"Thank you so much!" Lin Chaosheng said gratefully.
Just as he was about to drive the donkey cart to take Lin Shanhai and Su Hang away, the man that Old Liu was comforting suddenly shouted, "Wait!"
Upon hearing the voice, the three immediately turned around, and Su Hang exclaimed in surprise, "Brother?"
"Brother?" Lin Chaosheng and his son Lin Shanhai looked at Su Hang in surprise, then at the man who was called "brother".
Lin Chaosheng observed carefully and found that Su Hang and that man did indeed have very similar eyebrows and eyes.
Lin Chaosheng, engrossed in observing the two men, did not notice that the man opposite him was about to punch him in the face.
"Bang!" A short, powerful thud sounded on Lin Chaosheng's face.
Lin Chaosheng felt a sudden pain in his face, and then he fell to the ground, his head spinning.
"Brother! What are you doing?" Su Hang shouted.
"Speak!" the man roared at Lin Chaosheng, "Did you kidnap my sister?"
"What the hell is this..." Lin Chaosheng covered his face and shook his head, trying to clear his mind.
"You won't admit it, huh?" The man grabbed Lin Chaosheng by the collar. "I'll beat you until you admit it!"
He then prepared to punch Lin Chaosheng in the face again.
"Old Su, wait a minute, there must be some misunderstanding here!" Old Liu stopped the man.
"Misunderstanding?" The man's neck veins bulged with anger. "He was just about to push the cart and take my sister away. You saw it."
After saying that, he shoved Lao Liu away, "Don't stop me! Today I'm going to make this human trafficker know what the consequences of human trafficking will be!"
"Stop hitting him, he saved me!" Su Hang shouted in the nick of time.
“Look,” Su Hang rolled up his trouser leg, “Brother Lin just took me to see the doctor.”
The man suspiciously stepped forward and examined Su Hang's wound. "Tell me honestly, did some bastard hit you? Don't be afraid of him, I'm here!"
"Hey, brother!" Su Hang was also angry. "He really didn't hit me, I fell down by myself!"
"Brother Lin went through so much trouble to save me from the edge of the cliff, and you still hit him like this? Apologize to him right now!" Su Hang shoved the man.
Lin Shanhai helped Lin Chaosheng up, saying, "Yes, yes, how could my son hit someone? He just rescued this girl today."
"Yes, Lao Su, this Brother Lin is a very capable and kind person. You should find out the situation first before you speak," Lao Liu advised from the side.
The man looked the father and son up and down suspiciously. Seeing that his sister was not afraid of the other party at all, and hearing that Lao Liu was also defending the other party, he began to doubt whether he had really made a mistake.
"Where was he trying to push you just now?" the man asked Su Hang.
"Brother Lin and Uncle Lin were originally going to deliver the goods, but they felt they couldn't delay my injury, so they took me to see an old traditional Chinese medicine doctor first, and even gave him two big fish as payment," Su Hang explained speechlessly.
“Those two big fish were the goods they were supposed to deliver. They were short of goods and were going back to get them, so they dropped me off at their house on the way,” Su Hang continued to explain.
The man paused, then asked, puzzled, "Why would I send you back to his house?"
Su Hang sighed, "Didn't I run away from home? This morning I almost died on that cliff. People went to great lengths to rescue me, took me home, gave me food, and took me to see a doctor. They're preparing to send me back to rest now!"
The man then believed him and quickly stepped forward to apologize to Lin Chaosheng, "Brother, I'm so sorry! I was just too impulsive, and it just so happens that this involves my sister..."
The stars above Lin Chaosheng's head had mostly faded, and he finally understood what had happened. So he waved his hand and said, "It's nothing, it's nothing, I understand."
When Lao Liu heard that they were missing two fish because they had taken them to see a doctor in Su Hang, he quickly said to Lin Chaosheng, "Brother Lin, you don't need to pay for the fish. I'll still charge you the same amount."
Lin Chaosheng was alarmed upon hearing this, "How can that be? In business, you have to be honest!"
Old Liu laughed: "Really, there's no need. Old Su and I have known each other since we were kids. I consider Su Hang to be my own sister. I haven't even repaid you for saving my sister's life yet!"
“I’ll pay for it,” the man who had been reflecting on his actions suddenly spoke up. “Putting everything else aside, I already owe you for the misunderstanding and the beating I gave you. As for repaying you, that’s a separate matter.”
After saying that, he took out some money from his pocket and handed it to Lin Chaosheng.
"Thank you so much for saving my sister. We've become friends through a misunderstanding. From now on, your problems are my problems. If you don't mind, you can call me Brother Su." Old Su said gratefully, shaking Lin Chaosheng's hand.
Lin Chaosheng took the money in a daze and said, "Saving people is the right thing to do. I'll consider this as my medical expenses."
Old Su burst into laughter, "Good! Just for your straightforwardness, I've decided you're my brother! My name is Su Ning, what's yours?"
“My name is Lin Chaosheng, and this is my father, Lin Shanhai,” Lin Chaosheng replied.
"Now that we're brothers, if you ever need any help, be sure to call me!" Su Ning said solemnly.
Then he turned to Su Hang and said, "Now come home with me."
"No!" Su Hang glared at Su Ning.
"What, you haven't forgiven your brother yet?" Su Ning asked. "Okay, I won't let you go on any more blind dates."
“It’s not about blind dates,” Su Hang shook his head. “I think I can make a name for myself, and besides, I can’t bear to part with Sister Mei.”
"Sister Meizi?"
“She’s Brother Lin’s wife, her name is Liang Mei,” Su Hang explained.
"I plan to learn to cook from Brother Lin's mother after my leg heals, and also take care of Sister Meizi, who is newly pregnant," Su Hang continued.
"Old Su, why don't you just listen to me? Xiao Hang is already so grown up, and besides, you can't take care of her forever," Old Liu said.
Su Hang immediately nodded in agreement, "Brother Liu is right, I'll have to rely on myself sooner or later."
After listening, Su Ning sighed, "Never mind, you've grown up now, and you'll have to walk your own path from now on. But if anyone bullies you, you must tell your brother!"
Su Hang happily hugged Su Ning, "I know, brother, don't worry!"
"Then I'll take you back, and see if there's anything I can do to help," Su Ning suggested.
Seeing Su Hang's pleading expression, Lin Chaosheng had no choice but to agree, "Okay, let's go."
"This will also relieve her brother's worries," Lin Chaosheng thought.
