Chapter 11 Where did the Black Impermanence come from?
Inside the car, Lu Mingzheng's eyes were wide open as he watched Jiang Ruzhen and the other two fussing with great interest.
His large, well-defined hands tapped slowly on the steering wheel.
He woke up as soon as the three men arrived. He had initially thought they were petty thieves and was planning to rid the people of this menace later.
But after watching for a while, he realized that the three people didn't seem to be there to steal anything; they were changing clothes and putting on makeup by the wall.
He was in a very bad mood when he came to visit the families of his fallen comrades today.
But seeing the scene before him, he gradually became interested, thinking that he might see something interesting in a little while.
He opened the car door and quietly went to the back of the yard. Looking at the high wall, he used his hands and feet to quickly climb over it.
It landed silently; you can tell it's someone who's skilled in martial arts.
Tonight is a dark and windy night, the perfect time for murder and arson.
He reached out nimbly, making his way all the way to the base of the window without making a sound.
He pulled out his Swiss Army knife from his pocket, cracked the window open a crack, and held his breath as he peered inside.
After Shen Zhuoyi and Shen Zhuohang crossed the courtyard, Shen Zhuohang waited at the door while Shen Zhuoyi pried open the bolt and crawled inside.
Hao Youde was sleeping soundly on the kang (a heated brick bed), snoring loudly. He had been too scared to sleep last night because of Jiang Ruzhen.
I've been feeling listless all day and couldn't take it anymore, so I came to this quiet little courtyard to catch up on some sleep.
Shen Zhuoyi entered the room without calling out or making a sound. He got onto the kang (a heated brick bed) and lay down next to Hao Youde, facing him directly.
She reached out and pushed him, calling out Hao Youde's nickname.
"Mao Danzi, Mao Danzi, wake up, I've come to see you..."
Hao Youde vaguely felt someone calling him, and he responded but opened his eyes in a daze.
Shen Zhuoyi grinned at him, revealing his gleaming teeth, his smile sending chills down his spine.
"Mao Danzi, it's me, Shen Jun. I've come to see you."
"God Lord? What God Lord?" Hao Youde didn't react at first.
When he rubbed his eyes and saw the person in front of him clearly, Hao Youde jumped up in surprise with a scream.
He hung himself tightly on the wall like a mural, trembling as he spoke.
"Brother...no, Brother Chen...Brother Chen! How did you find your way here? Please, spare me...I don't want to die..."
Shen Zhuoyi chuckled and sat cross-legged on the kang as if chatting casually with Hao Youde.
"Mao Danzi, you don't want to die, but I don't want to die either! The Qin family wronged me so badly, and my resentment is too strong. The King of Hell won't let me reincarnate, so I have no choice but to come and seek revenge on you!"
Hao Youde pressed himself against the wall, his eyes tightly shut, wailing in agony.
“Brother Chen, every wrong has its perpetrator, and every debt has its debtor. Go find that woman Li Fen, don’t come looking for me. She’s the one who tried to frame you, and it’s also her husband, Lao Qin, who dragged you down with him.”
"Don't blame me, I have elderly parents and young children to support. I had no choice but to lie to the factory manager... Please, please let my brother go..."
Shen Zhuoyi got up and came to Hao Youde. He opened his mouth and blew cold air into Hao Youde's ear. Instantly, Hao Youde's hair stood on end, and his body felt like it was being electrified. His legs trembled so much that he couldn't stand up straight.
Looking at his pathetic state, Shen Zhuoyi looked down on him from the bottom of his heart.
This coward has caused his father to suffer injustice for twelve years. If we don't scare him crazy today, he doesn't deserve the surname Shen.
"But I'm so hungry! My family is so poor they won't even burn paper money for me anymore. Let me eat your life force, crunch crunch..."
A crisp chewing sound reached Hao Youde's ears, startling him so much that he screamed and fled out the window as if his life depended on it.
He staggered forward, trying to run out of the house to call for help, looking back as he ran.
Shen Zhuoyi stood at the window, watching him with a sinister look, but didn't chase after him.
Hao Youde's legs buckled and he fell to the ground with a thud.
Just as he was about to get up, he saw the pair of black cloth shoes that Old Shen often wore floating in the air in front of him.
He was so frightened that his blood ran cold, and his neck stiffened like a steel plate as he slowly tilted it back.
Then another soldier appeared before him, his body riddled with bloody holes.
With a yell, Hao Youde started crawling back, but before he reached the door, Shen Jun appeared in front of him again.
