Chapter 79 Moving Out (1/2)

"I've bought the tickets to go back. I'll be leaving with the doctors from the city early the day after tomorrow. I'll have to leave Guixiang and the others in your care."

The captain said to Yang Yufen.

"Okay, my place is all set up. It has two rooms, so I can stay there for the next couple of days. I can cook for myself. Does the doctor have a place to stay?"

"I don't know yet, the doctor went into the operating room with him."

The accompanying doctor naturally didn't want to miss such a rare learning opportunity, as surgery also requires understanding the patient's condition, and thus their presence is also necessary.

After paying the money, Shen Xianjun stayed outside the operating room.

His father died early, and his mother was busy earning work points. He also knew that his grandmother always liked to cause trouble for his mother, so he always liked to go out and run around. His uncle treated him very well and called him Third Boy. Although they were not from the same family, he gave him fatherly love.

He was afraid of seeing his grandmother and mother in the same state when he married Qin Nian, so he didn't let his mother come. He just didn't expect that he would disappear for so long right after getting married and going on a mission.

Qin Nian picked up her child after get off work and returned home. No one was home, but there was food left in the pot.

"The surgery went relatively smoothly, but we'll have to see how things go afterward."

Zhou Ang came out of the operating room.

"That's good, that's good."

Yang Yufen breathed a sigh of relief, and Guixiang's legs went weak and she knelt on the ground. Yang Yufen quickly helped her up.

"It's alright, it's alright."

Yang Yufen quickly comforted her.

"As long as I survive, I'm not afraid of being crippled or paralyzed, I really..."

Gui Xiang buried her face in Yang Yufen's shoulder and started crying. Yang Yufen gently patted Gui Xiang's back.

Zhou Ang listened from the side. For injuries like this, lameness or paralysis are the most common sequelae. If the patient's family can accept it, then it was worth it for them to save the person.

"Mom, take Auntie home first. I'll take care of her here."

Shen Xianjun spoke.

"No need, no need, I can take care of it. Your mother said you were injured before, and you are still recovering."

"Auntie, I'm fine. I'll just lie down wherever I am."

Shen Xianjun persisted.

"Let him stay. He just had surgery and is still unconscious and can't do much. I'll take you back first so the captain can find a place to rest. I'll bring you back tomorrow."

It would be more convenient for Shen Xianjun to handle some of the procedures, and the money is all in Shen Xianjun's hands anyway.

The accompanying doctor also came out and stayed directly in the hospital dormitory, without Yang Yufen having to make any arrangements.

Yang Yufen first took the two to a house outside the family compound.

“When the brigade leader goes back, you can stay here. It will be convenient for you to take care of the father and son. It’s not convenient for them to go straight home after being discharged from the hospital. It would be bad if they didn’t recover properly and developed chronic illnesses.”

"This will be such a hassle for you."

"Don't be so polite, Captain. I've put rice, noodles, and vegetables inside. Just cook whatever you like. Oh, and remember to cook the meat in it, or it will spoil."

After Yang Yufen finished speaking, she took Guixiang home to her family compound.

"Mom, Aunt Guixiang, have you eaten yet?"

“This is my daughter-in-law Niannian, Dabao and Erbao, who call Guixiang Grandma.”

Yang Yufen greeted the two children.

Grandma Guixiang

"Oh, good children, Grandma didn't bring you anything either."

Gui Xiang couldn't help but feel awkward.

“You sent so much cotton to the children; their winter clothes and bedding were all made from the cotton you sent.”

Yang Yufen offered words of comfort.

"Niannian, you put the baby to sleep. Your aunt and I will just make some noodles for you. You have to go to work tomorrow."
