Chapter 315 Extra - Lone Wolf 3

With a "rip," the pain of flesh being torn apart brought the male boar's vision back to normal. Its violent screams pierced the forest under the night sky before abruptly ceasing.

After its spine is bitten off, the male wild boar's entire body becomes paralyzed. Its heavy breathing instantly slows down, and its life begins its countdown.

The alpha wolf, having finished its hunt, stood majestically to the side, watching coldly. The male boar lay sprawled on the ground, its warm blood flowing out. As soon as it touched the snow, the blood froze, the fresh boar blood congealing into crimson patches and streaks, as if it were the final strokes of its life.

The alpha wolf lowered its head and fiercely tore at the huge prey in front of it, its dark eyes filled with unparalleled joy and excitement. As the prey's panting subsided and its flesh began to slowly turn cold, the alpha wolf raised its head and let out a long howl.

Three male wolves approached the male wild boar and howled. Then the alpha wolf led the other three male wolves to enjoy the delicious wild boar meat first. Wild beasts fill their own bellies as soon as they hunt their prey, and only take the rest of the food away after they are full.

On the ravine, several male wolves that had been hunting sows and piglets were also enjoying their meal. Having heard the alpha wolf's triumphant howl, they naturally didn't need to go to help.

Below the ravine, the two wild boar cubs that had cleverly escaped earlier did not survive. The wolf pack that arrived from behind had already sealed off the area. It would be easy for the dozen or so young and old wolves to surround and hunt down the two escaped wild boar cubs.

With one adult male boar, one adult female boar, and four half-grown wild boar cubs, the wolf pack won a complete victory in this battle.

The wolf pack, having eaten and drunk their fill, regrouped, the male wolves dragging their remaining prey away, their load plentiful.

The wind and snow began to gradually subside in the middle of the night, and an old wolf slowly appeared behind the pack. Its withered body was hidden among the brown, tangled branches, and even the ghostly light in its eyes seemed much dimmer in comparison to the wolf pack in front of it.

The old wolf hesitated, its eyes filled with struggle and reluctance, unable to make a decision for a long time. So the old wolf followed the pack across a hillside, seemingly lost in thought. Just as it was about to continue following, the pack stopped.

"Awooo!" The alpha wolf roared angrily, a sound of expulsion and disgust.

The wolves turned around, their cold gazes fixed on the old wolf hiding in the distance. Protecting their prey, their tough stance clearly told the old wolf that there would be no leftovers for it.

Looking at its familiar companion, the old wolf couldn't help but feel sad. It lowered its head and let out a series of pitiful whimpers.

After receiving the message from the old wolf, the angry alpha wolf hesitated for a moment, its eyes showing hesitation. But the female wolf beside it suddenly barked and stepped out of the pack, approaching the old wolf.

The alpha wolf did not stop her; it watched as the mother wolf approached the older wolf, waiting for her confirmation and decision.

A glimmer of hope appeared in the old wolf's eyes. It approached the mother wolf step by step, then lowered its head and put something down before quickly retreating.

The mother wolf looked at the tiny tuft of gray fur on the snow-white ground, a hint of gentleness in her eyes. She approached, lowered her head and sniffed it softly. Then, she raised her head and looked at the old wolf with a touch of pity in her eyes.

The mother wolf turned away without hesitation, refusing the old wolf's request. The alpha wolf howled and led the pack away quickly.

The old wolf howled anxiously behind the pack, its cries filled with pleading and desolation, but the pack never turned back.

The snowflakes suddenly became denser again, and the white snow gently fell on the old wolf's body, quickly turning its thin body white.

It looked in the direction the wolf pack had left, silently turned around, picked out the small tuft of gray fur buried by the snowflakes, and gradually disappeared into the night.
