Chapter Ninety-Four: Big Chicken Leg

Cuizhen glanced at An Yuan'er, then ran to An Huishou and said, "Brother, let me help you with that."

An nodded in agreement and handed a lighter one to Cuizhen.

An Yuan'er also wanted to help: "Brother, I want some too."

An Huaishou patted Yuan'er's head: "Yuan'er, you can't lift it."

Cuizhen was used to farm work, so she was naturally stronger than Anyuan, who was the same age.

An Yuan'er was a little disappointed, but she didn't make a fuss. She just responded softly, "Alright. Then Yuan'er will sit still and wait for dinner."

Cuizhen smiled secretly; as expected, her brother liked her more.

The table at the Yan family's house wasn't big, but it was just big enough for everyone to sit down.

The two little sisters sat together.

An Huaishou knew that his younger sister was pampered and worried that she wouldn't be used to the food, so he carefully picked up a big chicken leg and put it in her bowl: "Yuan'er, this place is not like Shengjing, there are no delicacies here, but these are all made by your brother. Try them."

After being reborn, An Yuan'er was finally able to eat the big chicken leg that her brother picked up with his own hands. She was happy and had a smile on her face.

“Yuan’er isn’t that spoiled. Besides, Yuan’er loves everything her brother makes.”

An Yuan'er was about to put the chicken leg into her mouth when she inadvertently saw Cui Zhen out of the corner of her eye. She noticed that Cui Zhen had been looking down, her hands moving the chopsticks helplessly, and she would occasionally glance at the chicken leg.

An Yuan'er suddenly realized that in this family, her brother must have given all the good things to Cuizhen.

An Yuan'er looked reluctantly at the chicken leg her brother had picked up, then placed it in Cui Zhen's bowl.

"In ancient times, there was Kong Rong who shared pears. Yuan'er should also learn from him; the biggest chicken leg should be given to the youngest sister." An Yuan'er found an excuse to give the chicken leg to Cuizhen.

An Huaishou was surprised by how sensible his younger sister was, and his eyes were full of doting affection for her.

So he cooperated with An Yuan'er and said, "It's because the older brother didn't think things through. Then the younger sister will eat first."

Cuizhen thought: Sure enough, this big chicken leg still belongs to me.

Children don't know how to hide their emotions. Cuizhen gnawed on a chicken leg, deliberately eating loudly, as if she were declaring something.

An Huaishou picked out other delicious food for An Yuan'er. An Yuan'er couldn't bear to refuse her brother's kindness, because the last time she ate food picked by her brother was in her previous life.

It was An Huai's first time meeting her younger sister, and she didn't know how much she could eat, so she gave her a lot of food.

An Yuan'er ate too much; her tummy was so bloated that she could barely walk.

Aunt Yan really liked this cute and sensible little girl, praising her, "Being able to eat is a blessing. Miss An looks like she's blessed."

An Yuan'er smiled sheepishly and shyly.

The meal went fairly well. After the meal, An went to wash the dishes, and Cuizhen followed behind him, saying she wanted to help her brother wash the dishes.

Knowing her destructive nature, An Yuan'er didn't join in the fun to avoid causing trouble for Aunt Yan's family. Instead, she went for a walk to digest her food.

Strolling through the fields, breathing in the fresh air, An Yuan'er washed her face with the cool river water, feeling refreshed and invigorated.

She thought that if nothing else came of it in the future, settling down in such a beautiful place would be a wonderful thing.

The boy next door had never seen such a pretty little girl before, and he invited her to play together.

Unexpectedly, this little girl was not only beautiful but also incredibly cute. An Yuan'er quickly became friends with Er Niu, and they sat on the ground playing marbles together.

An Yuan'er always lost when she played for the first time.

But the boys all liked her and fought over who would give her marbles to keep playing.

An Yuan'er was having a great time, but for some reason, she felt as if a familiar gaze was watching her...
