Chapter 106 More Comfortable Than at Home (1/2)

"Da Bao, Er Bao! I'm here!"

Wang Xing spotted Da Bao and Er Bao from afar and excitedly ran over, leaving his parents far behind.

"Brother Wang Xing, look, this is for you!"

Da Bao pointed to the snowman that the two brothers had made together.

"This is Zhenghao, this is you, this is me and my younger brother. We're going to continue being grandma, maternal grandma, and also dad, mom, uncle, and so many more!"

"Me too! Me too!"

Wang Xing immediately squatted down to help. Xiao Bao was digging in the snow with a gourd-shaped spoon. He was already covered in snow, but he was having a great time.

When Wang Xing's parents came over, they saw several snowballs piled up around the three children, as well as several snowmen the size of gourds.

Looking at the tools in the children's hands, it was a small water ladle made by cutting a gourd in half. Snow was put in, pressed down, and then tapped out, and it was exactly gourd-shaped.

Wang Xing only remembered why he had come when his parents got closer.

"Da Bao and Er Bao, I can be with you two from now on!"

Wow! That's great!

Da Bao shouted happily, and Er Bao's eyes also lit up. The two of them stopped building a snowman and pulled Wang Xing home.

"Grandma! Grandma! Brother Wang Xing!"

Da Bao's voice always precedes the person's.

"Wang Xing is here. Have you eaten breakfast? Brush the snow off yourself, or your clothes will get wet when it melts."

Yang Yufen took a handkerchief and brushed the snow off the three children.

"aunt."

Wang Xing's parents spoke up, carrying some things in their hands.

"Come inside quickly."

Yang Yufen called out to them, turned around and grabbed a few bowls. With a couple of quick cracks, she put a few eggs in the bowls, poured water from the kettle over them, and in two minutes, several bowls of ginger soup with eggs were ready.

"Be careful, it's hot. Drink it slowly to dispel the cold."

Yang Yufen put the kettle back on the stove.

"Thank you, Auntie. These things are for you, as well as Xingxing's clothes. I'll be troubling you for the next month."

Wang Xing's father quickly took the items out.

The bag contained milk powder, malted milk powder, canned food, dried seaweed and fish, and a whole bunch of other things, along with rice, flour, and a large piece of meat.

"Knowing that you have eggs at home, we didn't buy any. Xingxing has told us that he eats very well here, so we bought some of what the children usually eat. Please accept them."

When Wang Xing's mother saw the steaming hot egg tea, she felt a mix of warmth and sadness. Even strangers knew that when guests came to visit, they would serve hot tea, but when she took her children back to her parents' home, she always had to see the food before she could even have a sip of water.

I didn't realize it then, but this comparison made the memory clear. Looking at my uninhibited son, sitting in a row with the twins, blowing on the egg tea and sipping it slowly with a spoon, he was so carefree.

"Okay, stay for lunch. I've made the dough, so we can make dumplings today."

Yang Yufen didn't refuse. She looked at the things and then at the happy child.

"Thank you, ma'am. I'll help you out. I may not be a great cook, but I can still chop vegetables and mince fillings."

Wang Xing's mother quickly spoke up.

"I can start a fire."

Wang Xing's father thought about it for a moment.

"Okay, let's drink the egg tea first."

Yang Yufen didn't refuse. She was indeed planning to make dumplings today, and they were all frozen. She wanted to make a lot and freeze them so that they would be convenient to eat whenever she wanted.

The fennel I grew has all been harvested. Today I'm going to make fennel and lamb, sauerkraut and pork, and chive and egg dishes.

"These vegetables are so fresh!"

Wang Xing's father walked into the kitchen and exclaimed when he saw the fresh-looking vegetables.

"We grew it ourselves and built a shed."

"Auntie, you're amazing! No wonder your child is so well raised!"
