Chapter 79 Moving Out (2/2)

"Yes, no need to bother."

Gui Xiang quickly spoke up.

“This courtyard is really nice, and your daughter-in-law is also a good one. You are truly blessed.”

Gui Xiang couldn't help but sigh.

“That’s right. I didn’t even have to ask. Niannian took out the money on her own initiative, saying that saving lives was the priority. Let’s eat something first, and I’ll get you some clothes to take a bath later.”

When the two lay on the same bed, Gui Xiang couldn't help but sigh, unable to fall asleep.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm thinking about how to pay it back, and what to do in the future."

Now that the person has been rescued, it's time to consider practical issues.

"Don't worry, making money now is much easier than earning work points back then. I'll take you with me later. I was planning to go back to see you in a few days, but I didn't expect this accident to happen."

"I've already gone to so much trouble for you."

"Aren't we still old sisters? When I was going through such a tough time, you helped me out."

"Thank goodness you're here, otherwise I..."

Gui Xiang covered her face, not wanting to cry, but she couldn't help it.

The captain left with the doctor, and on the third day, the man finally woke up, but his condition was not good.

"My second brother's IQ is now like that of a seven or eight-year-old child, but once he recovers, his hands and feet will return to normal. My uncle's foot injury is more serious, and he will need to use crutches in the future. As for his hands, he can't lift heavy objects and can't do farm work."

Shen Xianjun spoke with difficulty.

"It's alright, it's alright."

As Guixiang spoke, her hands trembled.

"The doctor also said that maybe medical technology will be better in the future, or maybe one day the blood clot in my second brother's brain will dissolve and he may return to normal."

However, no one dares to say for sure that such a probability is true.

"It's good that you're alive, and that you have all your limbs intact. That's already quite good."

Gui Xiang, in turn, comforted Shen Xianjun.

"Old man, you should recover well. Our son still needs us."

Gui Xiang held her husband's hand. She was afraid that the person she had finally managed to save might do something rash. As an old married couple, they knew each other's thoughts best.

"Okay, don't worry, I won't do anything rash. The family is counting on you."

The eldest son in the family is married and has two children. The second son's family only has one daughter, but given the second son's situation, his wife may not be willing to stay.

Yang Yufen didn't say anything; there was no point in saying anything at this point.

After the captain left, Gui Xiang, unwilling to let Shen Xianjun continue helping at the hospital, sent him home.

Several days later, the family sat down together for a meal again.

"Niannian, Mom has something she wants to discuss with you."

After finishing her meal, Yang Yufen stopped Niannian, who was about to clear the dishes, and said something.

"Mom, you tell me."

Qin Nian sat down again.

“I was originally planning to help you raise the children a bit before moving out, but now that you, Aunt Guixiang, are in this situation, I want to move out sooner. But don’t worry, Mom is just outside the family compound, in the same house we used to live in.”

"Mom's moving out? Why?"

Qin Nian never expected her mother-in-law to pass away; it was all too sudden for her.

“I was thinking of helping you, Aunt Guixiang, do business. There’s so much money, and there will be even more places where we’ll need it in the future. We’re just toiling in the fields from dawn till dusk, and no matter how frugal we are, it’s never enough.”

"Does Mom want to start a business? Then she doesn't need to move out, does she?"

Qin Nian didn't find anything strange about her mother-in-law's business dealings.
