Then, the camera pans down, and all you can hear is, "Immediately seal off the lab! Immediately seal off the lab!" This is followed by the piercing sound of a flashing red alarm in the video.
The video stopped there.
The sudden zombie-like scene made Xia He and Xiao Lin tremble slightly, their eyes filled with worry about the unknown. In the silence of the laboratory, the frozen scene seemed to exude an eerie and unsettling atmosphere.
"It looks like this laboratory has been breached!" Xiao Lin said in a deep voice.
"Ling Feng!" Xia He exclaimed.
Xiao Lin immediately picked up his communicator, preparing to call Ling Feng. However, at the same moment, Xiao Lin's communicator rang. "Boss, my car has been attacked by an unknown creature. It looks like a person! But it's not human! It's much more terrifying than a human!"
"Run back to the base immediately, and don't open the base gate!" Xiao Lin said in a deep voice.
Then, he called on Haidong, "Immediately turn the helicopter around! Return to base from the top!"
Immediately afterwards, Xiao Lin grabbed Xia He and ran out of the laboratory!
However, before they even left the laboratory, Xiao Lin and Xia He heard a sound like "Heh! Heh! Heh!", like the low growl of an animal or the babbling of a human.
Suddenly, a humanoid monster rushed towards Xiao Lin and Xia He!
The monster lunged forward with incredible speed, and Xia He and Xiao Lin reacted immediately, scattering to avoid it.
"Watch out!" Xiao Lin warned, swinging his weapon to try and fend off the sudden threat. The monster was swift and difficult to spot in the darkness.
Xia He quickly dodged, deftly avoiding the monster's attacks. She gripped her weapon tightly, vigilantly scanning her surroundings, trying to find the monster's weakness.
"Don't get bitten! Be careful!" Xia He exclaimed.
Gradually, more and more zombie-like monsters appeared. Xia He wanted to use her flying technique to take Xiao Lin out, but the height inside the laboratory was not high enough and there were too many zombies, so they couldn't get out at all!
Xia He and Xiao Lin observed something during their battle with the zombies: severing a zombie's head renders it incapable of fighting. This became the key to their escape from the laboratory.
"Xia He, focus your attacks on their heads!" Xiao Lin shouted. They cooperated seamlessly, aiming at the necks of each zombie and severing their heads as quickly as possible.
Xia He brandished her weapon, nimbly dodging the zombies' attacks; each aim was a fatal blow. Xiao Lin, on the other hand, wielded his weapon with immense strength and precision, rendering the zombies unable to retaliate.
With their heads falling to the ground, each zombie fell into a state of weakness after losing its head, ceasing its attack on Xia He and Xiao Lin. This gave them a chance to catch their breath.
