Chapter 30 Night Entry

Leaving aside the various struggles of this family, let's just say Liang Yiyi returned to her room and fell asleep. At one in the middle of the night, the alarm on her phone rang. Yiyi quickly stood up, pulled out a tight black leather jacket, leather pants, and black leather shoes, and put them on neatly. She had already put her computer away and stored it in her personal space. Just in case, she kept a disguise on her face. She listened for a moment, and seeing no movement around, Liang Yiyi opened the window and swiftly leaped down from the third floor—yes, a leap. Ever since she successfully transformed the energy in her meridians into internal force, she could already leap six or seven meters from the ground. Although jumping from the third floor to the ground was about ten meters, as long as she reached out and used the outer wall for a little leverage, that ten-meter height was no problem for Liang Yiyi.

Leaving her own courtyard, Liang Yiyi dodged the surveillance cameras, bypassed the guards, and leaped over the wall. A kilometer or two from the compound stood an old residential complex. Liang Yiyi walked over and selected a black Hyundai parked at the entrance. Within three seconds, she unlocked the car, got in, locked the door, and started the engine. Before the alarm sounded, Liang Yiyi had already sped off. The traffic was light at night, so Liang Yiyi drove quickly. In fifteen minutes, she reached the alley behind Fidelity. She didn't rush out of the car, but instead logged onto her computer and hacked into Fidelity's surveillance system. She located Ryouta Shinji's office, then put away her computer and exited the car. Avoiding surveillance cameras was a common practice for a killer. Liang Yiyi entered Fidelity through the back door and found the emergency exit, which wasn't monitored. Ryouta Shinji's office was on the 29th floor, and a few minutes later, Liang Yiyi appeared there. Arriving at the emergency exit on this floor, Liang Yi did not rush out. Instead, he copied a video and put it into Fidelity's surveillance system. The security guard on duty downstairs saw the empty corridor as usual. Although Liang Yi counted that there were as many as twelve surveillance cameras on this floor, Liang Yi could ignore them now.

Ryouta Shinji's office was in the middle of the entire floor. Liang Yiyi glanced around the doorframe, finding no hair, dust, or anything like that before opening the door and stepping inside. The office was simple, almost clear at first glance: a bookshelf, a desk and chair with a computer on the desk, a black leather sofa, a marble coffee table, and a 37-inch TV opposite the sofa. Liang Yiyi thought it was too simple, almost unnaturally so.

Normally, the office should be connected to the lounge, but Liang Yiyi couldn't find it after looking around. This only intensified her doubts. However, Liang Yiyi didn't leave immediately, and she still installed a bug in this extremely simple office.

Liang Yiyi felt a little reluctant to go back like this, so she opened the doors of the two offices next to Ryota Shinji's, found a suitable location, and followed the same pattern to place the bug before heading back. Suddenly, Liang Yiyi heard a "ding" sound, the sound of the elevator door opening, followed by the clatter of leather shoes on the floor in the hallway. "What's there to patrol at this late hour? There's no one in the entire company. I wonder what these leaders are thinking?"

"Why do you care so much? We just do whatever we're told to do. Whoever pays the salary is the boss. To be honest, the old chairman was really good to us. He was much better than this Japanese devil."

"You know, this new chairman is quite strange. He doesn't even work on this floor, so why does he have an office here? He makes us brothers run to another floor."

"Okay, let's go. What's so good about this place? Let's go back quickly so I can get some sleep. I'm so sleepy from playing mahjong all night last night."

Then the elevator door dinged, and silence returned to the floor. Liang Yiyi waited for the two to leave before pulling out his computer. He copied the footage of the two patrolling on the other floors and loaded it into the surveillance system. He then overlaid the blank footage onto the surveillance footage of the twenty-eighth floor. He saved the computer and ascended the stairs to the twenty-eighth floor. It was a good thing he hadn't rushed out earlier, otherwise his trip tonight would have been in vain. He'd spent so much time preparing the offices on this floor, but it was all just for show.

Liang Yiyi searched room by room, from right to left, finally finding Ryoda Shinji's office, the third one on the left. While the other rooms had identical locks, this one had an electronic combination lock. This didn't faze Liang Yiyi. He pulled out his compact from his space and blew gently on the number pad. Four numbers appeared: 1469. Liang Yiyi thought to himself, "Thank goodness there are only four numbers. Trying them one by one won't take long." Sure enough, the door opened on the sixth try. The combination was 1964. This office was large and extremely luxurious. Liang Yiyi didn't dare delay any longer. He simply glanced around and found the door to the lounge. It was not locked. Liang Yiyi tiptoed in and saw a large bed, an extremely large one. Liang Yiyi first placed a bug under the bed and then searched the room. There were a few sets of men's clothes in the closet, but not many. It seemed that Ryoda Shinji didn't stay in this lounge for long. There seemed to be a lot of consumables left in the bathroom. Liang Yiyi walked around the lounge but didn't see anything like a safe. So his valuables might not be kept at the company. Yiyi was a little disappointed. After leaving the lounge, he installed two more bugs in the office to see if he could hear anything useful tomorrow.

In the alley below the Fidelity building, Liang Yiyi turned on his computer, restored the surveillance system to normal, erased all traces of his access, shut down his computer, and quickly drove away. He returned to his neighborhood, wiped his fingerprints off the car, and retraced his steps. At 3:10 AM, Liang Yiyi had already changed into pajamas and lain in bed. The room was as quiet as if no one had left.

On Wednesday morning, after breakfast, Liang Yiyi said to Liang Wenyu who was getting up to leave, "Brother, wait for me. I'll go upstairs to get the books and come down right away." Liang Wenyu smiled and said, "Are you really going to work with me? Okay, brother will wait for you downstairs. Go slowly." Liang Yiyi saw him nod and then walked upstairs with confidence.

At eight o'clock in the morning, Liang Wenyu was already sitting in the office on time. Assistant Yang came up with a stack of documents and said, "Boss, these documents were handed down yesterday and are waiting for your instructions." "Okay, I see. Put them down first and we'll talk about these later. From today on, Yi Yi will work with me. You have to arrange her lunch for me and also give her a separate desk in my office. You have to do this right away." Liang Wenyu said with a smile.