Just as Shen Zhuoyi was about to say a few more threatening words, he heard a thud, and Hao Youde completely fainted.
A strong smell of urine hit him, and Shen Zhuoyi took a step back in disgust.
"Damn it, so easily frightened."
Lu Mingzheng overheard every word of their conversation inside the house, and he could roughly guess that there was definitely a grudge between them.
Moreover, it was the homeowner who knew that Shen Jun had been murdered, and he even helped the murderer's family give false testimony to frame Shen Jun.
As a former soldier, he was born with an overflowing sense of justice, and he felt he had to lend a hand when he encountered such a situation.
Moreover, pretending to be a ghost to scare people is interesting in itself. Without hesitation, Lu Mingzheng turned around and went to the car, poured out the ink he had brought for his nephew, and smeared it on his face.
He picked up a piece of black cloth from the trunk, draped it over himself, and with a feather duster in his hand, turned and went back to the courtyard.
Seeing that Hao Youde had fainted, Shen Zhuoyi and Shen Zhuohang jumped down from the gate. The two went outside to ask Jiang Ruzhen what to do next.
Jiang Ruzhen told the two brothers to change their clothes and tidy themselves up. Today's task was completed, and they shouldn't scare people to death.
The two brothers obediently went to the side to tidy up. Jiang Ruzhen turned around and inadvertently saw a dark shadow flash past not far away.
She was startled. Could someone have seen her?
Jiang Ruzhen glanced into the courtyard with unease, only to find that Hao Youde, who had been lying on the ground just moments before, was gone.
Jiang Ruzhen quickly rushed into the yard and saw Hao Youde crawling on the ground with great effort toward the backyard.
She hid behind the door to see what the old man was up to next.
Then, Hao Youde finally managed to open the back gate and was about to escape when a dark figure descended from the sky.
He was burly and fierce-looking, holding a soul-summoning banner in his hand, and let out a furious roar.
"I am Black Impermanence of the Underworld, Mao Danzi. Your lifespan has come to an end. Quickly come with me to the Underworld to report for duty!"
With a screech, Hao Youde, who was already terrified out of his wits, slumped down and convulsed again.
Lu Mingzheng's appearance startled Jiang Ruzhen. In the past, she would never have believed in such superstitious things.
But she has been reborn once, and the core inside her body is not the original one. What else can't she believe?
But Hao Youde is still useful; we can't let the Black Impermanence really take away her soul.
"Wait a minute, Lord Black Impermanence!"
Just as Lu Mingzheng was about to look down at Hao Youde, Jiang Ruzhen couldn't help but jump out and stammered, "What is your question?"
"Lord Black... Lord Black, could... could we make a deal? You could... come and summon his soul again tomorrow night. I... I wanted him to... be a witness for me tomorrow!"
Lu Mingzheng had only intended to do a good deed secretly, but he didn't expect Jiang Ruzhen to return.
He had no choice but to continue pretending to be the Black Impermanence, "I know about your family's affairs. Do you want this hairy brat to clear your family's name and exonerate Shen Jun?"
Jiang Ruzhen's heart skipped a beat. As expected of a ghost messenger from the underworld, how did he know everything? She bowed respectfully and asked.
"Yes, please do me this favor, sir."
"Alright. I agree. I'll come and arrest him tomorrow night."
After saying that, Lu Mingzheng grabbed the feather duster and ran away, afraid that if he kept up the act, he would burst out laughing.
At that time, both sides will be embarrassed.
Jiang Ruzhen looked up and saw that the Black Impermanence had disappeared, and then she breathed a sigh of relief.
Isn't it said that if the King of Hell orders someone to die at midnight, no one dares to stay until dawn?
That Black Impermanence guy was actually quite easy to talk to!
If she can't figure it out, she won't think about it. She's not familiar with the work in the underworld either. Maybe it's because Lord Hei is naturally kind!
They went up and checked under Hao Youde's nose, and found that he was still breathing.
She turned and left, not caring that Hao Youde was still lying on the ground and might be carried away by wild dogs.
When she returned to the front yard, her two sons were already there to greet her.
"Mom, where have you been?"
Jiang Ruzhen didn't say a word, grabbed her two sons, and ran ahead as if there were evil spirits chasing them.
After everyone had left, Lu Mingzheng emerged from the shadows, grinned at Jiang Ruzhen's retreating figure, revealing a mouthful of perfectly white teeth.
This woman is interesting; she actually came up with this kind of trick to deal with her enemy.
There's bound to be more excitement tomorrow, so he decided not to leave yet.
