"Isn't it the same in your military region?"
Dean Hu still didn't understand what was going on.
"Well, it's not convenient for me here. It's more convenient at the research institute. I'll tell you when I get back tonight."
Hu Jun hung up the phone. He had other things to do, but he just happened to be here. Luckily, it was him who came over.
As for telling Shen Xianjun, that's impossible; everyone has been sent out on missions.
Shen Xianjun and his men lay prone in the grass. His mission this time was to capture a group of armed bandits who were robbing a caravan. This matter had become too serious, from initially intercepting private cargo to now daring to even target public cargo.
The fact that bandits dare to do this and have been doing it for so long means they must be protected by someone behind the scenes, which is why they are so rampant. There are special people in charge of catching corrupt officials, but of course, it is them who are in charge of catching thugs.
"Hurry up, hurry up! Why are your noodles different from Grandma's? They're too thick!"
Li Wen looked at the noodles in Li Wu's hand with great disdain.
"Come on, come on, you'll see once you try."
Li Wu handed the document over to Li Wen.
Liwen tried it out, but if he stretched it too thin, the noodles would break, and if he stretched it too thick, they would be too coarse. He had to knead them into a ball again and start over.
"I'll give it a try."
Hu Zhenghao also came over to help, but they couldn't pull it up; they couldn't pull it up even a little bit by hand.
"How about we put it on the cutting board and rub it?"
Wang Xing suggested.
"It really works!"
Li Wu watched as Hu Zhenghao tried it. The noodles were no longer so thick and they were longer, but after a while, the noodles stuck together.
Is it too wet?
Wang Xing touched his chin.
"Then add some flour."
Hu Zhenghao reached out and grabbed some flour. The noodles were indeed less likely to stick together, but they were also hard and difficult to knead.
Add water, add flour, and before you know it, a whole basin of it has been made.
"What should we do?"
Li Wu and his companions were a bit dumbfounded.
Li Wen scratched his head, not even noticing the flour stuck in his hair.
"I remember Grandma saying that adding oil would prevent the scallion pancakes from sticking together. There's too much dough here, so I'll take out a piece and try adding oil. I think Grandma said the dough needs to rest before kneading it. Is it because it didn't rest?"
After thinking it over carefully, Li Wen spoke up, and the group tried again. To their surprise, it actually worked.
"Although it was a bit of a hassle, it really stopped sticking and stretched out for a really long time."
Li Wu looked excitedly at the noodles in the bowl.
"What about these?"
Wang Xing pointed to the large bowl of noodles.
"Make it into steamed buns?"
Li Wu thought for a moment and then spoke, before being tapped on the head.
"Without adding the old yeast, the steamed dough will turn out like a bunch of unleavened lumps."
Hu Zhenghao spoke in an annoyed tone.
"Let's make pancakes then. Just put on plenty of oil, and you can eat them any way you want since it's a non-stick pan."
Li Wen thought for a moment and then spoke.
"Sure, roll it out into a thin sheet and make pancakes. If necessary, we can roll it up with vegetables and eat it. We can't waste food."
Hu Zhenghao agreed, and the group covered the noodles with the batter before starting to make the pancakes.
Hu Zhenghao was the oldest and was in charge of making pancakes, Liwen was in charge of tending the fire, and Liwu and Wang Xing rolled out the dough.
The first one was a little burnt, but there was a lot of oil, so it didn't stick to the pan. Liwen took a look and turned the heat down a bit.
"The burnt parts smell pretty good too."
After working hard all day, Li Wu was hungry, so he didn't hesitate to tear off a piece of the first pancake and put it in his mouth to eat.
The group shared and finished off the burnt food.
"It's quite delicious."
Wang Xing nodded in agreement.
