Without further ado, Xia He used her phone to send a short message to Xiao Lin via the base's network, briefly mentioning that Xiao Hua had woken up and that she was planning to take Xiao Hua and the two little ones out for a stroll and collect some supplies.
Of course, this earned her Xiao Lin's disapproval. Xia He then said, "I have my own choices. I'm only telling you because we're a couple. I didn't really need to tell you." After saying that, she didn't wait for Xiao Lin's reply, took Xiao Hua, called the two little ones, and went out.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw that Ayin had also opened her door, seemingly waiting for Xiahe. Ayin immediately asked, "Sister, are you going out?"
Xia He glanced at A Yin and said, "I'm going to take a walk outside the base."

Xiao Hua looked A Yin up and down, while A Yin looked at Xiao Hua with timid eyes. From Xia He's perspective, 16-year-old A Yin seemed weak and helpless in front of 3-year-old Xiao Hua.
Xia He shook her head, completely ignoring the invisible battle between the two, and led the two people and two dogs out of the base in a blatant manner. As expected, Xiao Lin appeared when they were almost at the gate. "Xia He!" Xiao Lin called out to Xia He, but he didn't know what to say when he looked at her, because he knew that it would be futile for him to say anything. Xia He had her own ideas.
So all that was left to say was, "Be careful." Xia He nodded, then turned and left the base.

After crossing the wall, Xia He took out an off-road vehicle and asked A Yin, "Can you drive?" A Yin looked at it and shook her head. "I can't drive, but I can learn. Can you teach me?"
Xia He looked at A Yin and thought A Yin was extremely well-behaved, so she readily agreed, "Okay, you sit in the passenger seat and watch. Maybe you'll learn it as you watch."
When Xiaohua heard that Ayin wanted to sit in the front passenger seat, she immediately became unhappy! "No! I want to sit in the front passenger seat!"

Xia He didn't tolerate the "objection being invalid."
And so, Xiaohua and the two little ones squeezed into the back seat, while Ayin sat in the front passenger seat with stars in her eyes.
Xia He got into the driver's seat and turned on the headlights. This polar night was exceptionally long, and she didn't know how much longer it would be. "It won't be dark forever, will it?" Xia He muttered to herself. After the vehicle left the vicinity of the base, the visibility dropped visibly. There was no light anywhere, and no moon or stars in the night sky. The only thing visible was the area illuminated by the headlights.
Although Xia He's vision was extraordinary, there were still obstacles in the pitch-black night sky. Fortunately, A Yin spoke up in time, "Sister, be careful, there's an obstacle to your left."
Xia He asked in surprise, "Ayin, you can see the road clearly?"
Ayin scratched her head sheepishly, "Well... my vision is probably fine."
Xia He laughed and said, "That's great! Since there aren't any mutated animals or zombies around here, I'll teach you how to drive! How about you drive from now on?"
Ayin thought it was wonderful, nodding vigorously, her eyes sparkling as she stared straight at Xiahe.
“This car is actually very easy to drive. The left side is the brake and the right side is the accelerator. Stepping on the brake stops you and stepping on the accelerator moves you forward. The gears are also very convenient. See these buttons?” Xia He pointed to a bunch of buttons on the steering wheel. A Yin nodded, “I see them.”
"Okay, P is for parking, R is for reversing, N is for neutral, and D is for driving. The others aren't important, just know these buttons. And this is for turning on the lights." Xia He pointed to the handle on the left. "Just push it, it's very simple. Try it, I'll let you drive."
Without a doubt, Ayin got in and the two switched places. One dared to drive, and the other dared to sit. "Step on the brake first, then press forward, and use the steering wheel to control left and right. Let's go."
Xia He immediately told A Yin to get on the road. Xiao Hua and the two little ones sat in the back seat, their eyes fixed on A Yin, their hearts pounding in their throats. However, Xia He was quite relaxed and even took out some milk tea to drink. She then asked Xiao Hua and A Yin if they wanted some. However, with one person focused on driving and the other keeping a close eye on the driver, the two dared not move at all.
"Hey, don't worry, it's okay. Open up, go for it!" Xia He said slowly.
Ayin, who was trying to drive for the first time, listened to Xiahe's instructions while figuring it out: "First step on the brake, then press D gear, then release the brake, see, does it move forward?"
"Hmm, very good, keep going, don't swerve the steering wheel."
"Yes, very good. Control the straight line. Now gently press the accelerator, applying pressure little by little."
When A-Yin stepped on the gas, she didn't control her strength, and with a sudden burst of power, the car lurched forward, giving the three people in the back seat a real jolt of adrenaline. But Xia He in the passenger seat exclaimed, "Wow, that's exciting! Let's go!"
