Chapter 72 His Deeply Affectionate Analysis
Lu Mingzheng was slapped to the ground and sat there stunned for a long time before he suddenly chuckled.
Jiang Ruzhen was in a bad mood, but when she saw Lu Mingzheng's stupid, landlord-son-like appearance, she felt that it was not worth getting angry with him.
I simply rolled over and lay down facing inwards to rest, out of sight, out of mind.
"hiss--"
A sharp pain came from behind her. Jiang Ruzhen thought Lu Mingzheng was deliberately causing trouble. Shen Zhuoyi, who was on the upper bunk, suddenly stuck his head out and asked nervously.
"Uncle Lu, has your wound reopened?"
"Don't talk nonsense, I'm fine." Lu Mingzheng gently moved his body while clutching his stomach, wanting to go back to bed. Seeing this, Lao Er kicked his long legs outward and jumped down from the second-floor bed.
He supported Lu Mingzheng's body and helped him slowly move to the bed. He then lifted Lu Mingzheng's clothes to check the wound before Lu Mingzheng could stop him.
The wound had indeed reopened, and some blood was seeping through the gauze.
"What did you do?" a voice rang out above Lu Mingzheng's head.
Lu Mingzheng looked up and saw Jiang Ruzhen's tense and worried eyes. He slowly withdrew his large hand from his clothes and leaned his upper body back.
"It's nothing, I was just trying to be a hero and ran into a few thugs. I wasn't expecting them to have knives, so the stab wasn't deep, just a small wound about two centimeters long..."
Two centimeters? A small wound? Jiang Ruzhen was both worried and angry.
"Did you bring your medicine?" Jiang Ruzhen asked before he could finish speaking.
Lu Mingzheng shook his head. Jiang Ruzhen glared at him, then turned and walked out expressionlessly. "I'll go ask the train conductor."
Watching Jiang Ruzhen turn away nimbly, Lu Mingzheng felt uneasy. "Second brother, do you think your mother is angry?"
Shen Zhuoyi craned his neck to take a look. "No way, why would she be angry if you were injured? She's definitely worried about you."
Lu Mingzheng raised his hand and slapped Shen Zhuoyi on the back of the head. "How many times have I taught you? The most important thing in doing business is to learn to read people's expressions."
You need to know exactly what the other person is thinking in order to remain invincible.
"Why don't you use your brilliant brain to have babies?"
This was the first time Shen Zhuoyi had been lectured so earnestly by a male elder, and his heart stirred. He had never experienced this kind of love from his father before.
His eyes welled up with tears, and he quickly lowered his head to admit his mistake.
"I'm sorry, Uncle Lu. Please let me practice more and don't dislike me."
"What nonsense are you talking about? Even if it weren't for your mother's sake, you're still my apprentice." Lu Mingzheng patted Shen Zhuoyi's head.
He knew the child was smart and eager to learn, good at everything, but a little too sensitive.
Tears welled up in Shen Zhuoyi's eyes. He had always been the most neglected child in his family since he was a child. Although his mother had recently become nicer to him, it could make up for the lack of his childhood.
But he's a grown man now, and there are many problems that men face that he can't openly discuss with his mother.
But after he met Uncle Lu, he would occasionally talk to him about life issues, and Uncle Lu would tell him many things he didn't know before, which broadened his horizons.
This gave him a fatherly admiration for Lu Mingzheng.
In his eyes, Lu Mingzheng's image gradually overlapped with the image of courage, responsibility, and wisdom he had in mind, leaving an indelible mark on his heart.
He pursed his lips, trying to control his emotions. "Uncle Lu, why do you like my mother? She's so shrewish and domineering, with a terrible temper, not gentle at all..."
Lu Mingzheng's hands were itching again, so he vigorously rubbed Shen Zhuoyi's head, turning his hair into a messy tangled mess.
"Don't talk nonsense, your mother is a good person. Think about it carefully, she used to be a pampered young lady who was spoiled by her family."
But after your father's accident, she was not crushed by life. Despite being under immense public pressure, she was still able to raise your four children to be so successful.
It's clear she's incredibly resilient and persevering; I admire her and feel sorry for her. In my heart, she's the best woman in the world, and I want to take care of her for the rest of my life, making her life easier and happier.
She is the best mother in the world. As a man, it's your duty to protect your woman, and protecting your mother is even more so. Do you understand?
Shen Zhuoyi looked up and asked curiously, "Just like you, you fought against Xu Bin and his thugs to protect her, and didn't even tell her when you were injured. Is that what it means to be a responsible man?"
"Of course. We men stand tall and proud, we bleed and sweat but never shed tears, our scars are our medals. Why tell women? To make them worry?"
Shen Zhuoyi caught a glimpse of a dress peeking out from the carriage door out of the corner of his eye, and pressed on.
"But she misunderstood you, aren't you going to explain? It was clearly Xu Bin and his gang who wanted to kidnap my mother, and they even said they would take turns humiliating her and then sell her to that kind of filthy place after torturing her."
You couldn't help but beat them half to death. Although I've never been in a relationship, I know that good couples need to keep their mouths shut and communicate.
Don't keep everything bottled up inside; that's foolish.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Ruzhen's pupils contracted rapidly. So that's how it was. Why didn't he explain back then? Why did he look so impatient and chase her away?
He was stabbed by those scumbags because of her, yet she verbally abused him.
Jiang Ruzhen looked bewildered, unsure how to face Lu Mingzheng's feelings.
She's human too; how could she not be tempted by a man who's so outstanding in every way?
But she had more important things to do, and with such a significant secret as the Spirit Spring Space, how could she possibly live intimately under the same roof with a man?
Having been misled by Qin Lanlan in her previous life, she will no longer trust human nature, nor will she gamble her life and future on the morals of others.
She leaned her head against the carriage wall, slowly gathering all her emotions.
Lu Mingzheng stroked his chin, carefully considering Shen Zhuoyi's words. "Really? I've never been in a relationship before. Is this how men and women interact?"
Shen Zhuoyi nodded vigorously, "That's exactly it."
Lu Mingzheng pondered for a while, then suddenly felt something was wrong. He raised his hand and squeezed Shen Zhuoyi's shoulder hard.
"Wait a minute, are you kidding me? Have you ever had a girlfriend?"
Shen Zhuoyi begged for mercy in pain. Jiang Ruzhen stepped in and kicked Shen Zhuoyi.
"Get out of the way."
Shen Zhuoyi nimbly rolled away from Lu Mingzheng's grasp, grabbed the upper bunk railing, and quickly climbed up.
The space below has been left entirely empty.
Jiang Ruzhen was speechless; there was no need to be so accommodating.
She took the gauze and iodine in her hand, walked over and sat down next to Lu Mingzheng, and began to untie the bandage around his waist.
Her fingertips traced his well-defined, firm abdominal muscles, and as she wrapped the bandages, her hands would encircle his sleek and powerful waist.
