Chapter 14 Putting on Clothes

The tanned man was breathing heavily. Xiaoyue ran past and blushed when she heard his voice. The tall man behind her caught up and stood there watching the two of them perform.

"Hey, there's an unexpected bonus, we just witnessed a live sex show." The tall man laughed lewdly. "Continue, continue... I have something to do, I won't disturb you two any longer." He waved his hand to signal the two of them.

Xiaoyue saw the tall man chasing after her again. The two men looked bewildered. They were just watching her die. Xiaoyue went back around to the other side of the two men. The tall man was on their left and Xiaoyue was on their right. When the tall man ran to the right, Xiaoyue ran to the left.

The women below were terrified and cried, while the tanned man above could no longer contain his anger.

"Get out of here, all of you! If you don't leave, I'll make sure you all die right here!" Xiaoyue shouted, panting heavily, as she listened to the tanned man's roar. "I'd die in your hands anyway. If he catches me, he might rape me first and then kill me. It's better to die in your hands."

The tall man stared intently at Xiaoyue with a sinister gaze. "You brat, aren't you coming home with me? Don't you remember the three taels of silver I gave your family?"

Upon hearing the tall man's words, Xiaoyue had an idea. She grabbed the clothes next to the tanned man and said, "Brother, I'll cover the young lady with a coat. You get up and help me kill this man. I promise I won't look at the young lady's face." She pointed at the tall man across from her.

The tanned man sitting on the woman's lap agreed. If the tall man saw what the third sister looked like, how would she ever be able to face people in town again?

Thinking of this, the tan-skinned man nodded. The tall man, watching Xiaoyue's conversation with the tan-skinned man, was also taken aback, not expecting the child to be so cunning.

With a laugh, the tall man turned to leave, but the tanned man pounced on him and pinned him to the ground. A few punches later, the tall man's face was covered in blood.

The tall man let out a pig-like scream.

Xiaoyue turned her back to the woman lying on the ground and said, "Sister, put on your clothes. I'm going out too."

Xiaoyue started by taking slow, gentle steps, but soon she was running away as fast as she could, afraid that the man would kill her.

Xiaoyue ran diagonally and came out far from where the incident had occurred. She didn't dare to linger on the way and only felt at ease when she saw the houses in the village.

The first house she saw had a gate as grand as a landlord's, wide enough for a four-horse carriage to pass through. The eaves of the house were also prominent. It was either the estate of an official or the home of a retired official. There was a mounting stone at the entrance. Upon seeing it, Xiaoyue could no longer move. She plopped down, and her hands and feet began to tremble uncontrollably. Her throat felt like it was on fire, and she couldn't speak. Her head was spinning. Xiaoyue knew this wouldn't do.

He had to get back home as soon as possible; there were so many things to do there. He took a step, then lost his footing and fell unconscious onto the rock he was sitting on.

As dusk fell, Yun Xingfei returned from town and saw a person lying in front of the door, seemingly unconscious. He angrily scolded the steward, "Uncle Bai, what are you doing? A grown man has died at the door, don't you know?" After scolding him, he lashed out with a whip at the person on the ground, saying, "Bad luck."

Yun San, who was following behind Yun Xingfei, quickly stopped Yun Xingfei and said, "Uncle Bai, it's nothing. Young Master is just in a bad mood today."

Bai Bo hurriedly opened the gate and let Yun Xingfei into the courtyard. Yun Xingfei dismounted and glanced back at the person lying on the ground. Suddenly, the person looked very familiar. Yun Xingfei leaned closer to take a look and recognized the person as Xiaoyue.

Xiaoyue's face was deathly pale, her lips were purple, her eyes were tightly closed, and her brows were furrowed. Yun Xingfei poked Xiaoyue again with his horsewhip. Seeing that blood was flowing from her head, he quickly had Yun San carry her to the window of the guest room, where there was a couch for people to rest at noon.

They placed Xiaoyue on the couch, and she weakly called out, "Water, water."

Upon hearing this, Yun Xingfei hurriedly asked Uncle Bai to fetch some water. When Uncle Bai brought over a bowl of water, Yun Xingfei quickly took it and said with a mischievous smile, "I'll feed you water." As he spoke, he splashed the water all over Xiaoyue's face, including her lapel.

Xiaoyue was woken up by the water. When she opened her eyes and saw Yun Xingfei standing in front of her, she felt it was unreal and closed her eyes again. The water rolled down her face and into her mouth, and she smacked her lips twice.

Yun Xingfei was both angry and amused. She was angry that Xiaoyue had ignored her after she fell from the tree, but she was amused that Xiaoyue had actually come to her door today. Had Xiaoyue forgotten how she had treated her? How dare she come to her door like this?

Yun Xingfei looked at Bai Bo: "Go get some more water."

"Yun San, go back to town and find some clothes that the woman on the bed can wear." Yun San looked at the woman on the bed suspiciously, hesitated for a while, but still didn't say anything.

Xiaoyue closed her eyes for a moment and then quickly opened them again. Yes, she saw Yun Xingfei. Xiaoyue stared at Yun Xingfei with a wicked smile on his face, feeling a chill in her heart. How could she have seen him?

Xiaoyue opened her mouth, but didn't know what to say, so she closed it again. At this moment, Uncle Bai brought the water over again. Xiaoyue helped herself to sit up, went up to Uncle Bai, and drank the water in one gulp.

Xiaoyue only felt her energy return after the water entered her stomach.

He glanced at Yun Xingfei and said, "I have to go back. There are still many things to do at home."

"Leaving won't be that easy," Yun Xingfei said sinisterly.

"What do you want?" Xiaoyue asked as she slowly approached the window.

"How did you treat me when I went to your house injured? Did you not even know to thank me after I saved you?" Yun Xingfei took a few steps closer.

"You only gave me a glass of water, and you evened out the whole thing by soaking me. We're even now." Xiaoyue remembered the piece of paper Gao Lei had given her, and quickly reached into her pocket. She folded it into a wet, square piece, unfolded it along the creases, and the writing had become blurred.
