Chapter 315 Extra - Lone Wolf 3

At this critical moment, the appearance of a group of wild boars is undoubtedly a godsend. Even a small group of wild boars can greatly alleviate the wolf pack's food crisis and help the wolf pack survive the first hurdle of the cold winter.

The alpha wolf led several large male wolves in a charge ahead. The number of prey had been determined, and they knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so they didn't hesitate or be cautious.

The wolves climbed the slope, their eerie lights flickering in the snowy night. Several large male wolves charged up the ditch, ready to hunt down the herd of pigs.

With a leap, the alpha wolf appeared on the ditch, its strong and powerful figure sweeping across the area. In an instant, the alpha wolf fixed its gaze on the larger sow, and the other male wolves charged forward as well. The wild boars, under attack, were immediately awakened and howled.

The two baby wild boars sleeping on the side had been pinned down in the ditch by the male wolf and could not turn over. The mother pig panicked and tried to get up and escape but could not. Only the two baby wild boars cleverly darted out and escaped the attack of four wild wolves.

Even the largest male wild boar couldn't escape the attack of the wolves. Three wolves worked together to trap it, attacking and retreating intermittently, avoiding direct confrontation with the strong boar. The two baby boars were quickly killed by the two wolves, and the alpha wolf also injured the sow's hind leg, waiting for her to collapse from exhaustion.

For a moment, the high-pitched and mournful squeals of pigs echoed in the mountain wind. The dark sky coldly watched over all things in the forest, showing no pity for the mournful cries of pigs.

The alpha wolf handed over the pursuit of the sow to the other male wolves and then headed towards the boar. The boar was unexpectedly large and incredibly strong. The three male wolves could not inflict fatal damage on it, and even minor cuts and bruises were rare. It was quite remarkable that they were able to stop the boar in this forest.

The pig's hooves clattered against the rocks beneath the snow, creating a scattered sound. The massive boar, its tusks bristling, struggled to break free from the attack of three male wolves, attempting to escape. No matter how pitiful the pigs' squeals were behind it, it remained undistracted, for it knew clearly that the wolf attack had only just begun. The wolves, organized by their pack, were trying to surround and kill the entire family of pigs!

It must break through the wolf pack's encirclement before it has a chance of survival!

Seeing the alpha wolf charging towards him, the boar disregarded the risk of injury. It tensed its body, its long mane fluttering in the wind, determined to break through the wolves blocking its path and carve out a way to escape!

"Howl—howl!"

A deep, powerful roar exploded out, and the boar charged fiercely towards the attacking male wolf.

The attacking male wolf did not dodge; it had to face the charge head-on, or its prey would surely escape the encirclement!

The male wolf extended its forepaws and leaped to meet the male boar, its sharp tusks bared and its fierce gaze icy cold. In terms of momentum, the boar was not afraid of a wolf, but at this moment, the male boar was focused on escaping and lacked a bit of courage. Faced with the wolf's bloodthirsty gaze, it couldn't help but feel a little hesitant. This slight difference made its charge weaker and its direction slightly off.

The wolf, moving at breakneck speed, quickly approached the male boar. With a push of its hind legs, the wolf nimbly twisted its body to avoid the boar's deadly tusks. Then, with a swipe of its claws, it struck the male boar's head squarely.

"Awooo!" A shrill howl followed as blood trickled from the corner of his eye. The male boar, whose eyes had escaped death, didn't even have time to feel relieved before he heard a stomping sound behind him, followed by a heavy weight pressing down on him.

The alpha wolf pounced!

The wild boar's skin was rough, its tough muscles were right in front of it, and its black and white bristles were like armor. This was not a defense that could be easily broken through by wolf claws, but wolf teeth were very effective. The alpha wolf's canine teeth instantly pierced through the male wild boar's spine.

Wild boars have thick necks and strong defenses, making it difficult for wolves to grab and bite them without an absolute advantage in strength. In such a tense moment of attack, reaching the wild boar's throat is also extremely difficult, and forcibly locking its throat might even result in being injured by the boar's tusks. Faced with such tough prey, wolves and other fierce beasts that kill with their tusks often choose to attack their spines.

Wild boars have spines on their backs, and predators particularly like the slightly raised area behind their ears. When attacking from behind, the boar's front paws can hold its body in place, preventing it from shaking off its attacker immediately. Then, it can easily tear apart the spine behind the ear.

But the moment the wolf's fangs pierced the flesh, the male boar let out a miserable howl, its massive body making a sharp turn. The alpha wolf landed smoothly as it was thrown out, as if it had been prepared. It never intended to keep biting the boar indefinitely; for such a behemoth, it was more worthwhile to inflict enough damage and then wait for it to die from exhaustion.

In that brief moment, the three male wolves surrounded them again. The male boar, driven mad by the pain, charged wildly once more, crashing into the oncoming wolves. The male wolves, not daring to face a crazed boar head-on, dodged past them, letting the boar rampage forward.

The power unleashed by a behemoth weighing three hundred kilograms is extremely strong. Male wild boars are not pigs lying in farms, but wild animals that live in bushes and high slopes and trek through snow. The power they possess is no less than that of large beasts.

The alpha wolf and the three male wolves followed the male boar without hesitation, chasing it from a distance. They would occasionally run up to the boar's side and attack it, causing the boar's wounds to worsen and drawing even more blood from the large tear behind its ear.

Soon, the male boar, which had been thrown less than 500 meters, suddenly felt a blur before its eyes, and all its strength vanished as if it had been drained. Having lost too much blood, the male boar fell to the snow with a thud. In its hazy state, the male boar seemed to see the female boar and four piglets. Its small eyes were glazed over, and it grunted and howled. Before it could utter a sound, a gaping maw bit into the wound on its spine.
