Ye Yunxi looked at the fish in front of her and said, "It's free, of course I have to take it."
With a wave of his hand, he stored the fish he had caught into his spatial storage, then took a shower and went to bed to catch up on sleep. He had caught an incredible amount of fish all night.
I slept until after 3 PM, when Yunzi woke me up by licking me. "Human, you didn't come home last night either, only returning at dawn. I was so worried! You have to take me with you next time you go out."
Ye Yunxi forgot to put food on Yunzi's plate when she went to sleep this morning, so she must be starving to be licking me like this.
Yunzi was given some delicious food, and a fish was given as a reward for her to guard the house.
Then, I picked up my phone and checked the time. It was a little past 3 p.m. I had slept enough, so I decided not to go back to sleep.
Seeing Yunzi eating so heartily, her stomach started growling. She took out braised beef, cold preserved eggs, dry-pot bullfrog, and a bowl of rice from her spatial storage. She didn't know if this was lunch or dinner.
Just as I was about to eat, the walkie-talkie rang. I picked it up and answered impatiently, "What is it?"
"Yunxi, are you coming to training today?" Fu Heng asked cautiously.
"No training today, let's talk about it another day." Ye Yunxi said and hung up the walkie-talkie without waiting for a reply.
"..." Fu Heng was about to speak when he heard a beeping sound from the other end.
He looked at the walkie-talkie with a sense of helplessness.
Ye Yunxi hung up the walkie-talkie and stopped worrying about Fu Heng. She continued eating.
Halfway through the meal, there was a knock on the door.
Ye Yunxi cautiously put down her chopsticks, picked up the knife, opened the door, and looked towards the stairwell.
It's Jiang Ming. How did he find his way here?
Jiang Ming saw Yue come out and said with a smile, "Xi Xi, you're here."
Yunzi followed Ye Yunxi out to the stairwell. Ye Yunxi looked down at Jiang Ming and asked, "What's the matter?"
"Xixi, can you let me in to talk?" Jiang Ming tried to ingratiate himself.
"No! Say what you have to say here. Also, don't call me Xixi, it makes me sick," Ye Yunxi warned.
Just then, Fu Heng heard someone causing trouble, opened the door, and saw Ye Yunxi and her ex-boyfriend.
So he walked over to Ye Yunxi and looked at Jiang Ming with hostility.
Ye Yunxi saw Fu Heng walk up to her, but she only glanced at him and didn't say anything.
Jiang Ming noticed the unfriendly look in the newcomer's eyes and turned to Ye Yunxi, asking, "What's he doing here?"
"Whether he's here or not is none of your business." If there's nothing else, please leave. Ye Yunxi issued an order to leave.
Fu Heng raised an eyebrow and looked at Jiang Ming.
Upon hearing Ye Yunxi's order to leave, Jiang Ming immediately changed his expression and said ingratiatingly, "Yunxi, I'm here to apologize to you. I, Jiang Ming, assure you that I have absolutely nothing to do with Li Xin. Shall we make up?"
Ye Yunxi frowned: "Why are you apologizing to me? What does your relationship with Li Xin have to do with me?"
"Yunxi, I know you're still angry, please don't be angry anymore, okay? Let me in, and I'll prove it to you with my actions," Jiang Ming pleaded.
"Shut up! You are you, and I am me. We broke up a long time ago. Do you really think I don't know what you're thinking? You're coming to beg for reconciliation now?" Ye Yunxi said angrily.
Jiang Ming remained unmoved and continued to feign weakness and ingratiate himself, saying, "Yunxi, how could you think of me like that? You liked me so much before, why don't you like me anymore?"
Jiang Ming looked at Fu Heng, pointed at him, and asked, "Is it because of him that you don't accept my love for you?"
When Fu Heng heard Jiang Ming say that about him, he turned around and looked at Ye Yunxi with an expectant expression.
Ignoring Fu Heng's gaze, Ye Yunxi said to Jiang Ming, "Even without him, I wouldn't let you in, much less let you stay inside."
Fu Heng was somewhat disappointed; it wasn't because of him after all.
Seeing Ye Yunxi's ruthlessness, Jiang Ming changed his tune and cursed, "Ye Yunxi, you shameless woman, you must be following this pretty boy for nothing. I'm even here begging you."
Ye Yunxi's face darkened, and she pointed the knife at Jiang Ming: "Try saying another word to me."
Jiang Ming thought she was bluffing him and continued recklessly, "What? You were right, so now you're angry and want to kill me? Don't think I don't know, you've already slept with him!"
When Fu Heng heard Jiang Ming's appalling words, he prepared to teach him a lesson, only to see Ye Yunxi already making her move.
Ye Yunxi's face turned cold, and she slashed at Jiang Ming with the knife. She only managed to cut his arm.
"I told you to speak properly, not to spew filth. If you don't want to live, then go die."
Jiang Ming clutched his injured arm in pain and continued to curse, "You bitch, you just wait."
After saying that, he turned around and ran downstairs.
Looking at Jiang Ming fleeing in disarray, Fu Heng felt that the kid had gotten off too easily. If it were him, he would have made him wish he were dead.
He turned to look at Ye Yunxi and found her staring straight at him.
Fu Heng blushed and coughed awkwardly.
Ye Yunxi rolled her eyes at Fu Heng and prepared to go home, but Fu Heng pulled her back.
Ye Yunxi looked at the hand being held with a face full of question marks, then looked at Fu Heng.
"Yunxi, do you have time?" Fu Heng asked.
"No, let go," Ye Yunxi said coldly.
Fu Heng had no choice but to give up and release Ye Yunxi. Watching her departing figure, he felt somewhat helpless.
Back home, Fu Heng turned on his communicator and contacted Min Yu on Planet H.
H-star Minyu received a video call.
"Did you find out about what I asked you to investigate last time?" Fu Heng asked.
"I found it and was about to contact you, but I didn't expect you to contact me first. Just a moment, I'll send you the information right away," Minyu said with a smile.
"Boss, the girl you asked me to investigate has a spatial dimension, but it's different from ours. We haven't figured out exactly how it's different yet."
Fu Heng pursed his lips and said, "I know that, no need to check. Thanks too."
Minyu: "Why are you being so polite? Boss, you don't actually like her, do you?"
Fu Heng did not answer Min Yu's question and hung up the communicator directly.
Minyu: "Interesting. I'll find a chance to go to Earth and take a look."
