Chapter 103 Give me some more (2/2)

Shen Xianjun spoke up with great pleasure.

"Yeah, thanks to your mother, you've finished your advanced studies?"

Er Shun's father also sat down.

"Yes, where's my second brother?"

Shen Xianjun even took a moment to go to the courtyard to take a look, but didn't see anyone.

"Er Shun and Qing Mei went to school and will be back for lunch."

"Er Shun went to school?"

Shen Xianjun couldn't believe that everyone was working so hard to improve their studies.

"Yes, the doctor said that learning more is good for his brain, and with Qingmei taking care of him, we are all at ease. He even got a perfect score on the last exam. He wasn't this smart when he was in school."

Er Shun's father smiled happily; he had given up smoking ever since he was injured.

"Then I'll wait until noon to see my second brother before I leave. Grandpa and Grandma, is there anything I can help you with?"

It's too late to buy the items now, so I'll just buy weird stuff.

"No need, no need. Your uncle and I are already quite adept at it. If you're free, go back and help your mother. Come over for dinner tonight."

Gui Xiang waved her hand, thinking that she would hurry up and buy some vegetables later.

“My mother helped my mother-in-law take care of the child today, so she went with her. She’s not home, so I’m helping you with the laundry.”

Shen Xianjun rolled up his sleeves and lifted the entire steamer. Gui Xiang stopped him when she saw this. Er Shun's father followed to help wash the food, while Gui Xiang prepared the ingredients for lunch.

Now, I prepare the dough for making steamed buns before going to bed at night, and then in the morning, when I'm steaming the buns, I knead the dough for the noodles I need for the day and let it rest in a bowl.

By noon, the dough had already risen. They could sell as much as possible at noon and finish early in the evening, resulting in a stable daily income. There was a well in the yard, and since there were few people around at noon, the dough could be placed in a basin and hung in the well without turning sour.

After washing and cleaning, it was already noon when everything was finished. Shen Xianjun felt like he hadn't even sat down yet when the elderly folks started greeting guests again.

"Second Brother, Qingmei."

"Hello, Third Uncle!"

Qingmei led Ershun back, excitedly calling out to everyone.

"Okay, Second Brother, I am Xianjun."

Er Shun originally wanted to call him Third Uncle like Qing Mei, but after hearing Shen Xianjun's words, he tentatively spoke up.

"The current military?"

"right!"

"Eat quickly, we'll be busy soon."

Er Shun's father placed two bowls of noodles on the table.

Shen Xianjun thought he was already busy enough, and wondered if he would be even busier later?

Upon hearing about food, Ershun immediately pulled everyone to sit at the table, and noodles were placed in front of all three of them.

As the three of them were eating, the number of people in the restaurant visibly increased.

Er Shun ate the fastest. Before Qing Mei even put down her bowl, Er Shun had already gotten up to clear the table.

"Third Uncle, I'm going to help."

Qingmei also sped up, drank the soup from the bowl, and then squatted in the basin in the backyard to wash the dishes so that there wouldn't be enough bowls later.

Shen Xianjun has a good memory and helped deliver the cooked noodles to the guests' table.

When there were fewer people around, Qingmei and Ershun had somehow left.

"They rushed off to school, otherwise they would have been late in the afternoon. They must be exhausted."

Gui Xiang poured a bowl of water for Shen Xianjun.
