Chapter 37 Taking advantage of Lin Chaosheng's absence, they humiliated his wife and sister-in-law!

Lin Shansheng joked, only to be slapped on the forehead by Lin Chaosheng.

"What are you saying?" Lin Chaosheng felt a pang of jealousy.

Liang Mei couldn't help but laugh when she smelled the sour aroma. "Alright," she said, pulling away Lin Chaosheng, who was about to hit Lin Shansheng. "Are you jealous?"

"What do you mean? I was just teaching this kid a lesson for talking nonsense," Lin Chaosheng said, scratching his head sheepishly.

"Alright, let's go sell seafood then." Liang Mei turned around and pushed the cart.

Liang Fu and Wei He quickly went forward to help.

"Alright, let's get ready to go to the black market too," Lin Chaosheng said to Lin Shansheng as he watched the three of them walk away.

The two quickly began to pack the seafood and then added water to the bucket.

As soon as the seafood touched the water, it immediately became lively, jumping and frolicking in the bucket.

"Look how fresh it is! It'll definitely fetch a good price now." Lin Chaosheng was very happy.

Lin Shansheng felt a surge of anticipation. "Then let's go quickly!"

On the other side, Liang Mei, along with Liang Fu and Wei He, had arrived at a crossroads in the village, and the three of them quickly set up the market.

"Hey, isn't this Xiaomei?"

"Oh, what's going on with the three of you?"

"Wow, what's this about? It's just the three of you selling fish today? Where's Lin Chaosheng?"

While setting up her stall, Liang Mei replied, "Chao Sheng has some things to take care of, so he let us set up a stall today. Anyway, I'm just idling at home."

"Wow, Lin Chaosheng is really lucky to have such a virtuous wife at home!" an old lady praised.

"No way, Chaosheng and I are husband and wife, we should help each other," Liang Mei said, seeing so many people, she immediately started to sell, "Everyone come and see, these are all freshly caught fish, affordable and fresh!"

Upon hearing this, everyone rushed forward to take a look. Not only was there a wide variety of fish, but they were all swimming around in the basin, incredibly lively.

"This fish is fresh, how much is it?" an older woman asked.

Liang Mei was immediately perplexed. Just as she was regretting not asking Lin Chaosheng before leaving, Wei He suddenly spoke up.

"Grass carp and crucian carp are two cents a pound, carp and ribbonfish are three cents a pound, and the remaining small yellow croaker is five cents a pound."

Liang Mei looked at Wei He gratefully, thanking him for getting her out of that predicament.

"Then give me a pound of grass carp, that one, please," said Aunt Zhang.

"Give me that."

"I want small yellow croaker."

Upon hearing the price, everyone immediately began scrambling to buy it.

Liang Mei and Liang Fu were busy bagging and weighing the money, while Wei He was counting and giving change. The three of them were completely unaware of the approaching danger.

"Oh, so it's Lin Chaosheng's wife setting up a stall today." Old Qin hid under a big tree, staring at Liang Mei with a wicked smile.

The tall, thin man standing nearby asked, "Boss, do you have any ideas?"

"That son of a bitch Lin Chaosheng made me lose face last time, so today I'm going to steal all those fish and make his wife compensate me while I'm at it." Boss Qin let out a lewd laugh.

Boss Qin looked around to make sure Lin Chaosheng and the others hadn't arrived, then began to give orders, "In a bit, you and Fatty, you two will hold down that other woman and that little one."

"And what about you, boss?" the short, fat man asked.

"I'll grab the fish first, then have a good chat with Lin Chaosheng's wife, hehehe..." Old Qin started daydreaming.

After some people had left, they began to move.

"Can I buy this fish for free?" Boss Qin asked shamelessly.

Liang Mei didn't recognize this person, nor did she know that Lin Chaosheng had a conflict with him before. She thought he was there to exchange his tickets for fish.

Liang Mei then warmly welcomed them, saying, "Do you have tickets? Tickets are fine too."

"No, I don't have any tickets either," Qin Laoda said with a malicious smile.

Liang Mei hadn't realized this person was there to cause trouble. "So, do you have something?"

Before she could finish her question, Boss Qin immediately ordered the tall, thin man and the short, fat man, "Go!"

The two men grabbed Liang Fu and Wei He.

"What are you trying to do? Let me go!" Liang Fu struggled violently.

Wei He was pinned down by the short, fat man and struggled to stand up.

Liang Mei tried to run to help her sister break free, but Qin Laoda grabbed her and said, "Hey! Don't run away, play with me!"

Liang Mei screamed, "Let me go, you scoundrel, let me go!"

Qin Laoda became even more excited and wanted to drag Liang Mei into the alley immediately.

The surrounding crowd consisted mostly of the elderly, the infirm, and the disabled, who were terrified and didn't know what to do.

Fortunately, Lin Shanhai and Zhao Shufang arrived at that moment.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" Zhao Shufang looked around frantically, searching for a weapon.

Lin Shanhai had already rushed forward, picked up a wooden stick, and smashed it down on Qin Laoda's head, yelling, "You filthy scoundrel, go to hell!"

Qin, struck so hard, saw stars in his eyes, covered his head, and squatted down, unable to utter a word.

Wei He then kicked the short, fat man in the groin and broke free.

Then he punched the tall, thin guy in the face, yelling, "Go to hell!"

When Liang Fu saw the tall, thin man being knocked to the ground, she immediately stood up and rushed to Liang Mei's side.

“Sister…” Liang Fu hugged Liang Mei and sobbed.

"It's okay, it's okay, don't be afraid, I'm here!" Liang Mei hugged Liang Fu and patted her back gently.

"Are you two alright?" Zhao Shufang had just found a large rock and quickly stood in front of Liang Mei and Liang Fu.

"It's alright, Mom." Liang Mei forced a smile.

At this moment, Qin Laoda's head had recovered a little. He was about to turn around and find water to throw at him when Lin Shansheng immediately noticed and hit him with a stick again.

Lin Shansheng used all his strength in this blow, knocking Qin Laoda unconscious.

Then he and Wei He began to deal with Qin Laoda's two henchmen.

"Speak! Who sent you?" Lin Shanhai pointed a wooden stick at the tall, thin man.

Zhao Shufang, holding a brick, said to the short, fat man, "Behave yourself and don't move!"

“No one instructed us. The boss just told us to come and steal the fish, and then… and then…” the tall, thin man said tremblingly.

"And then what?" Wei He glared angrily at the tall, thin man.

"Then he said that woman should make it up to him." The tall, thin man pointed at Liang Mei.

"Go to hell!" Zhao Shufang got angry when she heard this and picked up a brick, intending to smash it on the head of the tall, thin man.

Lin Shansheng quickly stopped him. He knew his wife's strength; if that brick hit, the tall, thin man would probably lose his life.

"Calm down, calm down, calm down!" Lin Shansheng grabbed Zhao Shufang's arm. "Don't get agitated!"

"Let me go, let me beat this bastard to death!" Zhao Shufang bared her teeth and claws, wishing she could tear the two of them to pieces.

"I'll let you go this time, now get out of here!" Wei He shouted at the tall, thin man and the short, fat man.

Upon hearing this, the two men immediately scrambled to their feet and helped the unconscious Qin Laoda to his feet, then ran away in a panic.
