjutant received the order and ordered the Tenth Army to disperse to the left, allowing Prince Sean to enter the cave first.

Sean is the crown prince of the current dynasty, so there is nothing wrong with Colin letting him enter first.

Sean's expression eased a little. Without even looking at A'ran, he led his troops and walked quickly through the road that the Tenth Army had separated from.

Ah Ran's eyes sank slightly when he saw this. He covered his left ear and heard the sound from the miniature earphone. Adrien and the others had already escaped from the cave, and the military girl had not caught them yet.

A'ran breathed a sigh of relief and turned his head to look at Fabian.

Fabian received the order, stepped back a few steps, and suddenly shouted, "Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Please go inside first!"

The female soldiers in the cave paused when they heard the sound. The female soldiers on Ah Ran's side had already knelt down, and Ah Ran also knelt on one knee and patted the shoulder towards the cave entrance.

The other female soldiers knelt down facing the cave entrance. Sean had just walked halfway and had not yet entered the cave. His face changed when he saw this, and he knelt down to salute along with the insects around him.

A minute later, no sign of any insect appeared at the entrance of the cave.

There was dead silence inside the cave. The female soldiers lowered their heads and exchanged glances secretly, but they did not dare to raise their heads to look at the scene in front of them.

Sean waited for a minute or two. Ah-ran knelt in a perfect and motionless posture, as if he was welcoming the Insect Emperor.

But there were still no insects at the entrance of the cave.

Sean immediately realized that something was wrong. He stood up and shouted angrily: "Ah Ran, how dare you spread rumors about the Insect Emperor..."

"Your Majesty, the crystal coffin is inside. I will take you in."

Sean's body froze when he heard the voice of the female soldier talking outside the cave. He turned his eyes to the cave entrance and saw a hunched figure slowly approaching with the help of bystanders.

The shadows cast by the lights covered the entire wall, with overlapping colors becoming increasingly darker and more oppressive.

Sean's eyes were dry. A few seconds later, a male insect wearing a royal robe slowly walked into the space where they were.

The Insect Emperor turned his cloudy gray eyes to Sean. The rest of the insects all knelt, and Sean was the only one standing in the entire cave.

"Kneel down."

Sean heard the old man's hoarse voice, and it was like he had been hit hard. He quickly knelt on one knee and said, "Greetings, father."

The Insect Emperor's royal robe dragged on the ground, his face was covered with wrinkles, and there were gray spots around his forehead.

In fact, he was not so old and haggard, as his blond hair still had a luster. However, due to long-term illness, the flesh on his face had sunken in, and he walked with a hunched back, like a dead skeleton.

"Go... help me in..." The Insect Emperor looked around. All the female soldiers in the cave were kneeling on the ground. His gaze stayed on Sean and A'ran for a long time before moving away.

Colin knelt in front of the tomb. He lowered his eyes and saw the Insect Emperor's leather boots slowly stepping past him.

Along with the heavy royal robe, it appeared and disappeared from his sight.

After the Insect Emperor entered the cemetery, the Insect Tribe outside stood up. The Insect Emperor did not allow the female soldiers to enter the cemetery, so the female soldiers guarding outside stood aside according to the regulations.

Colin stood up and glanced at Sean. Sean's face was pale and he stood straight and motionless.

"...Who! Who did this! Get in here! Get in here!"

The roar of the Insect Emperor exploded from inside the tomb. His voice was already hoarse, and now the trembling inside could be clearly heard.

Colin knew he couldn't hide it, so he entered the tomb first and confessed to the Insect Emperor: "Your Majesty, I failed in my duty and failed to protect the crystal coffin. I am willing to go to the military department to accept punishment later."

The Insect Emperor was frozen in the tomb, leaning on his cane. He could not even walk steadily, stumbling with every step, his eyes fixed on the corpse half-covered by the black crystal.
