Chapter 31 Investigation (1)

Assistant Yang's memory was still stuck in the past two months. He was stunned when he heard Liang Wenyu's words. After all, Liang Yiyi never learned in the past. "Okay, President, I'll do it right away. Does the young lady have any other requirements, such as color or style? If not, I can order one according to the preferences of a child of this age."

"Yang Hao, don't call me Miss. We have known each other for so many years, just follow me and call me Yi Yi. Before, I asked you to call me by my name, but you said we were in the company and we couldn't talk about personal relationships. Now Yi Yi is not an employee of the company, so you don't have to be so restrained." Liang Wenyu said in a friendly tone.

Yang Hao, 25, a classmate of Liang Wenyu, also graduated from Peking University. He joined Liangcheng International during his sophomore year. A native of Province X, he grew up with only one mother. His father had left for work long ago and never returned, leaving them alone in the countryside. Yang Hao had always been a good student. After his father disappeared, his mother was the sole breadwinner, supporting the family and supporting his education. Due to the constant overwork, his mother developed a series of illnesses early on, but she had no money for medical treatment. This lasted two or three years. By the time Yang Hao was admitted to university, his mother's condition had worsened. To save money for his mother's medical treatment, Yang Hao would rise before dawn every day to deliver milk and newspapers, and work as a tutor and waiter in the evenings. But despite his constant work, the money he earned was not enough to cover his mother's medical expenses. He and Liang Wenyu were in the same class, and after learning a little about him, he asked if he would like to work for his family's company. If he agreed, the company would lend Yang Hao some money to help with his mother's medical treatment, with the money to be repaid with his future salary. Yang Hao was desperate at the time, so why wouldn't he agree? Later, his mother's health gradually improved after treatment, and she often told her son, "You must be grateful. Without Liang Wenyu, she would have died long ago. You must work hard and not let this kindness go to waste." So, for the past two years, Yang Hao has been diligent and dedicated to his duties at the company. He can be a bit old-fashioned and reserved, though.

Yang Hao thought about it and felt that what Liang Wenyu said made sense. "Okay, then I'll call her Yi Yi. If you don't have any other requests, I'll go down and take care of this matter first."

Liang Wenyu nodded and said, "Then you go ahead and do it. By the way, please urge those people in the planning department to complete the case as soon as possible. I don't have much time for them." Assistant Yang nodded in agreement and went out.

Liang Yiyi was busy listening to the recordings in the lounge. The 29th floor of Fidelity was indeed unoccupied; the only sound in her earphones was the cleaning lady sweeping. No one had entered the building since the office hours were over. As for the 28th floor, Ryoda Shinji had probably not arrived yet, so she heard nothing.

When I was driving to the company in the morning, there was someone following my second brother's car, but it didn't seem like he had any malicious intentions. I guessed that his family might have arranged someone to protect him.

At nine in the morning, Liang Wenlong sent a message to Shizi, giving him Wang Xiaoping's home and cell phone numbers, asking him to help him check who Wang Xiaoping had contacted on the day of the incident. After hanging up, he drove to the Chaoyang District police station and found the confessions of several thugs. He found that everyone else was normal, except for one of them, Hou Jie, who had only been with them for about a week and was an orphan.

After leaving the police station, Liang Wenlong went straight to Hou Jie's current residence. He rented a two-bedroom, one-living room apartment in Sanlitun, not too far from the police station.

Unfortunately, when he arrived, no one was in the house. According to the neighbors, they hadn't seen this person for a long time. Liang Wenlong had no choice but to contact the landlord. Not long after, a middle-aged woman with a relatively wealthy appearance rushed over. Liang Wenlong showed his military officer ID. The middle-aged woman's surname was Yan. The neighbors who knew her called her Teacher Yan. It happened that there was no class on the May Day holiday, so she rushed over so quickly. After checking her ID, Liang Wenlong didn't bother to be polite with her and asked her to open the door directly. The room was already covered with a layer of dust, and the things had been packed up. Teacher Yan was very angry, "He left without even saying goodbye. Fortunately, he paid a deposit when he rented the house, and there are no valuables in the house, otherwise where would I find him."

Returning empty-handed, after a morning's work, the gang had already fled. Liang Wenlong had no choice but to look for one of the gang members, a man named Chen Chunhu. Fortunately, he quickly found him in a billiard hall. The gang members who had participated in the fight were also present. Seeing that another person had approached them regarding the incident, they all spoke freely, revealing everything they knew. They felt it was just a fight, and since they hadn't injured anyone, and their medical bills had been paid, there was nothing left to hide. It turned out that these gang members had been together for two or three years and were very familiar with each other. Only Hou Jie joined later. Being generous and lavish, he quickly became close friends with the gang. It was said that it was this man who had invited the gang to the bar where the incident occurred, and it was Hou Jie's harsh words that sparked the fight. They all emphasized that they absolutely had not attacked Liang Yiyi. They had simply gotten into a fight in a fit of rage, provoked by someone. Although they were street stalkers, they were definitely not so unkind as to assault a woman. Actually, these guys weren't the type to do anything evil. They just didn't have any formal jobs and just hung out together all day. They hadn't done much wrong, otherwise Liang Wenyu wouldn't have let them off so easily.

Coming out of the billiard hall, Liang Wenlong was basically certain that the person who had injured Yi Yi and hospitalized was Hou Jie, and Hou Jie's disappearance at least proved that this was definitely not an accident, otherwise he would not have run away. Moreover, Hou Jie seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. He didn't have a job at all, so how could he have so much money to please Chen Chunhu and his gang. This meant that at least someone was providing him with money behind the scenes. Fortunately, Yi Yi was lucky enough not to be killed by them, otherwise where would he find another sister. Liang Wenlong didn't know that her sister was killed by the person who wanted to kill her, and her life was gone, but she, who was born ten years later, took over her body, which gave rise to the current Liang Yiyi.
