Chapter 301 Finding Someone

During lunch, Li Chu told his wife about the matter and his plans.

After listening, Ding Qiunan remained silent for a long time before finally uttering a sentence.

“Director Liang’s youngest son is a real scoundrel. If our son ever does something like that, I promise I’ll strangle him.”

"Pfft...cough cough cough..."

Li Chu almost choked on her words.

The 101st way a time traveler can die: choking to death on a single sentence from his wife while eating.

"What nonsense are you spouting!"

"Hehe, I was just saying. My son is so well-behaved, he definitely won't do such a thing when he grows up."

What else could he do? It was his wife. Li Chu could only roll his eyes helplessly.

When he got off work in the afternoon and went home, a large cloth bag was already hanging on the handlebars of his bicycle. Inside were three pig heads, more than a dozen pig trotters, and some pig liver, all of which had been cleaned.

Once you get home, simply rinse it with water and you can braise it directly.

Ding Qiunan was already used to her man occasionally bringing her good things; he always had some strange and wonderful abilities.

The next evening, Li Chu borrowed a cart and put on it braised pig's head, several pig's trotters, ten catties of millet, two hundred catties of cornmeal, and two packets of malted milk powder.

He led Xiao Hei toward where Director Liang lived.

When they reached a nearby spot, Li Chu used the roadside green belt to load the cart and all its contents into the warehouse. Then, he led Xiao Hei to the entrance of the large courtyard where Director Liang lived.

Tell Xiao Hei to go in and find Director Liang, and take him to the green belt where you just saw him.

Watching Xiao Hei run into the yard, Li Chu turned around and went back to where he had just put away the cart.

He didn't know if Xiao Hei could bring the person out; although it had met Director Liang, it had only done so twice.

As soon as Xiao Hei darted into the courtyard, he was spotted.

He's so big and looks so fierce that most people wouldn't dare to come up to him.

For some reason, Xiao Hei wandered into the yard and sat down in the middle. The people in the yard were scared and no one dared to go near it. Two young men even tried to hit Xiao Hei with shovels, thinking that such a big dog could probably yield a lot of meat if killed.

As a result, Xiao Hei bared its teeth and growled, scaring Xiao Hei so much that it dropped the shovel and ran away.

Director Liang's family of nine squeezed into a room of less than 20 square meters. They rarely went out, and although they heard noises in the yard, they didn't pay any attention.

The two daughters-in-law, carrying their empty rice bowls, were about to go to the sink in the yard to wash the dishes when they were startled and turned back.

"My goodness, such a big dog, and it's pure black. I don't know where it came from, it scared me to death."

The eldest son's wife put down her bowl and refused to go out.

Director Liang sat on a small stool with his head down, his face full of worry. He didn't know when this would end.

He didn't pay any attention to what his eldest daughter-in-law said.

The eldest brother stood up, ready to go out and see what was going on.

His wife grabbed him and said, "Don't go out. There's no one in the yard. That dog looks almost as big as a tiger."

The second brother also stood up: "It's okay, sister-in-law. My brother and I will stay at the door and watch. We won't go out."

The two brothers lifted the curtain and peeked outside.

There were no lights in their yard, but by the light coming from the surrounding houses, they could vaguely see a large black dog sitting in the middle of the yard.

Just as his wife said, that guy was unusually big. He wondered whose pet it was and how it got here.

The two brothers didn't dare go out; they took a couple of glances and then lowered the curtain.

The second brother smacked his lips and said, "It's really big. We could get a lot of meat from killing this guy."

The eldest brother nodded: "But pure black ones are quite rare."

At this moment, Director Liang seemed to realize something: "What are you talking about, a big dog, all black?"

"Dad, a big black dog suddenly appeared in our yard. It's huge and completely black. Everyone in the yard was scared and went home."

"A big dog? Pure black?"

Director Liang felt like he had seen this somewhere before.

Suddenly he thought of something, stood up from the small stool, and walked outside.

"Old man, where are you going? Don't try to be a hero."

His wife grabbed his arm, preventing him from leaving.

Director Liang shook off his hand: "I'll just take a look. According to what you've said, I know whose dog it is?"

"Grandpa, I want to see the big dog too." His eldest grandson was doing his homework at the table and had been itching to go out and see it.

"Hurry up and do your homework, don't cause trouble."

As they were talking, Director Liang had already reached the door, lifted the curtain, and looked into the middle of the courtyard.

The more he looked at it, the more it resembled the real thing. Gritting his teeth, Director Liang walked straight out.

This terrified the two sons, but they dared not shout for fear of startling the dog. The two brothers exchanged a glance, each grabbed a small stool, and followed the dog outside.

The three women left in the room stared at each other, which angered Director Liang's wife so much that she wanted to go out as well, but her two daughters-in-law held her back, preventing her from leaving and only letting her stand by the window to watch.

Director Liang slowly walked up to Xiao Hei, his two sons each carrying a stool, following behind him cautiously.

Xiao Hei tilted his head and looked at the person walking over. He also stood up, walked to Director Liang's leg, and sniffed.

It recognized him and grabbed Director Liang's trouser leg, pulling it outwards.

This nearly scared Director Liang's two sons to death. They picked up stools to smash the chairs, but Director Liang quickly stopped them.

He recognized it too; he had indeed seen this dog before, and it should be one of the dogs that Li Chu kept.

It seems to want me to go out with it.

Director Liang hesitated for a moment, then whispered to his two sons, "You two go in first. I recognize this dog; it belongs to Xiao Chu. He might have sent the dog to find me. I'll go out and take a look."

"Dad, you're not mistaken, are you? Please don't let anything happen to you." The eldest son was a little worried.

“Yes, Dad, this dog looks too fierce. I’ve never seen such a big dog before.”

"Alright, I won't admit my mistake. I'll go out and take a look. You guys go back and tell your mom not to worry."

After saying that, Director Liang ignored his two sons and walked straight to the door.

The eldest son wanted to go out with his father, but when Xiao Hei turned around and whimpered, he was so frightened that he pulled his foot back.

Many people in the courtyard were looking out of their windows and found the scene quite strange.

Watching the big dog lead their father out the door, the eldest and second eldest brothers had no choice but to turn around and go back inside.

Where did your dad go?

"Mom, Dad said he knows that dog, and that it must have come looking for him, so he went out to check it out and didn't want us to go with him," the eldest son said in a low voice.
