Hu Jun spoke slowly.
"It's not like I'm making this for just you. Aren't you going to pick up Jung-ho? This is the direction to the orphanage."
When Shen Xianjun spoke, Hu Jun paused, then turned around.
"I forgot."
Hu Jun spoke nonchalantly. When the two arrived at the elementary school gate, there were actually no children there to pick them up, so there was no fear of them getting lost.
However, it's also a good opportunity to check on the children's daily lives.
Hu Jun's gaze swept across the playground, then landed on Hu Zhenghao hanging from a branch of a large tree, and he suddenly felt a tickle in his hand.
"Oh dear, why is the child climbing the tree? This persimmon tree is growing quite well."
Shen Xianjun suddenly blurted out.
Hu Zhenghao never expected his biological father to come to the school, let alone that his biological father would come with his uncle and catch him red-handed climbing a tree to pick fruit.
But he had already climbed the tree and picked the fruit, so there was no way he would throw it away. He had promised his younger brother that he would bring them persimmons to eat. The persimmons on this tree at their school were delicious, but it was too tall.
The teachers were all in a meeting, and their last class in the afternoon was free time, which gave him the opportunity to climb the tree.
His father can't get into the school now, so he still has a chance.
Hu Zhenghao carried the fruit down from the tree, carefully put it in his schoolbag, and then walked to the door, standing behind the gate.
"Uncle, could you hold this for me first? Otherwise, if my dad breaks it when he beats me, I'll have to give it to my younger brothers."
Upon hearing this, Shen Xianjun took the bag and looked at Hu Jun.
"Hmph, you miss your old man so much? I'll deal with you when we get home."
Even though they're out in the world and his son is grown up, Hu Jun still wants to save face for his child.
Hu Zhenghao glanced at his father, whose face practically screamed "I don't know!"
The school bell rang, and Hu Zhenghao came out of the gate. The three of them went to the orphanage to pick up their children.
Wang Xing and the twins were already eagerly waiting.
“Good brother, here, eat up. This is what your older brother traded for a meal of bamboo shoots and pork. You must remember how good your older brother is to you.”
Hu Zhenghao looked determined, but he didn't hesitate to hand over the fruit. He was going to get beaten up anyway, and he had already finished his homework. Finishing the beating early wouldn't interfere with watching cartoons.
"I didn't say I was going to beat you up."
After thinking for a moment, Hu Jun decided to offer an explanation.
"real?"
Hu Zhenghao looked pleasantly surprised.
"Alright, your two grandmothers are waiting for you to come home for dinner."
"Yay! Let's go home!"
The children, clutching their fruit, weren't in a hurry to eat it; instead, they chattered happily all the way home.
Two elderly fathers followed behind their child.
After the meal, the two grown men cleaned up the table.
"Tomorrow we'll go get some boards and rebuild the desk and bookshelves for the kids."
Hu Jun spoke to Shen Xianjun.
“My mom brought it up last night.”
Shen Xianjun swept up the trash.
“We won’t let the elderly work hard at home. These days we’re taking a look at what’s missing or needs tidying up. We can’t wait until it gets cold to realize it.”
That's what I'm planning to do too.
"Okay, let's go early tomorrow morning, so I can take my mom and Aunt Yang to the department store."
Professor Wen has no classes tomorrow and was thinking of buying some things, so he mentioned it to Hu Jun.
